This place is wonderful. I take my hound to get his nails cut and its the first time I have seen him let anyone cut his nails. I also have 3 (ederly) yorkies and they cut them perfectly. Took our Aussie here yesterday and we would never subject our dog to that again. They kept him for 4 hours and when we picked him up there was a lady in the back yelling at him (by name). The young lady up front stuck her head around the corner and told her that we were there to which she replied "good" (yelling). Then told us that he chewed something up (a wire, not sure why that would have been where he could get it) and peed on the floor so they charged my wife $20 for each of those things. Then, once we got him home and started looking him over the cut it terrible. Very choppy, still has a matte by his tail and (worst of all) he has some scratches and a burn under his belly. Do not go here!!! I took my one year old mini golden doodle due to his normal groomer not being available.. Worst decision ever. Aside from his haircut being choppy and a mess. When I called to make the appointment, they told me haircut start at $90. When I dropped him off, I confirmed the price and she stayed. Yeah he's not matted or anything so it'll be $90. When I picked him up, First red flag is a bunch of dogs charge the gate but then they charged me $140 and stated he wasn't the Best behaved so it required two of us to work on him. My dog has been going to the groomers for a year never once before has any Groomer ever told me that he's not well-behaved of need multiple people to groom him but then on top of that not one person called to say hey we have to add this additional $50 fee because your dog is poorly behaved, Are you OK with that completely unprofessional. I spent several minutes on the phone Saturday May 30th explaining my concerns for my 13 year old lab mix. The Aquia Grooming employee seemed to understand about his anxieties and that I would give him a tranquilizer one hour before his noon appointment on Sunday May 31. She said they had fewer "babies" in on Sunday and that was when they did dogs with special needs. My wife and I arrived at noon and they said it would take two hours and they would give us a call 20 minutes prior to him being finished. We stayed in the area and shopped and enjoyed being out of the house. Three o'clock came and we hadn't heard anything. My wife went in and the lady said it would be five or six o'clock before he would be finished. I went in and asked if anything had been done with him and was told no. She said, "we had two cats come in we didn't expect." Really ??? He had been laying in the back with numerous barking dogs and a tranquilizer that was wearing off. She nonchalantly said, "you can take him if you want." I said I will take him so she led him to the front, dropped his harness and leash on the counter, and turned and walked to the back without saying another word. My wife and I were expecting a phone call to come pick him up but got there and he hadn't even been started. We got no call saying he would be finished later, and my biggest issue is they knew my concerns about him and that he had been medicated. This blatant disregard, not really for me because that's just a bad business practice, but toward my dog to let him lie there knowing he had special needs was unethical and immoral considering the care of animals is their business. I expect my dog and cat to be taken care of just as my kids were taken care of by their pediatrician. Aquia Grooming failed in that expectation yesterday. I cannot give them a more negative review and recommendation. It's just not possible to have a more negative view. read more

Honestly the best groomers my dog has ever been too, and that saying a lot because we are a military family. We have lived in 3 different states now and this place is the only salon by far that has made me feel like my girl is in good hands. They are so welcoming when you get there and my favorite thing was when I was picking Natty up she was laying in the window in a room she was in, I just saw her chilling and relaxing. It was absolutely adorable and made me want to cry honestly knowing she was having an anxiety attack in a kennel. The environment is so calm which every pet needs going into situations that can possibly stress them out since now many animals enjoy baths or nail trims. I have another appointment next weekend with them and I look forward to bringing Natty again! read more

I took my two cute havanese puppies on May 31st for their 1st cuts and they did a terrible job! Me and my pups are traumatized for our 1st experience with cuts! If I could give them zero stars I would! Kat totally shaved both puppies all the way down to skin and it is very uneven & choppy. For my $150 dollars it was the worst! We won't be taking them back! Both pups had beautiful long hair and one had some knots on belly. The other puppy didn't have knots at all yet they shaved him bald too. When I tell you they look awful, thats being generous. It took 4 hours for this mess they sent my puppies home with. Also, they have both been scratching endlessly since we picked them up. They had to cut them in this ugly almost bald cut. I told them I hated the cut! My poor babies....Beware and take your puppies somewhere else. read more

Subject: It's been week already since we had a very unpleasant experienced with our pet groomers  Aquia Grooming. We have been taking our Yorkie to her for several years now and they have always done a good job. Well last Friday we dropped him off to get his usual grooming and later in the day we received a phone call stating that they noticed he had a scratch on rear right leg. I asked was it something that requires medical attention and how did he get scratched. The groomer said , "oh it small but noticeable and they just wanted to make us aware and that it didn't require medical attention" also that they said it must have been there before we dropped him off because nothing happened to him there. We begin to immediately become concerned because we know that we check over him everyday and would have noticed a scratch and he would have been licking the area if it was injured or irritated. None of which he had done. When we picked him up we saw that this was not a scratch it was a open wound and it certainly wasn't there when we dropped him off. After we questioned the groomers they denied that anything happened to him while being at the groomers. We were concerned about his injury and disappointed that they were not being truthful as his cut is very consistent with being trimmed to closely. We later called back and continued to express our concerns and they still said they don't believe nothing happened to him while under there care. After a couple of days treating his wound, we took him to the vet and they said he needed sitches right away to close the wound.  We understand that mistakes happens but we expect them to own up to it !! SAD & DISAPPOINTED with Aquia Groomers. Worst experience ever with them and will nolonger we using there services!!! read more

