Due to the unpredictable weather in the Houston area, my tire unfortunately went flat after I purchased it only 4 months ago from Walmart. Jane quickly let me know that there'll be an extensive wait because they prioritized appointments first. Once I told her that I'd purchased my tires from Walmart and had a road hazard warranty, she consulted with the Manager on Duty, Tony, and they were able to service my car immediately. Funny enough, no holes or punctures were found in the tire.... Now, I am just hoping that this isn't a fluke. Nonetheless, I appreciated their kindness and consideration after I explained that in order for me to get to work (30 miles away), I needed my car to be serviced. This Walmart was one of the most organized I've ever seen; it made the waiting time manageable as I was able to easily maneuver through the clothing aisles and came across some cute sale finds and even some Harry Potter items on clearance! Everybody in there is so rude I went in 15 minutes before close and had every single employee that saw me come up to me and tell me that they were closed (when they really weren't) in a demanding and rude tone, i understand that people wanna go home, I was just getting food for my cats and leaving but I couldn't come earlier because I had just gotten off work. As you know, we're all in the middle of the covid 19 drama. I worked all night at Kingwood Medical Center, and came out to the parking lot to find a flat tire. I drove over to the porter Walmart where I buy my tires, and they said they were NOT doing any service including warranty work. I explained that I have to go back to work and that I'm going to have to have a tire that works on the car. The service manager, Joshua, went and spoke to James Bond the overall manager of the store and they came out, and agreed to repair the tire! They really helped me out in a jam! I have had it. This store doesn't deserve my time or business. This isn't the first time this has happened. I placed an order online. I arrived at the store at the scheduled hour. I waited nearly an hour. I work a 12hr shift, and I have a family at home. My time is strained as it is. I couldn't ask anyone what was going on, because there wasn't anyone there. I called the store and was transferred to "pick up" service. The phone rang, rang, and rang for such a long time. I wondered if everyone decided to quit their jobs while I waited. Older looking blonde in customer service returns area made us go out into the store and buy a envelope to return and item that we ordered online. We ordered two cat harnesses online that came in one package and were packaged together and sent to us as one package but told us that they had to send the harnesses back separately and that we would have to package the second harness for her to be able to return it, what bullcrap!!! PORTER TX WALMART- Meat Dept. This is about the 4th time (in 6 month's) I have gotten meat that had a good expiration date and I open it and nasty,sour, rank!!! Ridiculous!! I just bought it! I do not know what they are doing but they can easily cause food poisoning. I have had bad chicken twice, hamburger meat, and now these ribs from Tyson!!! This is probably one of the better stocked Walmart's around. This store always has more inventory on seasonal items especially Christmas decor and the garden section. When my children were younger I would drive here from Kingwood because they always had a broad selection of toys. Don't get me wrong, this is still Walmart. But the inventory and selection this location offers is 2nd to none and easily qualifies As one of Walmart's banner locations. read more

There was a broken jar with a messy spill of some sort in the clothing department. I knew this could be dangerous to an elderly or a running child. (It is such a selfish act to walk away from this if you knowingly did this mess and could cause someone else to get seriously injured.) I flagged down a lady worker to show her the mess. She kept walking as I said "excuse me ma'am " and with an angry voice and look on her face said "I'm with a customer right now". As she kept walking I told her "there is broken glass on the floor." She immediately stopped and said "where?" After showing her she called someone. Then I had my son run over to the front and tell a manager because no one ever came. I finally saw that janitor lady walking past me and I asked her to come clean the mess. Finally it got cleaned but no one seems to care. I understand it gets redundant and boring working at Walmart but shouldn't be rude to people that pay you a check. read more

This is one of the largest Walmarts I have ever been in. The store has recently been remodeled and is very nice. Not only was it clean, but the shelves were well stocked and organized. Being such a large store they were well stocked with a variety of items. The staff we encountered were friendly and we used the self checkout as we did not have many items. I recommend this store for a great shopping experience. read more

Restrooms not in the greatest order. Cleanliness debatable. Anyone using the handicapped stalls,should at least clean up after they leave a toilet paper mess on the seats. Those who actually need that stall don't always have the luxury of being able to clean up after others. The cashier I had last night was interesting. She did not like bagging and was somewhat defensive because I insisted on bagging what she would not. I had at least one icy look from the young lady. I was walking and I did need handles on my items, just to take them to the vehicle. Otherwise the store is large and it seemed like there had been a run on many items and therefore made a few products unavailable. One young lady stocker in the dairy department was quite pleasant and offered assistance to see if we needed anything. She even smiled. read more

I have never been so astonished by great customer service as I was today. I went to Walmart Supercenter in Porter Texas and I knew that I was going to need 12 bag of Top soil and 7 bags of Mulch, so I asked one of the greeter employees whose name was Michael, if they had any flatbed carts that I could use. Michael looked all over the store and brought me back a flatbed cart. He then proceeded to help load the bags onto my flatbed. So after I paid for everything he told me to park closer to the gardening section and helped me again load the bags into my car. I was extremely impressed by how this employee kept going above and beyond his job. Now having said I do understand that the employees might not be able to help me like that all time, due to the high volume of customers. But I love shopping at Walmart, and thank you Walmart for giving me another great experience. read more

