I've been a long time customer of Dr. Doberenz and was just recently transferred as a patient to Dr. Morgan. I had always been happy with Kristi's work and wonderful attitude so I was a bit apprehensive about trying out a new doctor. All I can say is WOW! Dr. Morgan helped me feel right at home and I instantly felt at ease. I am not sure if Morgan and Kristi hang out outside of work but they even have similar laughs which probably helps (ha!). During my visit, Dr. Morgan found some additional cavities that Dr. Doberenz missed. Her team was able to work with my hectic schedule and fit me in very quickly. All of the apprehension that I was feeling before had melted away by the time I left. I feel 100% comfortable with Dr. Morgan--she is a wonderful doctor and does excellent work. The dental hygienist that worked with me was also new but she was super sweet as well. I double checked my teeth after my cleaning and was really happy! Bonus. Lastly (and very importantly), Dr. Morgan's billing team did a great job of explaining my costs and recommended that I wait until the new year to perform a few of my fillings. This saved me a ton of money as my coverage had run out for the year (she showed me on the monitor that the cavities could, indeed, wait that long). This is the kind of due diligence that I love to see at a dentist--it really provides peace of mind. Thanks for rocking my socks and being awesome Dr. Morgan! I recently moved to the area and had to leave my old dentist that I had been seeing for years and sadly had to find a new dentist. I was happy to find Dr. Doberenz through a friend's recommendation. As far as dentist appointments go, I found my visit with Dr. Doberenz to be pleasant and efficient. I showed up early for my appointment and I was seen right away. Dr. Doberenz was very sweet and attentive. She found a small cavity from my X-Rays that my previous dentist had missed. Nelly, the dental hygienist, was very thorough. When I went back for my cavity filling, I again did not have to wait at all and I was in and out in 30 minutes. The office is clean and simple and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. My previous dentist's office had separate rooms for each exam so I found it odd that all the exam chairs here are out in the open in one big exam room so you feel as though your appointment is being broadcasted throughout the office. Even though dental information may be less private for some people, I still found it uncomfortable to be eavesdropping on everyone's exams. Overall, I found my experience to be positive and I will be coming back for my regular check ups. read more

I am very disappointed by Dr. Doberenz. Her Assistant put in a new front bridge for me. I looked like a goat - the teeth were very forward! Not only that, during the placement of the bridge, she filed down the anchor teeth so much that the bridge began falling out repeatedly. I returned three times to Dr. Doberenz's office to have the bridge put back in. She charged me $100 each time. The last time, the anchor teeth that had been drilled would no longer support the bridge. Dr. Doberenz took no responsibility for what her assistant had done. A new 4-piece bridge was no longer viable, as the two anchor teeth were too small. I left her office in tears. The bridge fell out again shortly thereafter. When I called for an appointment to try to re-cement it, I was told I was no longer a patient. Within a few days, I received a letter advising me that Dr. Doberenz would not see me and that I was no longer a patient. I am so sad that I did not take legal action. I suffer from Chronic Fatigue and it was more than I could manage. My teeth remain a serious and unresolved problem. BEWARE -- Dr. Doberenz is nice -- until her office makes a mistake. Dr. Doberenz is a very good dentist. Aside from that, however, she's a very conscious person to the patient. What I mean is she's present. She takes the time to know you and your situation and addresses you. In today's society, I expect people to treat each other like the airplane stewardess; "Thank you, have a good day" type mentality. Dr. Doberenz is present and not a drone. I appreciate that quality. Oh, and of course, her professional skills as a dentist are top notch. That's a given. If they weren't, I would go elsewhere. read more

Dr Doberenz is a great Dentist. She has a very nice staff and the office is always neat & clean. As one reviewer said they don't try to up-sell but will recommend when & if necessary. The Hygientist is great with very skilled hands. I feel very comfortable going to there office. I feel at ease with them and feel that they know what they are doing and they try very hard to please you. Parking is always easy.I feel so lucky to have them close by. read more

There needs to be zero stars for this one. So glad to read the other posts as it validates our experience with this shoddy/unethical dentist. She always tried to SELL unnecessary procedures and actually got mad at the patient because work she did kept failing! Then charged every time for the failed work to be redone. Will never go back to this dentist again. My daughter had a baby tooth filled & the filling keep falling out (3 times). Got charged every time to replace the filling. I guess her work is not guaranteed? Also took x-rays everytime I went in there. Insurance did not cover. Had to pay out of pocket. New person at the front desk every time we went in. read more

