I go to the store or at this location only several times a week. If not, seven days a week to buy fruit cut up one week the cantaloupe tasted like mole I've come back. I waited a week before purchasing anymore and then I got fruit. I took it back and spoke to the gentleman at the counter explained to him what's been going on that I've had several situations with the fruit being that unhealthy tonight I'm going there all the cantaloupe and different platters are all rotten bad no good and I speaking with the guy working and he pretty much brushed it off kind of disregarded it. Having lived in the Northeast US, I'd never had a chance to shop at a Kroger. Even "worse," because my parents met working at a different former large grocery store chain, Kroger was "the enemy." I was interested in seeing what Kroger had to offer when local friends brought me to this one - I get the feeling this is an older store and not one of their better ones. The floor throughout the entire store is very worn, and layout and displays seemed somewhat basic. It reminds me most of the Market Basket chain in New England (which is not a bad thing) in terms of what specialty items they offer and how they present them. Prices were a bit inconsistent. There were, as you would expect, some good loss-leader deals, but many other items seemed above average in price. The wine aisle had some good deals though. It feels like the only reason to shop here regularly would be out of convenience. I have no idea if Kroger is doing renovations to its stores, but it feels like this one would benefit from one. read more

I went to this Kroger and bought some items from their discount section, including a bottle of salad dressing. Then in their refrigerator section, I grabbed Mac & cheeses, also on sale. Then when I got home, I noticed that the dressing was expired by SIX MONTHS. So I thought I'd check the Mac & cheese. The sale stickers were placed over the expiration dates but I got them off and sure enough, those were expired too. I brought them back to the store, waited in line for 15 minutes because they had one lady at the service counter and everyone in front of me was getting money orders. When it was finally my turn, I told her these items are expired. No apology, nothing. She just have me my money back and asked me if I wanted the original receipt. I won't be going back there. It's very sneaky putting the sale stickers over the expiration dates and selling expired food is plain wrong and disgusting. What if someone gets sick? read more

Well, I didn't want to come here and now I know why. I have a nice grocery store that's closer to where I live, but I was asked to come here for stuff in order to rack up gas points on the Kroger card. Fine. So, I go here, and right off the bat the parking lot is a bit confusing. It has angled parking spots. I thought maybe it was one-way aisles, which I've seen before, but they're not. When you drive down an isle, you can only park off to one side, because the other side has parking spots angled the opposite way for people coming in that direction. It's insane. Walking up to the place there are 2 sliding doors. Neither are labeled so I go in the left one. Which of course was the exit so that was a little weird. Carts were there at least, but they only have the old school really large ones. I only ever need the smaller ones because who needs all that Count Chocula anyway? Also, no one is sanitizing these carts and I didn't see any supplies to do this myself. I walk in and get my bearings and notice it's a little crowded up front. Space is tight so it's a little unnerving. I also notice my mask smells weird - it smells bad. I turn to the right and there's a homeless gentleman standing there with a cart full of who knows what. Well, that was the source of the stench I guess. I go to the produce which is fine - some good stuff there but still - it's an older store so space can be tight. Aisles in the back are weird - there's a small section of short isles followed by longer ones. They have everything you'll need but it sure seems like stuff is in weird spots. There was a section for baking mixes, but then in another isle are pancake mixes, which were also back in baking, I think. It was weird. There's another weird alcove spot up front where the greeting cards are. The whole store feels weird and creepy - I just don't like it. I love Kroger but this one gave me the heeby jeebys. The next time she sends me out to Kroger I will go out of my way to get to another one. read more

This staff is too lazy to keep the doors open until their closing time. They close at 1 AM and I showed up at 12:27 and they wouldn't let me in. It cannot be hard to do your job correctly at a small grocery store. read more

I don't know how I've continued to visit this location. They're not inexpensive. The employees are too busy trying to entertain each other than ensuring good customer service. It seems like the shadiest of characters are fully attracted to this location. Avoid if possible or make your visit short and sweet. read more

Apparently RHONDA, one of the employees there woke up on the wrong side of the bed on Mother's Day. Mad because customers were asking for assistance with purchasing flowers for their mothers. As she stated, "you see we're trying to work." And helping customers is a part of your job, homegirl. Horrible, nasty attitude & very unnecessary - there's absolutely no reason why she should be on the floor again EVER. Justin, the manager was no help. I guess he thought I was joking when I told him about the incident since he had a smirk on his face. The store is a joke. The most raggedy, unkempt, unsanitary store in the area. Spoke with a manager awhile back about products on the shelves that had expired MONTHS ago. But since nothing is taken seriously at this store, let's see what corporate thinks! read more

