When she cleaned my face with the warm towel, she would put pressure on different spots to give me a gentle massage. I really enjoyed this part especially when she put light pressure on my eyes over the warm towel, it felt really good. At one point she gave me a steam treatment and at another point she extracted some of my blackheads. She also massages my upper chest, my arms and my hands. Then after she saw the purchase date, proceeded to tell my husband that the gift card was "booted" out of the system. How was it booted out of the system when you just pulled it up? So I called, the woman then told me that there is an expiration date on the paper. There was no expiration date. Then she says, oh well in the fine print, it says you can't use it after a year. When I read the fine print, it mentioned that the gift card must be valid for a year from the date of the reopening of the spa due (April 2020) to COVID-19 virus closure. My gift card was purchased in 2022 so I had no idea that applied to this. If there's a one year "policy" the person purchasing the gift card needs to be made aware. Nonetheless, this business is essentially stealing money. Someone paid this business $80, all for nothing. That is stealing, I don't care how you look at it. On top of that, I am looking for a new spa to get massages I would've loved to try this business out to see if I could make it a part of my self care routine. But I will never spend my money here. I left multiple voicemails which all went unreturned. Their website is non-existent, so no luck there. Eventually, the voicemail notified me that it was full, so I resorted to email. I sent multiple emails that also were not responded to for multiple days. I still tried to call every other day or so but was continually notified that the voicemail box was full. Eventually, I got a response apologizing for the delay but not providing me any real times or method to book an appointment. My desired time and day for an appointment was rejected by the provider, which is fine as I get that businesses like these require ironing out a mutual time that works for both the business and the customer, which I was more than happy to do, if I could just get a hold of someone who was willing to actually help me. When I provided my availability through email to find possible appointment times based on when they are open (not expressed by them through email but looking online) and I was actually available, the provider responded only once by offering one appointment time for a date outside of what I expressed my availability was. WTF!?! After multiple unreturned followup emails over a 12 day period from their last response alone, and still encountering nothing but a full voicemail I eventually gave up. I then reached out to Groupon and notified them of my horrible experience and waste of time, traded in my deal, found another provider who was INSTANTLY responsive and booked an appointment with them easily. I then sent a final email notifying Vernu that I give up, and how frustrating my experience has been, and that I plan to write this review to warn other potential customer to help save them time and money. After hitting send I got a response within 5 MINUTES! 5 MINUTES!!! The email had two lines: "Chad give me a call XXX-XXX-XXXX". Way too little, way too late!!!
