Downtown Forest Park...Great service. Minority owned. Friendly inclusive staff. Inviting. Maybe like 5 tables of seating area but there is a down stairs lounge. Three door entries for accessibility. If this place was crowded it would be tighter. I always order drip coffee and today was no different except I had a wait a couple of minutes for light roast which was fine. The coffee is tasty but not the best that I've ever had. I didn't like that I had to move the medium sized bathroom garbage can to shut the door as they were using it as a stopper. But the bathroom is gender neutral and very clean. Quiet and clearly friendly environment. Street metered parking but not expensive. I worked return here because of the seating and historic window vibe. The one in downtown oak Park is kinda tucked away but the outside tables in nice weather is a vibe. read more

We had oat milk matcha teas; mine with strawberry syrup. They were yummy and the perfect temperature. We also had breakfast sandwiches which for an upcharge we had made vegan. English muffin with vegan sausage, vegan Gouda, and vegan egg. It was super hot in temperature; would definitely hold up for a ride. It was delicious. For me, the main positive was an incredible buttermilk old fashioned donut. My cup of coffee was fine but ordinary. The street level space is tiny with very limited seating and limited high tops for standing. If there was any attractiveness to the ambiance, I didn't notice while I worried about getting a seat. There's a large space downstairs that was well lit and spacious but uninteresting due to being subterranean in an otherwise lovely little city. There's enough space for small groups to meet up and talk. It was very quiet. read more

Love their Kribi Macchiato and Matcha Lattes. I especially love getting the matcha because they source it from the tea shop across the street (Todd & Holland), so it feels like you're supporting two local businesses in one drink! I'm not a huge fan of the drip coffee, but then again I prefer espresso or cold brew drinks more. I enjoy dropping by in the mornings for a breakfast sandwich, especially last year when they had a breakfast sandwich combo. Monday and Thursday specials are an amazing motivation to head over. They even had a week where any drink was $2 if you brought your own cup. Keep an eye out for great deals and fun ways to support your local business. read more

The coffee shop has the wonderful smell of fresh roasted beans which they should totally charge admission for, because that is a wonderful smell. The light roast has a clean roasted taste and fruity finish and the vanilla latte is beautifully foamy with a fresh vanilla bean flavor. I'll be thinking about both of those until I go back. They have a delightful option of bagels, scones and donuts. It was hard to decide. The everything bagel from Onion Roll had a nice crispy outside and chew to it and the Denver Scone is best heated but tasty. read more

I got the more exotic sounding blend of which I asked about the origins and they weren't quite clear, but that wasn't as important as to how it tasted. I took a sit for a few minutes in their nice sunny small storefront and enjoyed the local vibe, with street art panels outside, before heading out for my day. This place is amazing. I've liked the coffees I've gotten every time. We even got a smoothie once and it was really good. I love getting their breakfast sandwiches on a bagel. They have fresh bagels. I like that they offer vegan meat and cheese. They also have a really great selection of donuts. We've gotten their wraps from the fridge that are prepared by White Oak (I believe). These are really great for a snack or light lunch. There's a lot of seating here. I've seen a lot of people working on their laptops, so I assume their wifi is pretty good too! read more

I had heard of Kribi quite a few times but never got a chance to visit since I do not live nearby. My parents and I were in the area for a doctor's appointment and decided to stop by. My go to drink whenever I am checking out a coffee shop for the first time is an iced vanilla latte made with oat milk. The one at Kribi is solid - the vanilla flavor does not taste artificial and the espresso itself is strong and smooth. My dad ordered an iced hazelnut latte made with whole milk and said it was one of the best hazelnut lattes he'd ever tried. My mom ordered a regular hot coffee with cream. She said it was very good and not too strong. Kribi has a wide selection of baked goods and the bonjour bakery morning roll caught our attention. We ordered one to share and instantly regretted it. My mom went back to the counter and ordered three more to take home! The bonjour morning roll is layers of laminated dough filled with sugar. The pastry is flaky and pillowy at the same time. Definitely order one with your coffee! The people at the counter were so welcoming and friendly. The space itself is quite nice with ample seating and colorful decor. The first visit coming here was very pleasant. I was greeted with bright smiles at 7:00AM that's a plus these days. I ordered a small hot lavender latte and a plain bagel with cream cheese. The prices are kind of on the high side. A plain bagel (the only bagel they sale) was $3.50. My lavender latte was so good. Good Service and Delicious lavender latte made my morning even better. Stopped by again for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat before work and I was once again left very satisfied. I opted to get a kougin amann, which the nice lady behind the bar described as a pastry similar to a croissant, but with brown sugar instead of butter. And...boy...oh boy, was that frickin' amazing. It's a wonderful French pastry with sugared, buttered, laminated dough that's part croissant and part sticky bun. Absolutely delicious warmed up and I may or may not have inhaled it. I'm pretty simple when it comes to coffee and really enjoy their black coffee. I love the little sample bags they have of their roasted beans at the end of the bar! One of the only spots around that makes a good(not passable, but good) matcha latte, a cappuccino that doesn't just taste like hot milk, and a strong espresso. Enjoyed this really cozy local cafe. Just picked up something quick and on the go! Ice chai tea latte with whip cream was just right. Not too sweet which I like. The blueberry muffin was soft, light, and tasty! It was nice and warm and just enough blueberries in it. Staff are very friendly. Tables outside and inside whichever you prefer.
