I'm a fan of Krogers as they have some great unusual options as well as alternatives like vegan cheeses, creamers and such. Their produce is always fresh and you can usually find a good deal on items. We like all their coupons and encouragements based on previous purchased items. I also find the staff to be pleasant and the store clean. Others often notice they stock items in the am which causes some shopping issues (can't get through aisles), but I appreciate that they keep items on the shelves! I'm willing to navigate some things to not have empty shelves! We are thankful for this store and do most of our shopping here as after cost analysis we find their overall prices are very competitive. read more

This store is under terrible management. it's beyond anything I have ever seen, 345 on a Saturday they have no hamburger stocked, pallets in aisles because nothing is stocked, you can't navigate the store in this condition. 4 carts being picked for pickup or delivery orders taking up aisle space. 3 cashiers, UScan lines 5 people deep, the person running the UScan is doing other things away from where they should be to address the machines that requires assistance constantly, 2 front end leaders watching the chaos - and people bagging their own groceries to sit there and have a 15 minute conversation about their personal life's. If you can avoid this store, I would. The Fairview location and Smokey Row Road locations do not operate like this. read more

Staff is friendly. 10 AM no cashiers, only self serve check out. It took me and my wife over 20 minutes to ring up our $151.00 of groceries. Rack with sign says 75% off all Christmas items. In middle of all Christmas items is Green extension cord, which is NOT 75% off ( question. Then why is it place with everything else that is 75% off?) very misleading. Cottage cheese in cooler 8 days expired. But store is clean and staff is friendly. read more

Although I don't shop here regularly, I like that the grocery has a nice location that isn't too far off SR 37(eventually to be I-69) along Southport Road. They carry all the brands you see in the larger Krogers and have a pharmacy on site. They also have a floral area, a bakery, a produce section, and a deli. They have a decent sized area for wine, liquor and beer, including a few local craft brews. I was a little surprised that only half the self serve stations were open. I get that they don't need all the check out lanes staffed, but why not have the self check lanes open? The store was clean and seemed like the produce and deli sections were filled with fresh items (no fishy smell like at some groceries.) Night manager for front end rude and unhelpful. She tried to ignore me while she was closing register 15 minutes early then the time for only self checkout. Closing registers before time then saying she won't do transaction when told needed to type in card information. I left my basket there due to her attitude. I had less than 15 items. While I love this Kroger and do all my shopping here, I'd like to draw attention to the young woman that works at the Murray's cheese counter. I unfortunately did not catch her name but you can tell she is passionate about cheese and sharing that passion with her customers. I went in looking for the makings for a wine and cheese night and I'm lucky I met her. She let me try many different cheeses and asked a lot of great questions to get the idea of what I was looking for even though I had minimal knowledge on cheese and its pairings. read more

Update on the bakery - still is terrible. We bought a cake last week for my birthday (one of the strawberry ones they have out around Mother's Day) and the whole cake collapsed before we got home! Checking it out, it was clear whomever is responsible for baking cakes literally didn't make it right - it was under-mixed which created an air bubble which made it collapse with much movement. It was also under-baked. Also the great produce department - more often than not, the produce is literally a day or two (if not hours) from expiring. I got cucumbers last week that felt fine on Saturday - by Monday they were so soft and squishy and disgusting. read more

The Staff at Buff and Southport are so rude. I have Witnessed a Deli employee several times role her eyes once her customer walks away and this same employee has complained to me about new hires that work in her dept. Very clean with friendly service! Also, a convenient Starbucks right when you walk on, who doesn't love that? They have a huge made daily sushi selection as well as a variety of natural and organic products, they even carry Beyond the Beef plant based burger patties! I wish Kroger carried more natural and cruelty free make-up products... Recently they added Clicklist which has made their already busy parking lot a little more of a struggle, but overall a great grocery shopping experience. read more

