Jessica and her girls are amazing. After my appointment, I walked out feeling like a million bucks, and not just because of the price tag (but let's be real, it was worth every penny!). The owner intimidated me after my review. Her comment to the previous review is VERY misleading! Some time after my initial review, I contacted the business to request my file. I shared my bad experience with them personally. Jessica reached out to me and scheduled me for a follow where I would have an ACTUAL consultation, not just get sat down and injected with no explanation or feedback from me as to what I wanted or how I wanted my lips to look. I was excited to give them a chance to fix this (quite serious) "miscommunication". It's really interesting to me that minutes after commenting on my initial review, she emailed me CANCELLING our follow up. I explained that the review was written before reaching out to them, and... well... read the emails for yourself I do NOT recommend this place. The injector RUSHED on my lips due to a "miscommunication" (they put my appointment in INCORRECTLY for botox! Not lip filler!! Botox appointments are MUCH shorter and require less prep time than lip fillers! This time discrepancy forced my injector to rush me, my FIRST time getting injections!) resulting in my lips being botched and having a duck-like upper lip that doesn't match the volume of my bottom lip. Park Ave cosmetics has truly been one of the best experience I have ever had. I have been with them the past two years and they have done wonders with my face, body and mental health. Where do I start Jess is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I've gone to other med spas and other owners are CHECKED OUT and only there to get a check. Jess is far from this, she cares, she will talk to you, she will always make sure that she is doing what is best for you. She explains things fully and why things have to be done why they are being done. The young ladies at the front desk, should be teaching classes to the police on how to handle rude, self absorbed, "me me me" people. I have never seen young ladies handle themselves as well as they have in the two years that I have been there. Also want to mention, they are amazing with scheduling. Working with them the past two years, I have never had an issue with scheduling. I express when upcoming events are and they come up with a game plan and work with my schedule to get me ready for my special day. Heather is hands down the best injector that I have ever worked with. She took my body/ face insecurities and changed them. She has worked wonders and I get constant complements on how great I look. Wow what can I say the people here are super nice and very genuine people. I called and booked an appointment and the lady was super nice. I got a follow up call and spent an hour letting them know what I wanted. After getting some more consultation, we set up a time for me to come in. They followed instructions carefully and really listening to all my questions and answered them all. The staff was super friendly and the process was smoove. I visited Park Avenue Cosmetic Center on May 1 to go the Newtox injections. Initially, I was impressed with the quick service. What I did not like is that nobody was wearing a mask, but I had already paid my money on Groupon . The technician did put on a mask after I requested one. I was told to give it five days, which I did. I noticed wrinkles I did not even have before getting the injections. One eyebrow was higher than the other. On the side o my face where the brow is higher, there are wrinkles I did not have before I arrived there. I received injections in my lips and I clearly have visible needle holes. The crows feet nor wrinkles on my forehead did not change. The technician even commented on my beautiful skin and said hat I had few wrinkles for my age. When I called to discuss the problems, I spoke to Jessica who was very defensive. She said that I had not given it long enough. She, the receptionist, is telling me to give it 12 days, while the technician said to give it five. I do not know who to believe- the technician or the receptionist. All I know for sure is that I wasted my time and $350.00. I had these injections done because of the many meetings that I am doing virtually. This experience did nothing to improve my confidence. I have had injections before which were administered by a dermatologist in Atlanta. I was extremely pleased with the results and I received fewer injections. I learned my lesson. I stumbled upon Park Ave through a FB share about masseter injections for TMJ. Those injections worked wonders for me. My experience was truly poor and unprofessional. I had called on a Friday and was able to get a same day appointment for a facial, however, after reading some reviews, I decided to wait for a few days to reserve an appointment with Katie. This appointment was at 2 pm and after reaching the location and filling out entry paperwork, I saw a different aesthetician approach me for my appointment. I said that I had specifically requested Katie. After this, the person from the front came to speak to me and stated that "there are some stores in the neighborhood where I could kill time" and Katie was with a