This is the closest "good" Kroger to my house. It's a Signature store, so the deli is stocked with those $9.99/lb Boar's Head brand meats, and they have a mega cheese section nearby. The produce always looks incredible. They don't have much in the way of baby foods, snacks, formula, etc however. read more

One of my favorite Kroger locations! The setup, cleanliness, helpful nature of the staff makes me want to bypass four other Kroger locations nearby and drive to this location instead. The setup reminds me of Whole Foods. They have a sushi bar, fresh bakery, and a lot of hard to find brands. read more

Terrible grocery store. Even before the snow and ice hit, this place always looks like a disaster zone. Not once, have I seen an employee smile. Everyone always looks tired and sad, and that reflects how the store looks when I come here. No one cares anymore. My last purchase was for a simple Snickers bar just to leave a review for their corporate survey. Doubt that'll fix anything, but hopefully someone higher up notices the conditions of this place. This used to be a great store. I'll give it six months before coming back, hopefully Kroger gets its act together by then. read more

This Kroger is nice and well-kept. The floors are always clean and items I need are always in stock. The team members working here are also kind, one of them happens to be the same guy who works at my cleaners! lol The produce section is organized and has fresh fruits and vegetables that are not "needing attention." That says a lot about a grocery store... their produce section. The meat and deli are also kept in the same manner. I think the middle of the store is where you'll find most of the boxed/packaged items but there is a larger variety than say Tom Thumb or Neighborhood Walmart. Went to kroger with my four year old and the older gentleman that was watching the self check out was extremely rude and unprofessional. He at first told me that I didn't scan all my items and I told him that I had and he said that the pizza rolls that purchased I didn't scan. I scrolled up to the top and showed him that I had. He told me that I needed to rescan them. Made me very upset. And to make matters worse my daughter was sitting in the cart part he told me that I couldn't have her in there and that I needed to put her in the part where you strap her in. Called and complained to a manager about it and the manager told me that she has to be strapped in. And that if something happens to her, or if she falls out it neglect on my part and that if something happens to her they will call the cops and call child protective services. Maybe you should fix your carts to where they can sit and be strapped in. Half of the carts don't have the blue seats where we are supposed to strap them in. And what gives them them right to say I'm neglecting my child. read more

Like all Kroger's, this customer service is terrible! No smiles, no "how are you doing", or the simple " do you have a Kroger card?" The only thing that keeps me coming back is the slightly lower prices compared to Tom Thumb or Albertson's. Prices are similar to Wal-Mart. I'm pretty well a convert to the "prices usually cheaper without a stupid card" Walmart grocery stores, but this Kroger, maybe because it's a "Signature" store, has some stuff specifically that I go in for. First of all, it's a nice Kroger, always pretty clean, go in during daytime hours and it's pretty easy to find someone to help you if needed. This store has a nice selection of different items in the deli and bakery as well. But let's get down to business here, I go in because in all my lunch meat travels, I've found Boars Head to be pretty well the best stuff out there, and Kroger Deli is the only place I know that sells it. I get pretty tired of local options to eat lunch, so for a good while now I've been just putting together a sandwich at work. After being overly depressed at the sad offerings at the Thumb and Walmart, I wandered in here one day to see what they had. This Kroger, anyway, carries a huge selection of Boars Head. I had no idea there was so many ways you could pimp out a turkey, holy white meat! Oh yea, not to mention the chicken, ham, roast beef, and they even got different bologna and other stuff. The stuff is good, and there's so many choices you would be hard pressed to get bored with what's available. Good news, Boars Head is some good stuff, and Kroger carries a TON of it. Bad news...oh crud, it's Kroger, AND it's Boars Head, so it ain't cheap! Average price seems to be about $9-10 a pound. I suck it up, and get what I need to get me through the week, but the idea here is, I don't get bored after eating it once, I buy enough for several sandwiches, and it's worth it. Also, Kroger has a pretty good bakery, although I found out they "import" some of the stuff in from some place that's doing all the baking apparently. Bad news is they quit bringing in something I was buying, but not a big deal since for work I occasionally have to drive somewhere, and there's a Kroger in Bedford who still brings it in. I'm sorry folks, but while this Kroger is nice, prices can be a good bit higher than same brand elsewhere, even with the STUPID CARD. But it's nice and quick (with the self checkout anyway) and it's a great place to pick up a few items, but if I need major groceries, I go slug it out somewhere else. read more