I hate that this the closest Kroger's to me. The lines are always long, all the employees move slow. My fruit is never fresh and I bought hot dog buns on Thursday that said sell by 4 days and I opened them for the first time before the sell by date and the buns were already molded. read more

I only go to this store when I need to pick up something quickly and I still find I have to spend at least 5 minutes in the checkout line. I used to go to this store every week for my grocery needs when I first moved into the area. I usually left in a bad mood due to the crowded aisles, lack of fresh produce, and lack of checkout lines available. The staff is generally friendly but this store is really going downhill. It lacks any sort of consistency. Almost every time I go they will be out of stock in something I need and a majority of the time shopping carts line the parking lot and employees don't seem to mind. The other day I went in simply for a stick of butter and bag of cheese and waited over 5 minutes in the self check out line because the store was so crowded and there were not enough employees staffing the registers. I like going to a lot of Kroger stores but this one is not a winner in my opinion. I will stick with the Tom Thumb store no more than a mile away. read more

I have no large complaints against this Kroger except that it's not my first choice when going grocery shopping. I typically only go here when I need to grab one or two things quickly, otherwise I go just a few minutes down the road to Tom Thumb. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful every time I have visited. They have some great manager's sales that I have seen as high as 50% off. read more

I don't get the negative reviews. I love this Kroger. The employees are very polite. Each employee will acknowledge you, not ignore the fact you're there. The pharmacist, Tony Nguyen, actually helped me find a cough suppressant for my exact symptoms so I want wasting my money on something that wasn't going to work. I just like the fact he stopped what he was doing to assist me and wished me well. Another great thing about Kroger is their reward card with fuel points. I use my dad's card and my mom loves the points I accumulate since I only grocery shop here. Plus, gift cards double your points. With the points, you can get up to one dollar off a gallon. Even though this kroger is right next to my house, I will not come back again. I'm new to the area and decided to go to this kroger. The store seems to be an older store... I went to the deli and the deli person just looked at me while she was doing other things. This was so awkward!!! I had to initiate the conversation "hello". I love Kroger, With that said, not this one. I only go to this store when don't feel like driving to Lamar which isn't that big of a deal but 3 days a week I drive right past this one. If I need produce I never go here, their produce is awful. This store is so unkept I'm not sure why there are older stores in the Metroplex but this one is in dire needs of an update and fresher items. Maybe it's the shoppers but the neighborhood isn't bad, but you would think it is based on that store. I've never had a bad experience with customer service but I don't go there much and I can't say I will in the future. They are definitely improving their quality of products. Service is still their best asset and now if they can continue to enhance their produce, deli, and meet departments the store can truly grow. I've been going to this kroger basically once a week for two years now to do my grocery shopping . Although it's not my first kroger choice, it is right across the street from where I love so it's very convenient . I have no complaints on the store nor the staff. Money office closes at 8pm. So make sure if you use the coinstar that the money is not over 100$ because they cant pay out your money from the register if its over 100$. I found this out while i was on my way to the airport and changed my cash out. They refused to cash out my money. And there was no notice on or anywhere near the coinstar machine that states that they cant pay you if the money center is shut and the total amount is over 100$. This location always seems pretty clean and tidy to me. All sales items are usually very well stocked. People seem pretty friendly. I work by this location, so Im always stoping in for work food, or to visit the bank inside. It's your typical Krogers though, so nothing super special to review about. read more

To say that this place is really not that big, the parking is not great. There are always people here. The produce is hit or miss, but I typically catch it on a decent day. I love the growth of organic items in the chain. The customer service here is also hit or miss at this store. Early on, there was a guy in the deli department that was very rude to me. Everyone is entitled to bad days, but when you're in the customer service business, you need to show face at all times period point blank! I asked this guy a question and he raised his voice at me, ignored my question and asked what did I need....*blank stare, long blinks*...uhm, for you answer my flipping question buddy! Needless to say, I walked off from him. I don't know who he thought I was, but I am not the one to be yelled at by some stranger! Boy bye! Then there was yesterday in seafood. I stood there almost five minutes watching this guy rinse off whatever he rinsing at the sink before he turned to acknowledge me. Let me note, he was standing sideways. Unless he has peripheral vision issues, then I should have been greeted and at least told he would be right with me. He walks up and asks did I need something....*blank stare, long blinks*....no I just like to stare at seafood. SMH. Customer service university could be used for these guys. I've never had an issue with this location. I don't understand the bad reviews? When I go the staff is nice and helpful. The management is nice and welcomes you. There is a lady named Tiffiani that is the best when it comes to service. She always says hello ask how your day is going and knows where things are if you need help!
