A great selection of books, DVD's and CD's. Tons of books available for e-readers and a cute book room with a nice selection of used items.

Great library. But not too many study tables. Lots of private rooms but I study alone so it's not as useful. Great selection though.

The architecture inside is worth the visit itself. There is a place to shop, browse and outright purchase books and other items for a fraction of the cost. If you are seeking peace and quite, sneak off into one of the little cubby rooms to read, meditate, make phone calls or work on your computer. There are plenty of open spaces to relax and unwind with a good book or magazine while still participating in a public, social experience. There are plenty of windows to gaze out into the beautiful park or quaint city scenery. They have books for those that struggle to read with smaller print. There is a very large section of large print books. A children and teen section as well as every subject the adult could want for book selection. A beautiful, wonderful resource for the Birmingham, MI area.

They have an atrium where you can snack and be loud, but the inside has the expectation of quiet! They have a little "bookstore" at the very front, I assume for books they want to retire, and operate off the honor system! Everything is $3 or LESS! Lots of carts marked $1 or 2/$1. I think they may have reading classes or story hour for children in the mornings, I got here at 9:30 and heard what sounded like a teacher talking to parents about their kids! They have toy bags and activities for young kids, a fish tank, and a globe! It's overall a really comfy place to spend quiet time in the Word.

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this library yet. I recently officially moved to Farmington Hills…read morebecause my husband lived here (he had bought a house here before we met), and therefore I switched from my home Clawson library to this one. Overall this is a really nice, modern library. Huge space overall, with lots of computers, it seems, and a big kids/YA section too. The bathrooms are a bit old school / high school-ish, with tiny stalls. I usually stop by here when I have a book or two on hold, and the hold area inside is easy to find ... they also have an outdoor locker area of sorts you can use. For returns, there's an outdoor slot if you don't want to go into the library, but it's a bit hidden - it's on the side of the building closest to the USPS building across the street (East side of building, I believe, then). Overall, very nice library, I kinda just wish the walk from the parking lot to the entrance was shorter, especially in winter.

I just started taking out books in the fall and it couldn't be simpler to do. If they don't have…read morewhat I'm looking for they can usually get it with 2 business days. They automatically renew your books if you haven't returned them twice. I'm loving this library and kicking myself for not getting a card sooner. Top notch service here. I highly recommend stopping in and picking up something to read or more.

It is acclaimed to be one of the finest libraries in the country. It is wonderful to have a third generation of my family enjoying and discovering all that the library has to offer. My granddaughter loves the children's room. Her imagination gets to run with the kitchen play area, doll house, puzzles, puppets and the books. This puts me in the mind of the Dr. Seuss book, Oh The Places You Will Go! The library has plenty of room and space for the whole family. Parents please note: You MUST keep your children with you at all times. You also can not drop your children off and leave them unattended for their safety.