I was in the store yesterday to pick up some veggies for dinner. When I got to the department, I saw that the man stocking the lettuce, broccoli, and other veggies. Not only was his face mask being worn below his mouth (covering nothing but his beard), he was regularly wiping his runny nose with his hand, and then hand stacking the veggies, touching each and every one of them with the same snot-covered hand. He never stopped to wash them or even wipe them off. It was so disgusting, that I turned around and walked out the door. I'd rather pay a little more at Tom Thumb or Albertsons for food that is safe and NOT snot-covered. Managers, this was a big white guy with a full black beard, working the wet rack. Either train him better or get his butt out of Kroger. read more

I have been shopping at this location for about two years and I love it. The store is almost always clean and well-stocked. The staff is almost always super-friendly and they have some of the fastest checkers I've ever seen. I notice many of them know the people they help which I think is great. Is the store perfect? No, but is any store perfect? Nope. On occasion it seems as if they aren't staffed enough at checkout but that is a rare occurrence. read more

I noticed many of the better reviews are dated. I have seen this location recline an ever increasing rate over the last 2 years. I took away one star for parking. There are always more cars in the parking lot than customers in the store. Controlling people who use you lot as a park and ride can be difficult, but even as a customer I notice may if the same cars there day after day, more than can be attributed to your employees. Also I see employees leaving or getting into their cats that are parked close to the store entrances. I took away another star for the rapidly increasing number of "Temporarily Unavailable" signs or just plain empty spots on the shelves. Another star was taken away for empty shelves for the weekly sales items, even on the first morning of the announced sales. The fourth star was taken away due to the quality of the produce. Your current ads highlight your new lower produce prices. When you factor in all of the waste for moldy, limp, and overripe produce it really is not cheaper than your competitors. Your planning expansion to all Super Kroger, you should focus on the decline of your current operations before you lose so many loyal customers that an expansion won't be warranted. read more

Arguably, the worst of Kroger options. 1. Unfriendly, zero empathy staff at the pharmacy. 2. Turned much needed parking spaces into curbside, which sit empty 90%of the time, shows lack of appreciation for those of spending our time and energy to shop in store. 3. Flies in produce section 4. At 8 pm I drove from Fort Worth to pick up keto items for my diet. The only bacon bits were nasty Kroger brand turkey. 7 empty slots not one option. Went to the lunch meat hot dog area. Empty spaces for both the Earl Campbell hot links and the Holmes sausage I drove over for...next stop yogurt. I grabbed 10 Carbmaster yogurts, 4 had blobs of some other yogurt on the containers which was gross. I grabbed soft drinks for the office, my mom in assisted living next door and myself. 5 plus people in lines manned by checkers and the self check nearest my car was closed, as were the doors nearest my car. Waited thru line in self check had to hoist multiple cases of soft drinks myself(I'm over 60) over scanner due to long lines in lanes (a whopping total of two lanes) that had checkers. It's like this every time. Elder parent in assisted living next door makes the location handy, but never a pleasant experience read more

Here to help. I managed your stores in the 80's. Now I manage Liquor stores. Today I spent over 1000. In your stores buying soda pops. Lamar in Arlington has a problem with big buys on your soda sales. They don't want to sell to one person, a large, very large sell of soda specials to one person. Just letting you know you have stupid management at Lamar Cooper Arlington. Brick and mortar is doomed because of management at this location. No problem, I can buy elsewhere. read more

I like the fact that this Kroger Signature has a gas station at it. It is your typical Kroger Signature, lots to choose from. I do like that the bakery has fresh items daily, the produce is always fresh and the store is generally clean. I mean it shows the usual wear and tear from a day's traffic. The produce here is much better than what is at the local Walmart and Tom Thumb. I recommend checking out this Kroger. read more