different client, BUT, she could get me in at 3 pm. After inquiring why this happened, she informed me that her boss moved things around. I was baffled because there was no notification made to me about any changes being made to my appointment before I drove out a long distance for my appointment. I still decided to wait. 3 pm rolled around, then 3:15, 3:30.... After checking with the front another couple of times, it was precisely 3:45 pm when Katie came and got me for my appointment. I was asked to straightaway lay down for my facial. This was also shocking because when I was making the appointment, and wasn't sure which facial I wanted to book, I was advised that there would be a consult before the facial to discuss and determine these details. Once again, I walked back out to the front where Katie said to the person at the front - in a rather condescending tone - "apparently we're supposed to have a consult right now" (while I am standing right there. As if I don't speak English?) At this point, I was livid. I decided to ask why exactly is there so much confusion? When everything was discussed in much detail at the time of making the appointment? I was given the same apology and explanation as before (my boss changed things around etc.). However, at this point, I was in no mood for any kind of service. While I had a chat with the ladies about some skin care products before leaving, it was all a little too late after this 2 hour experience. I should also add that during this chat, the ladies found out that I had a special event coming up a few days later and advised me that it would be better to avoid a facial altogether so close to the date. Something that would have never come up had we proceeded with the facial without any kind of consult. All in all, a really poor and unprofessional experience for me. This was my first visit here. The office is temporarily located in a building that looks like an apartment community; but with the directions Jessica gave me, I found it without a problem. I arrived on schedule but the nurse practitioner was still with a patient. While I waited, Jessica asked for my medical history, and then got me in to see the NP. I think her name was Lucy. I told the NP what I wanted and she made some suggestions. I took her suggestions and laid back on my chair. She was very professional, talking to me the entire time, while explaining each step she took. She was not aggressive, which I really appreciated. She knew I had to be at work 3 days later, so she took special care to minimize bruising. While some of the products she used were unfamiliar to me and and some procedures very uncomfortable, the outcome was good. I had zero bruising. I was supposed to return a few weeks later for a few more injectables, but alas, the wicked Coronavirus engulfed the country and everything was shut down. I do plan to go back as soon as I can. I like how this spa has the option within the yelp app to request and appointment directly through the yelp app, the response time was within 15 mins, this should be an industry standard for all spas. The nice lady @ the front desk made the appointment process seamless as possible. I received a facial & back facial by Katie, she was very knowledgeable on the best practices of facial care, her facial techniques were amazing and my skin felt rejuvenated, not sticky or heavy like some spas when they overload your face with products. Katie didn't try to upsell me on items I wasn't interested in or really didn't need, so I didn't feel any buyers pressure, I come to a spa to relax not to be prodded to dish out more dough, good job Katie! I've been to spas in DC, Miami, Hawaii and the Keys and this one has atleast par or better facial technology/ techniques implemented and available, definitely a sustain, kudos to the business owner. I have been with a Physio Therapist for the past 3 months, I have a tear in my shoulder which is caused of my tennis game!!! I loathe going somewhere to get pricked with needles and have procrastinated because of it. However, age does come along eventually and you have to make a decision. I researched the heck out of places and checked reviews, did social media stalking and somehow decided that Park Ave was going to be my first experience with lip filler. So glad I took the chance! The place is so clean, fresh and tastefully decorated. Everyone is so nice. I saw Heather, who is the most patient soul with someone like me, who insists on baby steps. I have never felt pressured to over do, over fill or over purchase. I've been there 3 times now and I don't regret it at all. The only negative thing I have to say is that the first time I was there they had a special of two syringes, but if you didn't use both, you could just save the other for when you needed it (baby steps, remember...). So I bought two and made an appointment for about 2 months later. At that time I was charged an additional $80 "appointment fee" that was never mentioned when I bought the syringes. I think that should have been mentioned up front for sure. I'm thinking I'm getting a great deal and then I'm slapped with another fee. However, I do keep going back because I'm comfortable with Heather and it's a great place overall! Highly recommend it. read more
