Worst Kroger I have ever been to. Nothing made sense in location and super small. Almost no organic choices but a few. Not to mention at checkout the bagger wasn't even helping bag the groceries so it was very slow. There was a buy one get one free deal and she asked me if I wanted to go get the other one. I'm not from the area so I said I'm not really sure where they are and so she just said ok then... meanwhile another checker and courtesy clerk behind her were literally doing nothing but standing and talking. Pretty satisfied at this location. Visits are fairly smooth. Restrooms are clean. Store is clean. We like that there are seats in Starbucks. Kroger offers free wifi. Comes in handy. I often visit the business center, courtesy booth. My experiences there are excellent. Excellent service. Excellent customer service. The staff are very nice, friendly, helpful. Starbucks used to give away coffee grounds. I haven't needed any so I don't know if they still do this. It was a very nice gesture, service. Starbucks staff are very nice. Cannot comment on pharmacy as I've never used, but I am considering. Kroger. I use the app. I appreciate the specials, the offers. Bakery staff are very nice. I've asked bread to be sliced. Great attitude, approachable. I use self check out. It's very pleasant. Highly recommend this Kroger's. read more

They prioritize you scanning your own stuff with machines than employing the right number of checkers. I routinely wait in a single line too long. They also haven't had edible bagels there in probably five years since their master baker left. Their tortillas also took a hit with that baker leaving, and I don't get them there anymore either. On the positive side, I've gone to Kroger for the last 10 years. Even though I much prefer the original Kroger with all the trees blocking the view of the roads, Kroger has good bollitos and is conveniently close to me. For those new to the area this is the same as Ralph's in California. Now as a Californian I'm used to a melting pot of people and ideas. However this store hires the youngest woke employees I have ever witnessed. Case in point. Tonight I went in to grab a few things. Julia and Kasandra interacting with the customers. My turn came and I said hi, good evening and they looked at me and said nothing, then began to talk to each other. Kasandra the bag person had so much disdain for an older non pink haired man that she refused to acknowledge me after thanking her for bagging my groceries. She would just look, dead at me and not say a word. I get it, Texas is not California but seriously why do you hire people that act like that towards customers. read more

The produce has a big mold problem. Fruits will only last a day or two and then is covered by mold. It's not worth the money or the opportunity to bring a bunch of spores home to infect everything else in the fridge. I can get the same fruits from HEB and no mold. And...more than once I've had a gnat infestation from onions from this Kroger. read more

We have been shopping there for 29 years but we also shop HEB. HEB has far better produce and meat. We tend to do small trips to this Kroeger store but major trips to HEB. Pharmacy is not as good as it used to be.. drugs often late and often make several trips. Drug reminder system not very effective as it seems to indicate when they received your order but not when to pick up. Rare drugs have to be special ordered and deliver can be two weeks or more. Considering that it can take a week to see a GP and then two weeks to get the drug then odds are you do not need the drug when it arrives. read more

The store really need some help. Walking through the fruit department and you have rotten vegetable with gnats everywhere. One cashier open. They're pushing everybody to go to self check out with his long lines. Staff seems somewhat nice. You definitely need to staff better for high demand times. Very disappointing read more

It's a shame, but I find that this place isn't the same as when I moved here over a decade ago. I have to agree with the comments about the bugs in the produce section. When I move the onions around, little gnats start flying around. Some produce I brought home also included a complimentary fruit fly infestation of my kitchen. I was killing them for days... The employees are ok, but they just don't seem real happy to be there. The bakery manager is great and the made to order cakes are good. The clicklist employees are top notch. The pharmacy is superb and I get all prescriptions filled there without problem. I started going to HEB and always leave happy. I don't get the warm and fuzzies leaving this store. This is the closest grocery store to my home. A few days ago during the crazy arctic weather event, without power and deep in caffeine withdrawal, I went there hoping for supplies and coffee from the Starbucks inside. Unfortunately Starbucks was closed. I noticed that about half of the lights in the store were out. Apparently, they'd lost power and were not able to sell the food that had been refrigerated or frozen. They also looked understaffed. Still I was able to find fluids and foods that didn't require heat to eat. During my search for supplies and while checking out, it was noticeable how kind and helpful the employees were. I'm sure they probably had their own concerns from our weather impacts. They seemed to understand and were compassionate about the shoppers' plight. My gratitude and respect the the store's staff and leadership for offering what they could during this most difficult time! read more

This review is for the Starbucks inside this Kroger. I usually get a drink there while I am grocery shopping, and most of the times the people working there are decent enough. I never had any problems with them until today. It all changed this morning. Today (May 18th, 2017) I went to get some iced coffee after I was done with shopping around 10:10AM. There was this young lady with long hair working by herself, when I ordered a tall iced coffee, she just looked at me like my being there was really annoying her and said "What?!" So I repeated my order, no reaction from her, did not say "OK" or even a slightest smile. In my mind I was thinking that she could still have said something like "Excuse me?"or "Can you say that again" if she could not hear me the first time instead of "What?!" But, I was trying to let it go thinking that maybe she was not having a good day...... Well, the things got a lot worse after that. When she finished making my iced coffee, instead of just simply handing it to me or at least putting it down in front of me, she pushed the cup towards me without even looking at me. I had to catch the sliding cup in shock. Then she turned her back immediately without saying anything. No "Thank you" or anything! In fact all I heard from her the entire time I was there was that one word, "What!?" in the beginning. Unbelievably rude! I felt like an animal being fed by an extremely rude owner, rather than a paying customer getting her drink. I ended up throwing away that entire iced coffee in a trash can later because I was so furious. It looks like the ones working at that Starbucks are Kroger employees, not Starbucks', at this location. In that case Kroger definitely needs to train their workers better. Although she was the only exceptionally rude one I have seen so far, because she was SOOOO bad it is just enough to stop me from going back there. I will never go back to that Starbucks, I mean there are so many other coffee places in Kingwood that would appreciate your business and treat you better. Also I will probably be going to HEB for groceries more often instead of this Kroger until they can finally realize how important it is for their business to educate their workers and try to hire more decent and service-oriented individuals. read more