my dogs 3rd and last time here i have a Lahas a apso thats about 15 lbs . lots of hair i have him shaved down every 3-4 months vor i try to any way lasst time i took him here he wasnt shaved down ears werent cleaned or plucked paw pads were still full of dirt and nailes werent clipped . i got him home and noticed all they did to his tail which should have been shaved down because it was matted and i specifically said to clipp it wasnt . it was 1 big mat brushed out to look like they did something. they then charged me 185.00 for this and asked if i wanted to round it up to 200. and have credit on my acct i asked where is the credit from my last time i was here . they told me there wasnt any credit. last time i went there and am now looking for another groomer read more

I read the reviews on yelp, I saw a few mentions on Stafford talk, so I thought I'd take my girls here. All I can say is they were bathed, they smell good and their bandanas are pretty. The cut on both of my dogs was simply horrible. Uneven as hell and I don't think they were allowed to drink the whole time they were at Aquia Grooming, they both drank a whole bowl full of water when we got home. And I think my young one knows she has a bad haircut. She doesn't even look like an Airedale any longer. I won't be back and I will not be recommending them to my other dog friends. read more

I'm so so happy!!! My baby looks and smells great! We were not able to get our grooming due to the hurricane at home. I looked on Yelp and read some reviews and called Aquia they were able to get Princess in the same day. She's a very old lady and don't like her feet or face touched. She was initially very nervous and shaking. When I picked her up she was no longer nervous, but happy, tail full of wags!!! I will come back here next time we are in town and need a grooming! I take our two weird-looking labradoodle type dogs there and Anna has done wonders with them. They always come back beautiful, clean, and thoroughly groomed from nose to tail. Anna and her husband always listen to how I want them groomed - although now I don't even need to tell them. They know how I'd like the dogs to be groomed. Even better - Anna's prices are AMAZING. My dogs are about 30lbs - and she charges $55 for a full groom: bath, blow dry, hair cut, nails done, ears cleaned. Considering PetCo charges almost double for that (for 1 dog!) - I'm thrilled! Finally - they always make time for my girls, which is good because I rarely manage to make an appointment ahead of time. I adopted a rat terrier dog 2 years ago and have been bringing her here ever since we got her. As always, Trixie does not like to be away from me, but she absolutely loves the staff here! They are always friendly and loving to Trixie and it makes me feel good, as a dog mom, leaving Trixie there knowing she's taken very good care of. Trixie has her little quirks; since she's a rescue, I have no idea what the first 6 years of her life were like. Aquia Grooming does a great job handling the fact that she's dog averse and is really just an old lady with her little nuances. I've taken Trixie to a different groomer (in Stafford next to One Life Fitness) and had a terrible experience and also, the lady acted like she didn't have time to bother with fixing Trixie's hair when I told her I didn't like something. Also, Aquia Grooming always makes time for Trixie and I love that! Unless they're overly booked, they take her in with no problem and call me when she's finished. I'm very oppose to using yelp as a source of rating at any place for it can be very bad for business, granted it is being rated one sided. But my review is to ensure that the mistake that happened to my puppy never happens again. I took my 11 month old golden doodle for his very first hair cut Sunday November 24,2019 at 9:00 a.m. We knew he had a lot of knots so we knew from the get go he would be losing majority of his hair. Our groomer Kat informed us that she used a flea dip treatment on our dog since she noticed some fleas on him. Post his visit we noticed some unusual changes in his behavior. Very lethargic, loss of appetite and trouble using the restroom. Both of his back paws very bleeding severely because his nails were cut too short. He was scratching himself all night to the point that his skin was bleeding. His razor burns were so severe, and the flea dip that they gave him caused him to havadverse reaction. I took him to the vet immediately and was charged with over $200 worth of bills, and my dog was prescribed antibiotics. I reached out to the groomer and got no reply. Incidents like this shouldn't be taken lightly, especially a routine groomer visit. To top it off, the groomers could've had a decency to reply back granted this was a careless mistake on their part. Never again would I come back to this place or let alone advise any pet owners to take their loved ones here! read more

Great place. We took our golden doodle to Aquia because our old place didn't do a good job. He would get washed and the next day the fresh smell was gone and the always cut all of his hair off. Aquia always does a great job. Our pup comes home well groomed and the clean smell stays for a few days. I think they use very good products. I just got my Shih Tzu back from this groomer, and she looks horrible. We gave the very specific instructions on how we like her to look (nothing crazy mind you, just some specifics that my husband and I like to convey prior to hair being cut off). None of it was followed. None. You can tell she was not bathed, or dried. They did a choppy job all over her body and legs. and didnt touch her tail or head. I am so pissed, if i could put negative stars, I would. This is the second time we took her there, thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt, and it was the biggest mistake ever! From now on my dog will only go to one gromer in te 610 area and thats Gone to the Dogs. She never looks anything short of a princess when she is done with an appointment there. read more

Tierney is bubbly, sweet and makes my furbabies want to come see her. She does an amazing job and knows what she is doing when it comes to dog grooming.
