This Kroger is one of the newer, updated locations. It has a full pharmacy, a pet section, a bakery, a liquor store, a big wine section, plus areas for home goods, makeup, clothing, and more. It really feels like you can find just about anything you might need in a pinch. This is where I do most of my day to day grocery shopping. The produce section is consistently good and the vegetables are always fresh. I also end up stopping here for a lot of quick trips. Sometimes I'll run in for popcorn and candy for a movie night, or grab an easy dinner from the sushi counter and pick up a pint of ice cream to go with it. I will say the sushi is a bit overpriced for the portion size, and you'll probably get a better value at Jungle Jim's. That said, Kroger sometimes discounts the sushi later in the day, which can be a good option just less fresh. They also occasionally have a small discounted produce section with older vegetables marked down. It's a nice idea and I love the concept of reducing food waste, but the section is pretty small and not always stocked. I'd love to see that expanded. Parking can occasionally be a bit of a nightmare depending on the time of day, but other than that it's a really convenient store. My only other wish is that they stayed open later. Overall, it's a solid place for both weekly grocery runs and quick last minute stops. read more

This review isn't against "Kroger" themselves, but the employees they hire. I know businesses are desperate for employees these days, but maybe during the hiring process, you could make sure they at least have a friendly personality. I went in there Sunday June 28th, early afternoon and went through the self-check out line, and I needed a product from the tobacco cabinet, so I pushed "call attendant," and a young blonde girl named Kyleigh came walking over as if I totally inconvenienced her. She just looked at me, so I asked if I could get 2 Kodiaks. She didn't say a word, just turned and walked away to go get it. When she came back, she scanned them herself, so I thanked her, and once again, she just walked away, then went back over to the podium thing they stand at, and continued talking to the other younger male employee that was standing there, too. I have been trying to get a bouquet made for a funeral all week! I filled out the floral paper, even noted to call me ASAP! They lost the paper! I left my number and messages every day trying to reach Kim! I have not got a return phone call from anybody. New girl took my info down and floral request and said she would give me and call back, Here it is the day before the funeral and I still have no floral arrangements ordered! I purchased two items that were 90 percent off. When I got to the checkout I told the lady (Scottie) that they were marked down to .40 cents each. She rang them up at $3.99. I told her they were 90 percent off and to please get someone. A guy came over and I told him where they were. I also told him I got the last two. Scottie was not friendly or nice and had a bad attitude. I come here every week and will now avoid her register. read more

DO NOT DO PICKUP FROM THIS LOCATION. They gave me multiple different types of completely rotten veggies, crushed the few good ones by putting my cases of water on top of everything else and then gave me an attitude when I called about it. The manager that picked up the phone originally said they had a lot of problems like this already before transferring me to the pickup department, and then the pickup manager decided he was Mr. big and bad and was going to snap at me almost as soon as he picked up. I'd rather take the financial hit on this trip and not deal with their poor customer service and rotten food. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on, and so should you. Where to begin. So I've stopped using Kroger due to the high prices and the terrible food quality and their clicklist is a joke, items always out of stock or "in store only", which negates the whole purpose of the clicklist. This past Monday my wife did a clicklist order and one of the items was for Black Forest ham 1 lb shaved, what we got was 1/3 of a lb of the quick pickup from the deli. The person who filled the order didn't even bother to have the deli shave it... missing 3 other items. I hate the clicklist from this specific location, it's simple reasons like this why I switched to Walmart who always has everything in stock and they deliver for free. I won't go back to Kroger they never get better. People always talk about corporate greed with Walmart, what about Kroger? Their prices at times are between 5-60% higher (depending on the product). This is not a well run location Constantly stocking blocking the aisles and not moving for customers . If you go early in the morning there are no cashiers or baggers . Employees literally standing around and watching you bag your own groceries . The self checkout is not properly laid out . Then add the prices much cheaper places to shop . read more

I called in my prescription on Sunday and was told it would be ready after 2pm on Monday. I show up at 3pm on Monday - no prescription. The person behind the counter then told me the reason it wasn't refilled is that they do not bill insurance on prescription refills (?) and that I would have to pay for my prescription which is covered by insurance! As a store itself, I really like this location. From a convenience stand point, no matter what day or time this place always seems super busy! I come to this location when I am not in a hurry and am feeling patient. Since this is a marketplace, the right side of the store has a small clothing section, housewares, and shoes. There is a Fred Meyer jeweler, Starbucks, and Liquor location set up as stores within the store. I have only used the pharmacy at this location, if I have gone to the Little Clinic and want to fill something they wrote me a prescription for (as the pharmacy here is also always crazy busy). Bonus, there is a drive thru for the pharmacy. Being a larger location they mostly have a bigger selection of food. The produce is always fresh. The staff does a nice job. Dont go on Monday, as they seem to always be cleaned out from the weekend. read more

