This Kroger doesn't always have what is needed in the organic produce section. There have been several times that they were missing kale, purple kale, beets, Swiss chard, etc... I'm not sure who runs the that department, but the Kroger in St. Clair Shores & Grosse Pointe Woods carry these organic products consistently. I've gone to the service department and had to wait an awful long time. Again, this isn't an issue at their neighboring stores. Better management is needed. I'm fine with going where I know I'll find what I'm looking for. read more

I'm commenting on the Kroger at Old Eight Mile Road and Harper Avenue in Harper Woods. It's a relatively small store compared with other Kroger stores within a two mile radius. It does have everything necessary for a family to get through a week of meals. Someone who hasn't shopped a Kroger Super Store probably will not notice the store's smaller set list. I and my family do buy Kroger branded items, and Private Selection brands a great deal. Decent amount of choices at the deli and fish counter. More than enough fresh cut beef chicken and pork in the meat cases. And the vendor packaged lunch and dinner racks are always nicely stocked. Produce department has always gotten employee attention anytime I visit so I buy with confidence here. All the coolers in the store have been updated within the past 15 months or so. Won't comment on the grocery aisles; seem typical to me. read more

This local Kroger is the best for everyday goods. I have never found it too crowded to get in and out pretty quickly. The employees are helpful. On occasion, they are super-friendly and a pleasure to work with. I find the customers are friendly, too. The fruit and veggie section is always clean and fresh. The store is generally well-stocked. Being a smaller Kroger, there are unusual groceries they don't carry, so go to the larger Kroger up a mile away. My only complaint is that the can/bottle recycling center gets very grimey, and I tend not to want to even approach that room. read more

OMG!!! I'm so embarrassed I dropped cupcakes that I was getting for my Birthday celebration...but when I tell you latonya was so nice kind and forgiving. There are some friendly workers but for the most part it's a bunch of younger people with bad attitudes. The produce section isn't the greatest but it isn't horrible. Usually,everyday items that one needs are available. It's a typical Kroger shopping experience. read more

Worst Kroger of all Krogers! I don't know why, but the produce here is always bad- like on the shelf, they are selling it rotten. My observation of the meat and deli counter is extremely less than desirable. It doesn't not look like proper food safety. Everything in this Kroger is disheveled and unorganized. Best kroger in the area. Convenient and easy in and out. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Most items are in stock. The deli staff is superb and I go there to get my boars head meats weekly. They remember my orders and offer quick service. I only frequent other Kroger's if I need to purchase whiskey as this kroger does not carry. read more

I used to go here a lot, they had certain items the other Krogers didn't. Now who was the idiot that decided to re-do the cat food isle? Cans of cat food are small, and they put them down like on the bottom shelves. You have to get on your knees, crawl around on the floor to see what kinds are down there, or if they are pushed in the back of the shelf, how the F$%K are you supposed to see them? Then they also put the bigger boxes and cases of canned food at eye level, the top shelves where the cans USED to be... STUPID......Even the lady standing next to me said, "They don't make it very easy for you do they? We both stood there looking like, how the hell are we supposed to find anything? Mop up the floor with our clothes? I will never go here again. Idiots read more

Not up to the standards other Kroger supermarkets in the area set. Not dirty, but messy, disorganized.

Probably my favorite Kroger. My mom gets her prescriptions here and the staff is always super nice and accommodating. The store is always clean. Well stocked on most items. Although it doesn't have the new look like the other two stores close by it. It still boats more products than both locations. Staff is always nice and one of the managers even gave me a recipe for béchamel sauce. They now carry beef bacon which is tough to come by btw. The gentleman at the flower counter is pretty knowledgable also. I've rarely had an issue at this Kroger. It's a Good place to grocery shop. read more

Update- Ok tried it again and once again all the isles were full of employees and stock blocking the isles . Will stick with the Mack location now. Usually a decent Kroger but today they were doing stock at 10am..couldn't get thru the isles and workers were blocked almost everything I needed to get too..couldn't get my cart thru anywhere. I ended up walking out and will go to a different store later. So much for getting my shopping done quickly. It's Really annoying that they would stock there shelves during the day ...why not at night or super early. I wont be back probably. To many other Kroger's to go to. read more

This store is great, the folks at the fish counter are very helpful and friendly. The parking is another story completely. I have been hit twice in their lot and seen several others being hit while I wait for my wife in my vehicle. It would be my suggestion to park as far away as you can walk if you are at all concerned about the possible damage to your auto. Please be advised that most people simply throw their car in reverse and back out of their parking spot oblivious to who may be behind them. read more

They have the worst parking making going there a hassle. Inside it's a average small Kroger.

This Kroger has an excellent bakery department, they ladies there are polite. I had a special request for a birthday cake for my daughter and they were more than accommodating.. There produce I feel does need a bit cleaning up, fruits and veggies can be left out to long becoming rotten, so I hope that they can improve that department. The cashiers are always polite and even the customer service workers will open up a register to move you out faster. Amy is a fanatic customer rep, and always willing to help! read more

I recently used the Kroger click-list where you order your groceries on line and pick them up in a designated location at the store. Kudo's to you Kroger!!! My order was perfect, no expired items, the fruit and vegetables were all fresh. The young lady that brought my order to the car was pleasant and friendly. I had made an error in my order and with no problem (and actually a smile) she fixed it and i was on my way. Total time including ordering my groceries on line...20 minutes!! read more
