The…read morelibrary is but a few blocks from its' old location where they had outgrown the older, smaller building. The library is situated in a beautiful park setting. They have everything you can think of from a bookstore, outside seating, copy area, computer room, fireplace with cozy seating to children's area. The personnel are knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased books from the Friends of the Library bookstore as well as browsed books that were lining the many rows of shelves of books. I especially enjoy reading the magazines and newspapers. If you are in the area, stop in, relax and read for a bit.

Also at the front of the entrance are a nice selection of mobility aids for those that need a little assistance getting around. The entrance itself is full of beautiful plants, trees and scenic decorations, making the entire vibe very welcoming. There is a computer room in the far back, a heft section of nothing but large print books. The front desk people were very knowledgeable and friendly.

However, I was in need of somewhere quiet to connect to video calls and I didn't have much time, so I somewhat begrudgingly headed over. There are plenty of friendly staff members to help answer your questions, obviously tons of books, a large and colorful children's area, an outdoor area, a vending machine area, computer area, plenty of desks, and private rooms for members. I am not a resident or member, so I headed outside to a beautiful terrace and I'm now back for my second day working here because I loved it so much. I haven't looked too deeply, but there also appear to be programs for community members of all ages to partake in - from book clubs and writers groups to knitting groups, summer craft kits, language conversation groups, speed dating with a book, and so much more. I'm literally so impressed with everything this library has to offer. I will be back and this may inspire me to also visit my own library back home. We decided to stop in because we heard they have tonies box to rent out. The second floor on the right side is a massive children's area. They have tables and chairs. They have a lot of little toy areas that they can play with. They have an imaginary play puppet area too. When you check out, they have a self checkout where you can scann the card and then the items. They have bags to check out too for carrying the books in. You can print a receipt which will tell you when items are due back. I also took a photo just in case. The desks have people working there that are super helpful. They answered so many questions. My husband went to the other side up top and looked at some books while the kids were playing. They also have activities and storytime classes that you can attend. Staff is friendly and the building gets the job done. My only question - why are you locking the drop boxes on days the library is closed? The drop box exists outside of the library so that you can interact with it without having to visit the library. The library being closed should not impact being able to drop off a book in a bin outside the library. What are we doing here? Stop that.