I have had many problems with billing at this dentist. They have told me that I am covered by my insurance when they knew they were out of network. When I pointed this out they said that they are "covered" but only at 20%. Thanks for telling me. And just recently they sent me a bill because they billed the wrong insurance. As another poster said they are very very x-ray happy, they are also happy to not tell you that you are not covered and have you pay out of pocket. The dental work is fine but the customer service and, I feel, dishonest business practices has made me decide to never use this office again. read more

Misleading & dishonest receptionist. When I made the appointment she told me they were preferred providers for my insurance. Turns out this isn't true... Billed me for my visit and when I questioned the bill she said it was my fault for not checking with my insurance. Yes I should have double checked with my insurance but she also lied to me on the phone... Now I'm stuck with a bill that my insurance won't pay... I won't be back and want to warn others to be careful when dealing with this dental office. read more

Let me start off by saying that Kristi Doberenz is great! I went to her to get my teeth cleaned and had great customer service at that time, however what happened after that led me to leave this review. I originally got my x-rays done at Concord dental and had them emailed to this dental office. I was suppose to receive a follow up after they received my x-rays, but I never did. I was busy and did not follow up with them and was surprised I didn't hear back. After 1 1/2 months or so, I gave them a call and spoke with Darcy. She said they never received anything from me and was looking through their email. Then she said, "Oh here it is! We found it in our spam mail." This didn't really bother me, but thought I would mention it. Then I was waiting for approval for some work from the insurance company. Darcy left me a message regarding the work. I called her back and told her I didn't know I would have to pay so much. I asked her if they can waive my portion or break up the cost. Darcy started to raise her voice and give me an attitude. She seemed frustrated and impatient with me. She said "Well that is why we find out in advance about the charges, so there's no surprises. So do you want the work done or not? You seemed like you were in a rush to get the work done." I don't care if she was having a bad day or not, but excuse me! Your in the customer service field and if you can't be friendlier then you should start looking into another field of work! I decided to go back to Concord dental after this incident and didn't call them back. All patient's deserve respect! read more

I've had many dentists over the years and have a close relative that has been one for many years so I believe I have a reasonably decent pool to compare. Dr. Doberenz ranks in the top tier of dentists. She explains the procedure ahead of time and then provides details as she is doing the procedure. Her work is exceptional and there is no pressure of unnecessary work. Finally, no pain. I would recommend her hands down. read more

Without getting too into it, I was visiting from out of town for the weekend and needed a dentist ASAP! I came in to the office and was greeted right away. I was seen by Dr. Dare, who was absolutely amazing! I've been to other dentists in the past and have to admit, his services and expertise really blew others out of the water. He's very thorough in his work and always kept me in the loop as to what he was doing and why. As mentioned, I'm not a local, but hands down, Dr. Dare is just an all around awesome guy and I had a great experience! Dr. Dare is one who cares! read more

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Doberenz for over 22 years. I actually look forward to my appointments because it feels more like a friendly visit. Everyone is professional without being stuffy or arrogant. The staff are always up to date on training on the latest equipment which not only provides practical application to modern dentistry, but makes every procedure more tolerable and less invasive for the patient. I went to Dr. Kristi my entire life growing up. Her and her staff are all very pleasant and kind. She does a great job distracting kids so we don't know what's really going on. The reason I have to give her 1 star is unfortunately all the fillings (about 13-15) she did for me were done wrong. I moved to LA for college and found a top of the line dentist. He showed me on my x-ray that I had decay underneath ALL my fillings! He said this only happens if the filling is not cleaned out completely or not sealed correctly. He wasn't trying to sell me to get them re-done and this wasn't a push for him to make more money. I could see exactly what he was talking about. Two (3 hour) appointments later he re-did 13 of my fillings. I have never had an issue with them since. I was lucky enough to have great dental coverage through my family and work, otherwise I would've spent close to $5,000 re-doing all the bad work Dr. Kristi did on my teeth. read more

I've been using her for 14+ years and haven't had any complaints. Almost all her services have been covered by my insurance (Delta Dental). The hygienists have been friendly and professional and I haven't had any problems with the dental work. read more