We shop here most weeks. It has a very good selection of meats, vegetables and fruits. The employees are always friendly and helpful with needs of customers. Good to see that they are trying to work safe and reminding people about social distancing. Store is clean and well organized with staff on the floor helping customers and making sure that the shelves are organized. My favorite grocery shopping spot! It's always clean and I like the layout. I've noticed they have a better grocery selection than Walmart. There's several items I can't find at Walmart but I can find here. I have noticed sometimes that produce isn't as stocked as it should be, which is my only complaint. They have been completely out of certain items occasionally. However, I still find this Kroger location much better than other options in the area. Some of my highlights: - Love the Starbucks inside - Awesome floral selection - Large variety of ready made foods (salad bar, soup, rotisserie chickens, etc.) - Tons of self checkout and lanes open. I Love that Kroger has upgraded to natural & Organic foods! I would like to say that speedway Kroger needs more natural & organic meats, it seems they are judging the area, and assuming that they only need a few natural meats! People are educating themselves every day on the chemicals in store bought Meats. And more and more people are buying Natural meats. So please don't think your catering to the environment by not ordering more natural and organic and farm-raised Meats. It would be highly appreciated if I didn't have to go out my way to a Kroger 2 miles farther down the road, just for a few more items that should be in every Kroger! So the selection, organization and cleanliness of the store is all great. Unfortunately the staff (especially at night) always seem to be disinterested, rude or just weird. Recently I merely asked an employee if they had something in stock and it felt like I just imposed upon him a strenuous, back-breaking task. I have been to a lot of Krogers, and this is my most favorite one ever! It is clean, it has a great selection of fresh and healthy foods, and the employees are very friendly. PLUS, they have an in-store Starbucks. (Doesn't get better than that, right?) It is normally pretty busy, so lines can get long on the weekends - but you are always able to get in and out in a reasonable time because they normally have most of their checkout lines open. A couple of pro-Kroger tips: 1) Download the Kroger app - they have a ton of eCoupons for your shopping needs! (That sync automatically to your Kroger card.) 2) Use your fuel points to save money at the Kroger gas station in front of the store. read more

It really is a wonderful wonderful Kroger. It's huge inside, despite of its somewhat smaller entrance. It is abundantly stocked with a large variety of food items. I had a review that Yelp felt needed censorship so ill just leave this as one star for now until i can get it updated. Good luck finding anything in stock here whether its on sale or not or navigating the parking lot. Management leaves much to be desired (or they did at least), thats why as of the last few months management has changed and they revamped the store and re-did the parking lot. There are people living in this community who are supported by a local church who dont have to work who will abuse Kroger cards and have 5-10 of them per family taking advantage of any sale, buying whole cartloads of one item, cleaning out shelves. Ive nicely asked Kroger management to put limits on how much milk or gallons of water one person can buy when i see a cart with 12-15 gallons and i just want one, and someone from management gave me the low down on how these families abuse sales and Kroger cards. I love this grocery store! Since the remodel you can literally find everything you need for a shopping experience! The staff are long time dedicated employees that care about their job, store and their customers! I am in town visiting my parents-but I grew up around here and always visit for convenience. My most recent visit here I met Barb in the deli- so so sweet and helpful. I also met the bakery lady at 6am (didn't catch her name as she was super busy making us donuts but she is fantastic!!). Unfortunately I had to visit the little clinic inside --wonderful experience) and both of the pharmacist, as well as pharmacy staff as a whole, answered all my questions and were just amazing!! If I had to drive a few miles to feel comfortable in a grocery I would---luckily I don't have to. Their produce is fresh, deli, meat and seafood selection is suburb and layout is very easy to manage! 3 bad attitudes, 3 strikes you're out. I walk in and ask for help from the guy that runs around with a mobile device to help people check out, no smile, I ask who runs the liquor and beer department? He says that guy over there, I ask could you please get him for me I'm looking for a specific item? He was mad that I asked him to do this! It's your job man. As I wait another gentleman I try to engage in conversation with has no smile, and expresses disinterest when I say I'm new and just want a helping hand to show me where to go. It's not what you say it's how you say it. The guy with the mobile check out device gets the guy in a white button down who seems upset because I pulled him away from bagging groceries. I ask do you carry 3 floyds beer, he says no? I say I'm looking for locally brewed beer. He brings me to the department and seems upset because I am asking questions about who is local, do you have anything local that's not in a can, he shows me but when I ask can you request this from the distributor he says I'll try but I asked before? It wasn't what he said but how he said it. I understand jobs can be stressful but it's easy to be professional, smile, and carry on. On my way out the gentlemen with the mobile check out device that referred me to the white button down gentleman looked me in the eye and said nothing, no smile, but a look like you bothered me. It seems that they either have bad attitudes or are underpaid and under appreciated, either way, I will do my best to avoid this location and especially those three gentlemen that ruined my shopping experience.