I've never experienced anything like the smell in this Walmart location. Everything in the store was coated in the powerful odor of cigarette smoke. This isn't my regular Walmart, it was just on my way home from an out of the way errand so I stopped in to grab a few extras for dinner. The smell hits you with the stale density of a toxic fog. I should have turned around right on my heel and exited immediately. But I thought perhaps someone (or several someones) had maybe just smoked too close to the entrance. As I hiked further in, I found out I was sorely mistaken. I didn't even buy any of the fresh vegetables, I didn't trust the fact that they'd been exposed to this air. I grabbed a bag of Blue Bird frozen broccoli and made my escape. By the time I made it through the check out, my eyes were literally watery from the smell. I will never go back there. Good lord, Walmart has fallen into a downward spiral that I can't imagine them every recovering from. I must have missed the notice. Apparently customers and employees are required to skip all personal hygiene before visiting the store. The powerful odor and filth worn by many of the people at this store location is mind blowing. The cluttered aisles, rude employees and the stench of their clientele have sealed the deal for me - I won't step foot inside one of their stores again....but I will continue to laugh when I'm sent one of those hilarious "people of Walmart" emails that show 400 pound people wearing their underwear in public. read more

This store is almost always incredibly busy, with shoppers who seem to move at their own pace, taking up the entire aisle to have a chat or randomly stopping to think. It can be frustrating. However, this store does have everything you need and always at a good price. The store is usually understaffed (bad management?) but the employees on the sales floor are always friendly and willing to help. Cashiers are hit-and-miss. read more

This review is for the automotive/tire and lube center at this Walmart location. They did a wonderful job in assisting me. The cashier named Valerie displayed great customer service in showing me the battery, price, and explaining the 5 year warranty that comes with the battery. I was told to park my truck in the available spot and was assisted by w knowledgeable and friendly technician. I didn't catch his name but he got the job done in under 10 minutes. I had originally gone to a another tire and battery place across the street from Walmart and was told the battery and installation would be 263! That price seemed a little much. My instincts told me to go to Walmart and compare prices. I'm so glad I made the choice to try Walmart instead! I payed a total of 165! You can't beat a savings of almost 100 bucks. read more

DO NOT USE WAL-MART PORTER EYE CENTER. This so called eye vision center got my eye glass prescription wrong 3 times and after a month of driving back and forth with broken glasses, they still have not made it right. I have lost time from work, lost money on gas and have been using broken glasses the whole time. The doctor refuses to refund my $69 exam fee, he refuses to return my phone calls, he has not apologized and the receptionist is rude. After reading other peoples comments on google about Porter Eye Center, it's obvious this location is scamming people and using the good Wal-Mart name as a facad to gain peoples trust a take there hard earned money. I will be contacting Wal Mart and the BBB in regards to this practice, they obviously have no business running this facility. read more

First of all - I've almost never experienced the kinds of problems I've had at their pharmacy - PLEASE, if you need to use a walmart pharmacy, make the 10 minute trip to the Kingwood Walmart Neighborhood Market. Trust me. By the time you make the drive and back, you will have SAVED time compared to how long you will wait at Porter Walmart. If I need just a few items, I will run in here quickly. I've never been in a Walmart that consistently never has more than 7 lines open during the busiest hours like Porter Walmart. The cherry on top is when it's the weekend before Christmas and there still are barely any lines open and you've been in line for 20 minutes and none of the lines are even moving. Came here to get new tires. They guy behind the counter named Benny seemed perturbed that I was there. After an awkward moment of him staring at his cell phone while I stood there he told me I was going to wait a long time even though I was the only customer in the section. I was like ok whatever mainly because one of my tires had a nail in it and was going flat so I wasn't positive it would make it to another tire store. After huffing and puffing his way through the paperwork he just walked away without saying anything. Thankfully about 20 minutes later some other employees showed up who were much more pleasant to work with. Took about an hour and half total. Also the DVD player in the waiting room plays Cars 2 on repeat. Tread carefully with this place. read more

Horrible location- and that is saying a lot since my expectations for a walmart are pretty low. Like other reviewers have stated, there are rarely enough registers open to accommodate customers. When you do get to the register, the cashiers are nice enough but most other employees are rude especially at the service desk when you need to return exchange something. This is also the only location that insists on checking my receipt when i leave. I would understand if i had unbagged or expensive electronics, but a cart full of groceries and an air filter? Really??? Shopping here is more stressful than helpful. read more

Automotive Center--unbelievably horrible. Would have walked out, but they were the only ones open. Waited 30 minutes in line for quote to fix flat tire, ONE HOUR in line after that to speak to guy who takes the keys. ONE HOUR later (2.5 hours in at this point) still nobody had touched my car. Wouldn't mind, but many cars have come and gone. Complaining only made things worse. Will never come here again. read more