I had called the florist on, i believe it was 8/15, to have a small arrangement of daisys ready for me to pick up today 8/19. I cant remember the ladys name i spoke w, but she was super nice. When i went inside to get the flowers Robin helped me & she was the one who put them all together & she did a fabulous job! The employees in the store go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service at all times. They are polite courteous friendly and quick to respond. They don't get rattled they just handle your problem. They always do right by the customer. Whether it's delivery click list pick up or in-store shopping they are amazing! That includes the very friendly people that even run the checkouts in the different departments. Customer service is clearly important and you meet and exceed expectations! read more

This is, without a doubt, the most poorly managed Kroger store I have ever encountered and a true basement dweller of the grocery retail industry. 515 in the afternoon on a work day and there are three registers open. Lines backed up into the isles, with a minimum 30 minute wait just for the privilege of handing your money over to Kroger after watching this nightmare unfold. As usual, several managers stand around with clipboards, brows furrowed, looking very concerned but not really doing anything to help.....like get on a damn register! When, oh when, will some grocery retailer realize that simply opening an average store anywhere near this monstrosity would put it out of business inside of 30 days? In addition, the store smells bad, has perpetually under stocked shelves, and is drab and dirty. read more

Always happy with their prices, I've noticed some differences between locations. This location has a liquor store, and they are def cheaper than others, we found a4$difference on a vodka brand, versus the deli liquor store down the road. Staff is always super polite, and helpful. This location has a great deli, hot lunch options, and Murray's cheese! Yum. BTW, a don't hesitate to ask at Murray's for a sample, they are more than happy to oblige and have some serious education on cheese! read more

The two horrible reviews of this store are what compelled me to write one of my own. Let me start by saying that I adore the Marketplace stores. They have so much more than the average Kroger stores. The deli and cheese area are double the size of the standard stores. This also means that the stores are considerably larger. Then add in the fact that they sell household goods and decor as well as clothing and you've got a store slightly smaller than a Walmart. Some people have stated that moving forward they planned to do their shopping at Walmart rather than this store. There are a few key difference between Walmart and Kroger Marketplace that makes Kroger the hands down winner: 1. The cleanliness. I've never felt like I needed a shower after visiting a Kroger. This store is new, making everything very nice. 2. The produce. Have you ever looked at Walmart's produce? Horrible! Not only am I impressed with the quality of the produce at Kroger, but they also occasionally feature local farm food and I think that's great! 3. The employees. If you're struggling to find something, an employee is always within a few steps. They are always pleasant and helpful. They usually see the lost look on your face and offer assistance long before you decide to ask. 4. The brands. Kroger sells a great variety of brands, from their own Private Selection labels to natural organic brands. This means that the store caters to many different shoppers and not just the penny pinching shopper like at Walmart. The downside to this store is the poor layout. For example, the bread is nowhere near the bakery section. Rather, it's located close to the chips and snack aisle. It takes a few months to feel like you've got the hang of it. Another problem is the foot traffic. This store services a large geographical location which means on the weekend it gets cuh-razy. We avoid going on Saturday and Sunday. Weekday nights are a breeze, so if you can swing that, you're life will be so much easier. Honestly, if I could give this store 4.5 stars, I would. read more

I love this Kroger's! It's very rare they run out of items. They always have multiple registers open so the wait is never long.

Their ClickList service is absolutely terrible. I'm ashamed to say that I've sat in their parking lot waiting over an hour for my order on three separate occasions. You'd think I would've learned my lesson the first two times, but I complained on Twitter, and got $25 gift cards the first two times. Now, they just blatantly ignore me on social media and through emails. Even though they TELL me to email them, and have ignored the last four I've sent. I guess it's easier for them to believe that I'm a liar who's out to get $25 worth of groceries, than it is for them to believe that their service is continuously horrible. However, if you still decide to try ClickList, please complain when you have to wait over an hour. Something needs to be done about it. It's ridiculous that people are paying hundreds of dollars for groceries, paying the fee for ClickList, and then wasting an hour or more of their day sitting in a parking lot. read more

I have repeatedly tried to give this Kroger a chance, mainly because it's close. But really, it has to be the worst store experience every single time I shop here. Poorly managed youth with zero customer service skills. The self shoppers (in the store) for click list are seriously rude. Shelves are never stocked. Deli is always incredibly understaffed. Deli more expensive than other stores in area. Most meat pre-packaged and mainly for families 3 or more. Store ground hamburger is only sold in family packages. Store is extremely large. Even has clothes. Recommend to go early morning or late evening to avoid crowds. Alot of the crowding is from employees having carts and boxes...and them in the way while shopping at busy times. Wouldn't recommend going around 10pm or so..they shut down about all registers besides u scan. 10:30 they gather around time clock waiting to clock out at 11pm. I really like this Kroger. I'm familiar with the layout and the store is always stocked and clean. The deli workers are nice and the produce is fresh. Some of the bagged produce isn't the best but I don't think that's the stores fault - you put out what is delivered. I avoid the weekend cause it's crazy but the checkout is always accommodating to my byob (bring your own bags). read more