I just returned from Shopping at the Kroger on Lamar in Arlington. I love that store have shopped there for years, people have always been friendly especially in the self checkout. The Lady there has always been helpful and just a wonderful person. But today, was awful. I shop for 2 people and I like to bag accordingly, with the new self check outs there is not enough room to do that so I have to put everything in my cart and press Skip Bagging, There was a man and a young lady handling the checkouts. When I asked him for help, I had pressed pay now rather than skip bagging, he said You have to call me, I am busy working with others and I do not know you are having a problem, Loud enough for everyone there to hear. I hated to have to ask them when it happened again. They were so rude. I realize the self checkout is now only for people with a few things. But since I shop for more than one person, I prefer to check out myself and get everything separated. Most of The nice people are gone, hopefully I can find another store that the people are friendly and I can self checkout. I went this morning to do some shopping on my way to work. Checked the website before leaving. Says they are open 24 hours. I arrive at 6:40am and the entrances are all blocked. An employee tells me they don't open until 7am. I wish the website was correct. I also agree with another reviewer regarding blocked entrances. I work early so I often shop at 7am or earlier. Seems like they keep changing which entrance is going to be accessible. read more

I have shopped at this Kroger for many years. The service has been hit or miss. The deli and meat department have always been awesome. Today, took the cake! I had an employee laugh at me when I said hello to the bagger. When I looked at her she continued to laugh. I let the manager know, and the cashier told him she was laughing at Minions. This location always over promises and never delivers anything. Always out of product in the bakery department. Go out of my way and come here to find the shelves empty with no product. Ask the bakery person when they will be getting more product. Can't be bothered to actually look at me. Says "tomorrow" and that's it. Again go out of my way, Come back the next day and no product. Maybe the truck did get there the time of day I went and decided To go back this morning and still no product. I'd rather go to Walmart for my shopping needs. Going forward. I frequent Kroger on Lamar weekly since we moved to the area. In my trips there I have had 4 separate occasions where I have seen health code violations happen right in front of me. I have spoken with the managers but after last night I want to make others aware. 1st: Watched 2 women in the Bakery with gloves on, texting on their phones, put the phones down and continue handling food. 2nd: a women from the deli walked up from I don't even know where with gloves on, used the touch screen the customers use to order their meat and cheese, walked around the counter and ask me what I want. (Thinking surely she will change her gloves) nope, started taking the meat out and I had to ask her to change her gloves after touching a public screen. She looked at me like I had just rode in on a unicorn or something. ****This is when I talk to the managers bring it to their attention. They assure me this will not happen again...**** 3rd: bakery ladies texting and making tortillas never changing gloves- took a picture of her. 4th and last straw was last night. Went to give the deli a shot again...I watched as the employees opened the fridge with the gloves on, touched the computer with the gloves on, and the same woman as last time picked up the phone, dialed and came back and started handling food and adjusting the machines with the same gloves on. I have called the Arlington health department, but please watch and ask them to change their gloves before handling your food. The only reason this place has 1 star is because Gwen in the office. I finally press 1 for bakery and someone answers the phone and after I ask she says she has no idea (as if appalled by the question) and will transfer me to the service desk. I catch her and say that no one has been answering that phone. She asks someone in the background and then blurts that they don't have one before rudely hanging up. I like this kroger, I actually shop there often however the pharmacy is horrible! I filled my daughters medication there yesterday and counted the pills when I got home there was supposed to be 30 she had 27 so I left a message. Well they called back this morning stated they double counted and I was a liar even though I counted thrm 3x and my husband counted them 2x. The medication she is on she can not miss a dose and they refuse to fix there mistakes litterally stating "owell theirs nothing I can do about it"!!! Really!!! The customer service is absolutely horrible!! Theyve have employees stealing a little girls prescriptions! I will NEVER use this kroger again. read more

