Produce is terrible. Either moldy in store or turns bad within a day or two after purchase. Yesterday purchased fresh mint. It looked fine on outside but when home to wash, inside was black and slimey. Two-pound box of grapes only had 1.26 pounds of grapes in it and most grapes had moldy grapes in it. Digital coupons are time consuming to use, just put the items on sale. Certain brands, like Good Culture, are often out of stock. The only reason I go in this store is because of its location, but continue to be frustrated every time I go. read more

Worst Kroger I've ever been to, especially after the recent reorganization. None of the similar products are placed near each other. There are random home good aisles in the middle of the food aisles. The cereal aisle is all by itself at the far end of frozen foods. It's nearly impossible to find what you're looking for without going up and down every aisle because none of it makes sense. The aisles are also incredibly cluttered with baskets and bins that make it extremely difficult to navigate shopping carts through the store. read more

If Roger Moore, Roger Federer, or Roger Rabbit come up to you and tell you an awful Dad joke (who but the French would do such a cringey thing! Paris the thought!), just roll your eyes and say "K, Roger." This is a tiny little village location in a large Plaza in Milford which is quite a long way Northwest of Detroit and not really close to any highways, so it'll take you quite a while to get over here. They're well stocked in most things and they're actually friendly enough - maybe because it's a small town. But I definitely wouldn't come here if I wasn't already in Milford for something else - like for example when I come here to use the gym. Which is kind of an iffy gym despite being shiny and new. Barbie liked this store - "this is a nice grocery store. Their prices are a bit high, but their sales are good. They have organic produce, which is great. I have been living in Milford for almost 2 years now and we always shop at Kroger since we like the location and the available merchandise. There is one particular item that is not available at this Kroger. It is the Silk Soy Milk Original Unflavored Creamer. They only offer the Silk Soy Milk Vanilla and Hazelnut Flavored Creamer. I have spoken several times to different store managers about this and the response I received from them was "Let me check and we will get back to you. We always want our customers to be happy...". The usual customer service narrative. The problem is none of them ever called me back. It's almost 2 years since I have been in this neighborhood and Kroger still does not have the unflavored creamer available. The lack of communication from them tells me that the store managers and Kroger in general really does not care about making the customer happy nor do they have the decency to at least follow through with a phone call. The truth is they don't care. I have been going to the Busch market in South Lyon to get the creamer I need. This is quite the inconvenience since it takes me 20 minutes each way to get it just because Kroger Milford's customer service is lacking. This Kroger recently got a makeover and it is really very nice inside. I stop here weekly for their fresh baked goods, but they have a wide selection of other prepared foods and produce in addition to a wonderful floral department and the regular groceries. I feel like I'm shopping at a high class market when I shop here, but I still get the Kroger prices. WIN! read more

I've been shopping at this store for 19 yrs and for whatever the reason the level of service is just getting worse and worse. Example: they have 12 self service checkout registers yet only 4 are open/working and since the other check out resisters only had 3 lines open, there were as many as 12 people waiting to check out. Sadly I had two items so that self serve one would've been great. read more

God, this store sucks. The only reason I come here, is because it's basically the only not-restaurant open in Milford after 10 p.m. They were doing a little better after the remodel, but now they're right back to not checking expiration dates on what they're selling -- whether that's packaged meat, a loaf of bread, a can of Spaghetti-O's, or a jar of salsa. On the produce side, hope you like fruit flies. I honestly think they got their act together temporarily, so that nobody would complain when they wanted to build their gas station. Normal stuff any grocery store would sell will stay unstocked for weeks, while the employees dutifully put sales tags on the empty shelves. Years ago, I complained to the manager that several items in my cart had expired -- some almost a year prior, and was treated like I was putting her out somehow. A message to their corporate offices netted a very terse "We'll look in to it." and no (obvious) action or follow-up. read more

Way too slow with check out. In the morning and night they often only have self check out. I come to a store to be served and I do not want to work at the store when I work all day. Many times shelves are empty after the weekend. I mentioned this to the manager and he was not helpful. Also, I had a problem with the self check out. My partner has Parkinson's and needed assistance with the self check out. The staff was horribly rude and did not help with the keying. I was embarrassed how we were treated. No sensitivity to ADA issues. Dairy, particularly with the Guernsey milk always is empty on Monday and constantly has spilled milk needing clean up. Thank goodness Milford has another grocery store option in Milford, which by the way does home delivery. read more

I just read Lindsey's review and I also moved to Milford from Florida. There is only one store in Florida to shop at and that is Publix which is awesome. This Kroger has a nice home town feel to it and the customer service is great. I also like the deals I get there from time to time. Shelves are full and they now have a Starbucks! Pretty good wine selection and someone to help in the department. read more

Incredibly poor management and utilization of staffing resources at this store. The place is full of shoppers waiting to check out at the tills during peak times and only TWO cashiers working! Shelves often are empty, so shopping is more like a "Where's Waldo" puzzle. If you shop here, be sure to pack your patience and make a list of alternatives because the items you want likely aren't available. UGH! read more

This pharmacy has terrible customer service. There is never a greeting or thank you/have a good day from staff. We have had two mistakes on RX. The pharmacist does not call the doctor office if there is a problem with the order nor does the staff call (the customer) if they are not filling the script due to insurance issues. I am switching to another pharmacy! Spending hard earning money on prescriptions is not fun and the pharmacy experience should be more pleasant and reliable! read more

The parking lot is ALWAYS jam packed, and drivers are rude and careless so watch out. Inside the store, the bottle return area is filthy and stinks. The shelves are often bare and poorly stocked. The only time the employees "hop to" and try to make everything look good is when the Corporate Suits are there visiting en masse. Try to shop on one of those days if you can. It's close to home and work so that's the only reason I shop there. Cashiers are okay but it's hit or miss. Quite often the produce is old, moldy and horrible. (Make sure you carefully inspect it before you put it in your cart!) The pharmacy is HORRIBLE. The drive-through prescription pick up building (installed a decade ago and takes up about 1/5 of the parking lot) has never worked. Great for when you're super sick and need to pick up medicine. At the pharmacy there is always a long line and unhappy, unfriendly employees. I really try to shop at other grocery stores when I'm out on the road - Meijer, etc. Just recently I visited Fresh Thyme Market in Northville. What a difference! We desperately need one in Milford. And the prices weren't bad, either! Milford Kroger needs some competition. PLEASE! read more
