Week day trip for groceries. Everything I was looking for was in stock and lots of sale labels around so I love getting a good price. Always use the app to load coupons and plan the shopping trip. Today they were also having the parking lot repaved so it'll be in greatconditions soon. The employees were very helpful and corrected the issue when one of the sale prices didn't pop up. So great service. The store is pretty clean. Sometimes get a bit crowded, but the aisles are a pretty standard width. Free wifi. Has a Starbucks and floral section. read more

Service workers are great! However, the aisles are too narrow and usually full of large carts begin loaded for those that ordered their items online or carts being unloaded onto the shelves. The dairy/cheese/egg aisles have so many stacked boxes in front of them that customers are actually trapped at times waiting to move in any direction. This is the worst designed Kroger I have ever frequented, but the next closest one in 40-50 minutes away so I don't expect any changes since there is no competition. I only go early in the morning or not at all and do without due to the crowded aisles. read more

So I really didn't like Kroger before I don't know why but I prefer Walmart more. But now Kroger offers Clicklist which I really really like! PLUS, it's so simple and easy I save 45 minutes to an hour of my day easily. This was my second time using Clicklist and I have no complaints with the exception of one thing. I forgot to add cheese to my list, so I called in 3 hours before pick up time to ask if they could add it in. After 7 minutes on hold, I got an abrupt and cold no. Bummer. Shit happens, you forget stuff but Clicklist is not forgiving of that which is sad. So be Santa and check your list twice because you can't add on once you've completed and sent in your order online! read more

Kroger's pharmacy on Coshocton Avenue in Mount Vernon Ohio actually does a pretty good job for the most part they are on top of everything on top of renewals and things like that although a few of the people working there have a little bit of an attitude but I'm sure wouldn't you deal with the public and people in pain trying to get their medication I'm sure tempers kind of Run High so I guess it's to be expected a little they seem to handle it well the drive-thru or not the drive-thru but they walk up window seems to be effective although sometimes the workers inside tend to forget about it a little read more

I feel sorry for the non-management employees that work at Kroger. They are instructed to tell customers something that is not true. I was in Kroger's in Mount Vernon, OH last Sunday (March 11). I was looking to purchase Tempeh for 2 recipes that I was using it in the following weekend (March 17 and 18). Tempeh was the star of both recipes, and there are no substitutions. I wanted to make vegan Reuben sandwiches for St. Patrick's day and vegan Paella yesterday, 3/18. They only carry 1 brand/variety of tempeh (versus about 6-8 varieties of tofu), and the Tempeh was out of stock. I was told it should be in by Tuesday or Wednesday. I went back on Tuesday and Wednesday, and they were still out of stock. I spoke to a very nice cashier supervisor, who walked me over to a person who was stocking the shelves in the next (organic) aisle. I will not mention her name, since she had wonderful customer service skills! She said the tempeh was definitely on order and it would definitely be in on Saturday (March 17). She took my name and I told her to hold 6 packages for me. She also offered me a 7th free package for my trouble. She said she was confident that the order would be in on Saturday, and took my name and number to call me when it came in. I spent about 50 additional dollars to purchase other items for the two recipes, and some of them will go bad, by the time I get the tempeh (bread and produce). By the way, who doesn't carry RYE BREAD for St. Patrick's day weekend? I received a voicemail on Saturday morning from the associate, like she promised, but she said the delivery did not come, so to not come in to the store. This meant I was NOT making either recipe. I called every grocery store within a 40 mile radius (Newark, Johnstown, Danville, Loudonville and Ashland) and none of them carried Tempeh. So, thank you KROGER MOUNT VERNON, for coming through for me, just like you promised. If there were another choice for a major grocery store close by, I would NEVER shop at Kroger. (Sorry, WalMart is not a choice for me, since they are worse than Kroger). I miss Big Bear. read more

This Kroger is not so great but the pharmacy is HORRIBLE. You have ridiculous wait times. Most pharmacies will say be back in 20 minutes this one is like come back in an hour and a half! The lines are always super long, no one is particularly friendly. I've decided to start looking for a new pharmacy this one is so bad. I want to be able to drop off a prescription and shop and then pick it up when I leave. Which you can usually do at most pharmacies but not this one. You have to leave and comeback! And when you get back expect to stand in line for a really long time. Just not worth the hassle when there are so many other choices. read more

Mount Vernon, Ohio Kroger store is a "good 'ole boys" club. Many employees are related to each other or long time pals so nobody performs their best knowing the others will cover for them. The isles are very narrow & crowded, the fish department STINKS to high heaven! I haven't shopped there in over 2 years even though it's a mile from my home. read more