3 Years ago this Kroger was amazing, in the past few years the quality of the employees has reduced. Almost every time I'm in this store there is an aisle blocked because they are stocking the shelves, the only problem I have with this is that they do it during peak shopping times and it causes traffic. Other stores that I go to I hardly ever see people stocking the shelves during these times. I have also come to this store multiple times and they are completely out of some items which was frustrating because I have come to the store for a specific item and they didn't have it; it was a complete waste of a trip. This Kroger is huge and I expected them to have all the regular items in stock (like cilantro). I have also had some bad experiences at the deli counter. One time I went up asking for 1/4 lb of deli meat and the woman seemed to have understood me, but she ended up giving me 1lb. I can't eat the entire pound so I politely asked for her to correct her mistake and she gave me a big attitude and rolled her eyes. Another time the lady at the deli counter asked me what I wanted, and then she saw people she knew and started holding a conversation with them when I was trying to give her my order. I had to wait for her to finish her conversation before she assisted me, I then repeated my order a couple more times and it seemed like she didn't understand me. I thought it was really rude that she interrupted me saying my order to talk to her friend (the conversation was couple of minutes; it wasn't a brief hello). The people at this Kroger are not as nice as the people at my home town Kroger. Don't get me wrong, there are some really nice employees here but in the past year the quality of the store has gone down. read more

This store has good stock, which is why I go out of my way to go there. However, the vendors who are unpacking their goods, especially in the wine section , and some others, don't realize they need to accommodate shoppers. They joke around and fill the whole aisle and seem irritated if you need to get something that they are blocking. At 10:15 this morning, there were numerous self check outs open and one express lane open, and only 1 regular lane open. I usually do self check, but today I had a lot of stuff and I wanted assistance so I had to get in the one open lane. The lady in front of me had over $200.00 in two carts, so I had to wait through all that. That's absurd for a large store and everyone behind me was complaining that we need to just go to Tom Thumb. There was another woman, named something that sounded like Kashay who was open, but didn't have her light on, so everyone thought she was closed. A store employee later told me that she only turned the light on when she wanted to and the manager had reprimanded her for that, and she was sullen and not looking at anyone. I like the food here, but I don't need to go out of my way to experience that. The neighborhood stores are depressing, disgusting, and carry limited products. Kroger should be ashamed to have their name on those. read more

This is such a nice store! I should probably come here more often. I was really impressed with the amount of fresh/prepared/I-don't-what-to-call-it food they have near the bakery section of the store. From sushi to bakery items and the like to the olive bar and extensive cheese selection, the amount of different things to choose from was quite surprising. They also have tons of wine and always a great selection of craft beer! read more

**KROGER PHARMACY REVIEW at this location** It's such a shame to have to use a 1 star rating for this pharmacy. I really tried to give this pharmacy a chance because I absolutely love the store. I have been going to this pharmacy since moving here. Both the husband and daughter moved quickly to CVS or Walgreens after one or two visits here but I was putting up with them due to the fact that it is so convenient to do my grocery shopping while waiting on an Rx. I have been over charged ($45) to be asked to come back and speak to the manager only to be offered fuel points (I don't pump at Kroger). They have entered Rx coupons incorrectly making them void. The list goes on but one thing they absolutely NEVER fail at is everyones shitty nasty bitchy attitudes!!!! I think you have to have one to be hired there. From the pharmacist to the staff. There is not one individual there who does not roll their eyes or respond with an "I hate this world and my job annoys me" tone to their voice. Everyone else that works at that Kroger is super kind and helping. I've had wonderful exchanges with Kroger staff OUTSIDE of that pharmacy. read more

I have shopped at this Kroger store for years. In the past few months, it seems like many items are out of stock. This store needs to do a better job of planning orders and deliveries. The response I often receive when asking about items is, "We should have a truck in tomorrow." This is not good enough. I am very busy and do not have the time to return in most cases. read more

I recently shopped at Kroger for peaches in the produce department and spotted a syringe in the tray the peaches were sold in. It may have been accidently left there by a diabetic or someone else. In any case I don't by my peaches at Kroger anymore. read more
