The existing reviews are pretty spot on for the store part of this location, and while my experiences with service and stocking are the same, I tossed the second star for the Kroger Fuel Center and the attendant here. The gas is excellently priced for the area and the attendant was helpful and friendly. Sadly that is the only positive from our trips here. This is our second visit to this location, as I usually swing through to grab gas and anything we need on the way from antiquing in downtown Columbia. This latest visit was for a few items to prepare dinner with and we walked in and out the same way...empty handed. We swung through the meat to get some chicken and the few packages they had were discolored. Then we needed cream, completely empty fridges. And lastly we wanted some rice...again, nothing. We asked an Associate in the meat section if they had any other chicken prepared and coming out. He acted offended and said "nah" then walked away. Our first visit also produced a questionable associate interaction as the cashier was borderline rude and not what I would call "friendly". Overall, really disappointed in this Kroger location. Next time we roll through Columbia, we will keep our stop to the fuel center only. read more

I am not normally someone who writes a review as large corporation like Kroger tend to lack in any kind of customer service.... but you would think when you are buying premium steaks from the counter section... not the pre-packaged steaks that they would not be rancid after being stored in my fridge for 3 days. This is the second time I have purchased meat from Columbia Kroger's and both times I have had to throw away $80.00 worth of meat. In addition, the produce that was purchased started to mold within days as well. I guess I will be driving to Franklin Sprouts from now on as our local Kroger is abysmal! Sad as this was never an issue when I lived in Michigan, the Kroger's there were always fresh! read more

Service in the is absolutely pathetic. If you want deli meat sliced, you'd be better off purchasing an animal and slaughtering it yourself.

Do Not Place A Food Order For An Event at the Kroger on Nashville Hwy. in Columbia, TN. They always claim they never received it even when you give them the order number. I also had a copy of the order. We ordered baked chicken for a Sunday event and if it wasn't for the local KFC, we would have had nothing but sides for dinner. Can't trust them when it comes to ordering for a large dinner. Lesson Learned. Never Again! read more

This store. [*shakes head*] Usually a person can visit a store and come away without one or even two items and not think much of it. Yes, it's annoying, but you get over it. But this store? I'll say this for them: They're reliable. Reliably OUT of something every time you shop. EVERY TIME. And you'll have to wait in a long line at one of only two or three open checkouts (one being the "about 15 items" line), unless you'd rather try to cram your shopping through the self checkout and have the machine yell at you every other item. If this place weren't so close to my house, I wouldn't darken their door. At least they fired the one manager who called me back and berated me for 15-20 minutes after I complained about their stocking issues on the receipt survey. It was surreal -- he had the nerve to defend himself and attempt to explain how store stocking worked, in addition to trying to make me feel guilty for getting him in trouble! I'm not sure why this company is sleeping where this store is concerned, but they won't last long once the Publix comes in just north of them. This grocery store is a sad disgrace. First of all, do not buy anything from the dairy section without checking expiration dates. I have regularly gotten home to find things not just close to the end date but sometimes as much as 2 weeks expired. Secondly, they are constantly out of stock of everything from canned drinks and soups to spices and even bread and cheese. This store is crowded, understaffed, poorly stocked, terribly managed and overall quite a disappointment. ...I have had many positive experiences at this location, but the folks who staff the deli section seem to be in a perpetual state of anger directed towards the customer...I had a member of this particular staff 'holler or scream' at me today when I attempted to make a a purchase...I simply walked away and will make future deli purchases elsewhere...I'm not sure of the 'what or why' the deli staff are perpetually angry at the customers, but the managers might want to do a deep dive to root cause the 'anger and frustration' before something ugly happens... read more

The store has many problems one is the people that work there do not do a very good job and keeping things in stocked but the chances are if you go to the store and shop you might get everything or almost everything you need however ordering online is a real pain in the ass half the time you don't get what you need and if you're planning a meal don't plan on getting everything because you won't They like to blame the out of stocks on Covid but This was happening long before that I'm sure that there having additional problem, but trying to order online has many problems if you try to order the Digital coupons there out half the time on those items so if you're ordering were you have to buy five items to get the dollar off most likely you're not gonna get the dollar off because they don't have all five items the other is when you order soda these days for four for 12 or three for 11 there are certain products that aren't included in that these days which they were before which makes it a real headache trying to figure out which ones are included and which ones aren't then you order on their ads on the weekly newspaper ad online and you try to add those in half of them will come up and half of them won't I have repeatedly called their corporate office and complained about all these things they don't seem to care they'll push you another dollar or two to get you to quit bitching at them they say they're going to fix things and never do and I'm really tired they are just some things that they offer that are pretty cheap there I will go there for those but I'm gonna find another store to buy my main stuff good luck the way you're going you're going to be in business long hope thinks go better for you read more

I ordered groceries on the Kroger app on 12/07/2020, for delivery via Instacart. I have done this MANY times during the pandemic and before. However, on this date, the Instacart shopper, Susan R, said she delivered the groceries to the wrong house, although her story changed a couple of times. Whatever happened, I never received any groceries!! I immediately called the local Kroger and was told I should contact Instacart, which I did...NO HELP AT ALL! I called the Kroger Customer Service line and was told it would be TEN BUSINESS DAYS until I would receive a refund! I was, to be fully transparent, given a $30 credit for in-store purchases from Kroger "for my inconvenience". So, I impatiently waited 10 business days. On 12/28/2020, I again called Kroger CS and was told that although the refund was requested, it WAS NEVER SUBMITTED! Therefore, it will be an ADDITIONAL TEN BUSINESS DAYS UNTIL I RECEIVE MY REFUND!! Now, luckily, I am in a financial position to be able to weather this incident. But, there are MANY folks not as fortunate, especially this time of year! I am very disappointed with Kroger's Customer Service, or actually lack thereof. I NEED to use the delivery service as I am very high risk for contracting COVID.
