    Sloppy work. You get what you pay for. Lender or real estate agent recommend them bc they're fast and cheap but not good.

    Terrible!. This was an employment issue. Here are my main issues:…read more1. The first conversation Simon was concerned more about telling me I need to pay him a $1500 retainer fee. 2. He said he felt confident fighting my case for me, but lacked knowledge of certain laws, only making me and himself look stupid. 3. Correspondence was one sided. I'd write a decent amount to him and I would get 1-2 word responses. 4. He never spoke to me or explained the different ways to approach my situation. Never advised me. 5. When asking me to write info for the demand letter 2x he told me to think back something like 80 days. This was after I told him that I was in my probationary period and had only been there 9 weeks. 5. I emailed him to ask if my demand letter was sent out. His response was "yes". I got sick of the short answers and said I wanted a phone call. He told me to call him "Thursday or Friday". During that call, it was determined (3 weeks after the date he said he sent the demand letter) that he actually never sent it out. He blamed this on the holidays and he had been on vacation. 6. He didn't mention any of my issues I had with what they said in my personnel file. He decided to go the disability route. So when the company got the demand letter they said they had no idea what he was talking about and that it was far from the reasons why they stated I was let go. 7. I requested a follow up from him via text asking if he heard anything from the company regarding the demand letter. I didn't hear from him for a week. I had to reach out again asking for an update. He emailed me their response within seconds. That was it, nothing else. Nothing about what we do now I had to ask him. Then his answer was "your options are we go to court or we drop your case". Wow! Really??? You don't have to have a law degree to figure that one out! 8. When I sent a text explaining my disappointment with how this was going, and asked for a refund, that's when he got a little more wordy. He said he could do a specific thing if I wanted him to. I never asked him to do that, but he did anyway. The response from the other attorney was basically saying I hadn't worked there long enough to make that type of complaint and that if he wishes to move forward with any other complaints, he'd be there waiting for them. He didn't know the laws for what he was trying to do. 9. When I told him I didn't want his services anymore and requested refund of my fees, he agreed to give me a portion back. I asked for an itemized list of what he charged me for. He gave me a very short answer and a dollar amount that wasn't even close to the retainer fee. 10. He refunded the entire amount of my retainer, then charged me the amount he didn't want to refund me. He refunded to the original form of payment, which was a credit card that I had already paid off, so I had to call the credit card company to refund me the amount of the overpayment. 11. When I asked about why he did it that way and that how I had a significant negative balance on my credit card his answer to me was "You got back $xxxx right? What else can I do to help you?" So unprofessional!! I hope this helps anyone make an informed decision when choosing an attorney.