Visited this Kroger on Sunday about 8:00PM. Had over $100 groceries and there were only self checkout aisles available. The checkout machines were slow, there was no room to put your bagged groceries and, as we all know, if you remove your groceries, you are told by the machine to replace your items. The young girl trying to handle the self checkout was very busy so we had to wait to have our ID verified for the wine we were purchasing I have not noticed a reduction in the price of my groceries despite the service has gone down considerably and I am now serving myself. There are several grocery stores just up the road and I will be traveling a little farther to shop then from now on. read more

Not a huge fan of this grocery store or the prices. It's not a bad store. As a matter of fact is better than most. But you have a super HEB just down the street and my friends, there is no competition. It's as predictable as OU playing Iowa State. They have a better than average meat, seafood and selection of fruits & vegetables. read more

Make sure to check your bill I was overcharged. When I drove back for a refund Becky didn't seem to be to care too much about her mistake or my $10. I had to go stand in another line at customer service while she took a brake. Make sure the staff isn't having a cold one (or 6) on you like Becky thought she would have on me. read more

This Kroger used to be my go to store for whatever I needed. Now, sadly it hardly has everything on my grocery list. Three times now they have been out of items and when I mention having to shop elsewhere I receive shoulder shrug and oh well attitude. Very sad. read more

Do not order online they never "get" ur order or they will deliver it a day late without out notifying you, will never try online service with this store again they are decent in person, online is trash. Also customer service is trash and will keep you on hold to hope to get u to hang up or they will conveniently hang out up or loose the call. I was an HEB shopper for many years, but then I moved to Kingwood. Kroger has the best stores in town. This one is near my house and I have never had any issues. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I have never had a pharmacy actually spend time to help me like they did. I had issues filling a prescription for my daughter and then I was trying to find the best cost for it. They were able to help me and find ways for me save money. They even called me to talk about it on more than 1 occasion. Such a great staff working at this location. I won't take my prescriptions anywhere else! read more

This store does not support Veterans. This weekend (Veterans day weekend) the Store Director asked the local VFW post to remove their table from in front of the Store where they were giving out Poppies and collecting donations. They had received permission to do so about 3 months ago, but the Store Director chose not to honor that. They have lost a customer for life! read more

Kroger has taken away their senior citizens discount and, when asked, they make the lame and empty promise of more coupons in the mail. 10% off all Kroger brands is a significant savings and promotes customer and brand loyalty. A 25 cent coupon off a product I don't use or need is not 10% off my bill. This is inexcusable as it gives the message that senior citizens do not matter. HEB will take over soon and I'm the first to leave. My mother, who was affected by this change on her fixed income, has been a loyal customer for 30 years or more. Shameful. read more

Pharmacy is the best. I love the pharmacist, he is super nice and knows everything! I am in the process of transferring all my prescriptions to this pharmacist! I also love Ryan who is the customer service guy. He remembers names and my mother loves to ask him every question but he never minds and treats her so nice. I was in the bakery picking up a cake for my daughters birthday when I watched a older woman behind the bakery counter of the cakes take her glove off grab a napkin and blow her nose. Now this woman could of washed her hands but didn't. Instead I watched her throw her napkin away and get a new glove. WTH!!!!! Sick!!! Oh and to top it off they manage to still misspell my kids name "Abigail". I think I'll make the drive the new krogers in humble. read more

Kroger is the closest grocery store to our home but, that is not the only reason we shop there. The selection is always good, the store is clean and the help is very good. They have 4 self checkout registers which is a bonus for me! I like self check out for quick trips. read more

There's a lot of changes that happen in staff and management, but Kroger is right around the corner from our home and we go there for pretty much everything. Yes I do get many prescriptions filled but I also know there are plenty of other people that do as well. Yet they all remember my name when I go there. New to Kingwood I started shopping at Randall's and although it is a little more expensive it far exceeds the level of service you will receive at this Kroger. When I moved just off of Northpark I started shopping at this Kroger. The employee's are rude and offer very little help in the location of items. I typically shop between 9 and 10 pm during the week to avoid crowds and since it's a slower pace you might expect a more friendly environment, but I have found the exact opposite to be true. I have no problem with our local Kroger. Employees have always been helpful and I have never found the store out of anything I have on my list! I especially will comment about Kristen, a checker who has always been helpful and Ryan in the Pharmacy who goes out of his way to help customers. The Kroger on Northpark is my favorite because of the size of the store. I have shopped at the Kroger at 59 however it is so large that it takes forever to shop there. As for HEB, I have shopped at the new one and still feel more comfortable at the Northpark Kroger. Their produce is fresh, the employees have always been cheerful and helpful and it is very close to my house.Even when walking in, the employees always greet a customer, and the only complaint I have is packing the groceries too heavy in the bags! Otherwise no complaints about service, items available and the employees. I am happy shopping at the Kroger on Northpark in Kingwood. Thank you. read more
