From the moment you walk in there are maidens and squires to greet you. Consider it like a starving actors playhouse on a giant stage, with different stages at several locations and if you take the time to stay, funny, some actually involve the audience in their act making them do silly things and getting the crowd laughing hilariously. Some things I've never seen at other Festivals were the Jousting skills challenge and tournament. An actual fencing where you can challenge a friend or family member !!!! Yes, you put on a vest and a fencing helmet and glove and try to pop balloons attached to each others helmet. Archery. A covered sit down eating area, where a live band walks around and plays bagpipes and drums: entertaining . Free games like Balance tower and giant chess boards : which we played. After every show or act they ask for donations, which is worth it, but, does bring cost up. I took my 2 kids and it cost me $ 64 to get in, then donations for each show, then food; at the end of the day it ended up costing me $120 for the three of us. It was a great time with my kids, they were laughing and enjoying the shows and the games, so at the end it was worth it.

We got to take pictures with the Easter bunny, go through the sunflower maze, my son got to play in the children's playground, he was able to participate in the egg hunt and we had some delicious açai bowls for lunch! There are also so many beautiful activations throughout the farm to take cute Easter photos. They do such a great job decorating the farm!

This was my second visit to the RBB festival. Like other festivals at Fruit & Spice Park, you can…read moreopt to try your luck parking on the swale of SW 248 St., or you can, for only $5 park in a field on the east side of the park with it's own entrance. You pay the $10 festival admission at the same time as the parking. It is much easier this way. The price of admission lets you see the whole park, if you're into horticulture. The fest itself takes up about half the park. There were several bbq vendors, as well as a Thai food booth and a conch fritter booth (George Mira's: very delicious). I enjoyed my first visit better; some of the things that changed were 1) there were only 2 bands, whereas before there'd been at least 5. One of the bands, Southern Stampede, featuring young guitar virtuoso AJ Gaytan, was great, and alone worth the price of admission. 2) There was only one one beer vendor, Exit One Taproom of Florida City. They were good, don't get me wrong, but you only got a small cup of craft beer for $6. Previously, some food vendors were allowed to sell more mainstream beer at a better price; I bet it's probably some dumb legal rule the Miami-Dade Parks Dept. thought up! Luckily, you ARE allowed (at least through the side entrance) to bring in a cooler, so I had plenty of Bud Light (my preferred choice if I'm going to be in the hot sun listening to music for awhile). 3) The prices of the ribs were high, as they were only selling full, or in some cases, half racks. I thought it'd be a cool idea to have, say, a sampler portion at a reasonable cost so you could pick and choose. I ended up choosing a known vendor, T&W Barbecue, with a smokey Georgia style full rack, as well as an order of redneck nachos, featuring wonderfully tender pulled bbq pork. 4) This is a family friendly event, but it'd be nice if they provided a separate play area. I was seated near the stage trying to enjoy the bands, but a lot of kids and parents were playing ball and blocking the view. For the life of me, I don't know why these parents were letting their kids within feet of PA speakers blasting high decibel music with no ear protection, but.... In any case, this is an enjoyable springtime festival that is worth a visit. Just bring cash for the bbq, and your own beer filled cooler, and you'll be fine!

Some areas could use clearer signage, and the place felt a bit understaffed at times but nothing that ruined the experience. Overall, it's a worthwhile visit. Adults will enjoy it, and kids will almost certainly love it.

Quickly grab the attentions of goats and sheep by purchasing a small bucket of hay for $5. The animals are not shy and they have endless appetites. Pinto's Farm also has a race track, pony and tractor rides. The Brewery House offers food and refreshments and Pinto's Ice Cream Truck sells handcrafted milkshakes. General admission is $20 per person on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Overall, Pinto's Farm is a pleasant way to spend a few quality hours within the suburban community of Miami, FL.

The produce selection at the market is huge, and it's actually kind of fun comparing prices between vendors. My only wish is that there were more certified organic fruits and vegetables available. If organic produce is your top priority, that may be a downside. But if you're looking for seasonal fruits, including seeded watermelons (yes, fruit is supposed to have seeds!), you'll find plenty of options.