I would assume that nobody would read a review without at least one star so I felt compelled to award one star. Otherwise I would have awarded no stars. I just completed my very last visit to this store and while I am not normally one to write a review I just felt that I had to in this case. I have been a Kroger customer for as long as I can remember, it was actually one of the criteria considered when I purchased my home, how close is the nearest Kroger. It used to be about a mile from my house and there was another location about 7 miles from home. Recently the marketing geniuses at Kroger decided to close both of those stores and open a Kroger "Marketplace" in a location more central to the 2 old ones. This resulted in my decision to never go to Krogers again. The 2 old stores were almost always crowded and more often than not it was difficult to find parking at either store. The store on the east side of Amelia served the eastern half of Amelia and the neighboring communities like Bethel and New Richmond, while the Western store served the Western side of Amelia and it's neighboring communities. Now there is only one location for all of these communities resulting in the most ridiculous grocery shopping experience you can ever imagine. The new store has a very nice Deli that is totally useless unless you want to spend an hour waiting after picking the dreaded next number. They have a much wider selection of all your grocery needs but you just can't get to them to make your selection. The place is a zoo from the parking lot through the checkout and even getting out of the parking lot. There is a Walmart next to the location of the old store and as much as I dislike waiting in line to pay for my groceries behind a guy buying plumbing supplies to repair his toilet, I will be doing my grocery shopping there from now on. I don't know who the marketing genius is that came up with this plan with no consideration for the size of the market but great job guys. read more

This is a pretty decent grocery store. The produce selection is better than many. I could do without the jewelry store but I suppose some people like that sort of thing. The fresh made sushi is worth a try. All other standard grocery store accoutrement can be had for a reasonable price. read more

Don't go there if your in a hurry. Stuff is everywhere..it is split up so you have to hunt for everything. When you get used to it ...they will change it. The meat is only packed for large package purchases ...so if you have just a couple to buy meat for it is best to go somewhere else. This place is always crowded and some of the cashier's make the cash out slower. You may be next in line but you could be there forever. My Pickup experience was abysmal. I waited almost two hours to receive my groceries. My pickup time was 6-7 p.m. I arrived at 6:04 and called to relay that I had arrived, and then I waited and waited . . . and waited. I called again at 7:15, but no one answered the phone. I called a minute later, and the associate answered and took my information again. I waited longer. I called again at 7:38 to ask how much longer until I received my groceries. The associate said 5-10 minutes. About 15 minutes later, they brought my groceries. I then went inside to speak to a manager and talked to the manager at the service desk. I told him that I had waited almost two hours to get my groceries and wanted him to know that Pickup had major issues. The manager at the desk said that they were aware that it was a problem. He said that the floor manager was in the Pickup area and that I could speak to him. At that point, I was not interested in speaking to another manager because I still had groceries in the car. It would have been nice if the manager had at least recognized and apologized for the inconvenience. I will never use the Pickup service again. read more

A while ago I spoke with a wine department supervisor and asked about stocking Franzia White Grenache. A week later it was stocked but only 4 boxes at a time which went fast. As a customer and specifically seeking White Grenache it seemed to be selling very well as I was making several trips to catch it in stock. The past few weeks Franzia White Grenache has been absent from the shelves. I guess it's back to Kentucky to get what I want. Over all the new store is very nice but the wine department forfeits the other two stars. read more

First off I'll admit this store is not organized as you would expect from a big grocery store. It has taken me a long time to find what I'm looking for, especially if you are ever looking for natural or organic foods. While most stores have a separate section for these specialty items, this Kroger tries to mix these into the regular isles with a small section of natural/organic squeezed in amongst the regular food. Very easy to overlook. Certain sections aren't where you'd naturally expect either. Example... the pre-packaged bread is halfway across the store from the fresh bakery area. So yes, this store can be confusing and downright frustrating at times. If you are looking for absolute savings, yes there are other big box stores in the area where you can find cheaper personal items and general pre-packaged groceries. What I have found though is the employees are super helpful. If you can't find something, there is usually someone close by that is more than willing to not only tell you where to find it but will actually walk you there and help search the shelves with you. The folks working in the butcher/seafood area are very friendly and knowledgeable. The employees in the balloon/floral dept, bakery and deli always welcome you with a smile. The main reason I continue to shop at this store is the quality of the fresh food. The quality of the meat, seafood, and produce are by far way higher than that of the local competition. Short of going to a dedicated butcher or farmer's market, you'll be hard pressed to find a better quality/$ for fresh meat, seafood, or produce. This particular Kroger also promotes locally sourced produce. A very nice touch to support our local farmers. So while you may be able to find certain items like pre-packaged food or consumer products cheaper at some of the other big box stores, if you value your fresh food quality, I find this Kroger well worth the additional expense. To be honest, after shopping at this Kroger as much as I have lately, I'm downright appalled by the quality of produce some of the other local stores carry. I'm all for one-stop shopping but I have actually left other stores to go to this Kroger for my fresh food. I do despise the gimmicky store loyally programs like Kroger's Plus card but they do pay off if you are going to shop here anyway. If you shop on Amazon or go to restaurants, take advantage of Kroger's 4x fuel point promotions to stock up on giftcards to use later and get $0.40 off per gallon of gas. read more
