From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, kind, and clearly cared about every pet that came through the door. Pre-registration online was quick and easy. We showed up at 7:30 AM on a beautiful morning, and even though the weather was perfect for waiting outside, the team graciously invited us in. Everyone in the queue seemed pleased and thankful--there was a calm, grateful energy in the room that really stood out. I saw many, many cats being brought in for surgery too, and the staff handled everything smoothly and with heart. While we waited, I noticed how patient and attentive the team was with other pet parents who had lots of questions. Nobody was rushed, and everyone walked away feeling reassured. When it was time to pick up Coco, I received clear, caring instructions about what to expect in the days ahead. It gave me peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. After such a positive experience, I'm genuinely surprised by the low Yelp rating. Maybe things have changed--because what I saw was a team of people doing their absolute best for pets and their families. I'm so grateful and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

I scheduled the appointment + Rabies and they text me two days before to verify some information. There was a discrepancy with her FVCRP and they needed to give her a 4th dose. I agreed although was hesitant due to a possible reaction with her third one. I also asked about receiving extra pain meds to take home with me which they normally don't do. When I arrived the day of, things moved quickly, check in was easy, and staff were friendly. I literally didn't encounter one rude or inconsiderate person while there. The front desk lady asked more about the FVRCP, noted the possible reaction and printed my medical records and highlighted it so the vet could assess and decide which I true appreciated as I was already hesitant to give rabies with the spay. They later called me to say they weren't going to do it because they didn't want any possible issues. Again SUPER thankful for that! I picked her up around 5:15, she was a little loopy still and I did receive my extra pain meds. The front desk did say she would likely sleep the whole way home (1hr) and oddly that was not the case. She was very anxious, irritable, and agitated coming out of the anesthesia to the point that I couldn't even put the cone on her when we got home. She was thrashing around and chewing at her incision and I was afraid for her safety so we ended up going to an UrgentVet for some sedation medication (Gabapentin) which ultimately helped calm her down enough that she laid down. This is likely a one off situation and I don't fault the clinic at all! I only give 4 because I do feel like you should at least be offered pain/sedation meds after the procedure - I know these are difficult to give pets sometimes which is why they don't, but the option may prevent some of this in the future. Regardless, I had a great experience with the clinic the pricing was what I anticipated (and paid 10yrs ago), the staff were wonderful, and everything looks good so far. Would highly recommend for a cheaper option as I know other quotes I got were upwards of $800 and it was only $112 for rabies + spay + meds/cone.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Calypso Kennels!…read more Fester had never stayed at a kennel before -- he has always stayed with family or friends because he is very particular about who he is comfortable coming into contact with and has quite a bit of anxiety. We were SO relieved when we found Calypso and learned that they offer no-contact boarding. Knowing there was an option that would keep both Fester and the staff safe while still making sure he was well cared for gave us so much peace of mind, especially since we were going to be out of the country for an extended trip. We were told that by about day four, Fester had warmed up and settled into his routine, and that he was on his best behavior throughout his stay! When we picked him up, he was happy, healthy, and clearly had been very well taken care of. We also want to give a huge thank you to every member of the staff who helped care for him. Fester is getting older and requires quite a bit of medication on a daily basis, so we know his care was not exactly simple. Knowing that everyone took the time to follow his routine, give him his medications, respect his boundaries, and keep our guy comfortable while we were thousands of miles away means more to us than we can say. Before this trip, the thought of boarding Fester was honestly something we worried about. Now, having a place we know can safely and successfully care for him gives us such a sense of relief for future trips. Thank you to everyone at Calypso Kennels for taking such good care of our guy. Anna and her husband always listen to how I want them groomed - although now I don't even need to tell them. They know how I'd like the dogs to be groomed. Even better - Anna's prices are AMAZING. My dogs are about 30lbs - and she charges $55 for a full groom: bath, blow dry, hair cut, nails done, ears cleaned. Considering PetCo charges almost double for that (for 1 dog!) - I'm thrilled! Finally - they always make time for my girls, which is good because I rarely manage to make an appointment ahead of time. They gave a whole lecture about how they love all of their dogs and have the right to take the dog back if they find out it's not being treated well, etc., etc. My dogs they didn't care so much about. My beagle was bleeding when I picked him up. Nothing was said to me about it. And both dogs had their harnesses wrapped around their necks instead of properly on their bodies. I was told the staff didn't know how they worked. Really? Just be aware. They look like a great facility, but they may not give you the service they promise.

I've been here twice and both times I haven't been impressed what-so-ever. First off, shot records. I've brought there shot records three times. Once when I made the first appointment, then they asked if I could bring them when I brought my two pups in, then they asked when I picked them up cause they didn't input them in the system, then when I made another appointment the next month, they asked me to bring the shot records AGAIN! pricing.... I have two mini schnauzers in which I usually trim every 3-4 weeks. In hawaii, I was paying 45 dollars for a bath, degland, ear cleaning and grooming per pup. Here I was charged 60 dollars per dog! I have no problem paying it, if I was getting 60 dollars worth of customer service. There seems to always be a scheduling conflict in this place. I dropped my two mini schnauzers off at 11 am on the dot as requested and I was told three hours, which is even a little slower then my Hawaii groomer but I thought whatever. I was told they'd be ready at 300-330, which is 4 to 4.5 hours later. I stopped by at 330 and they then told me another hour and then I wasn't called until 5pm! 6 hours after I dropped them off! End result, if you have an entire day to waste and want to overpay for mediocre service at best, this is the best pet salon for you. However, I wouldn't recommend this pet salon to anyone. P.S.
