This was probably the best experience I had at a Trader Joe's, especially this one. Usually the parking lot is pretty packed and it can be a bit of a workout to find parking, but I went late enough where there was a ton of spots open. I went at about 7pm which was perfect timing and there were very little people there, it made it much easier to shop around. They had a ton of stuff available, especially for being so late in the day. Everything was mostly stocked. There may have been a few items that they didn't restock yet but to be expected with how late I went. My shopping was quick and easy, and I love the variety and unique stuff that they always have. I also am so thankful with how patient the employees are since I never know where anything is lol! My cashier was super nice and talkative. We chatted about some of their products and it was great to chat and learn more about the cool stuff that they have. This is my favorite grocery store in the area and they always have awesome stuff available! read more

The variety of gourmet & organic items is impressive. The prices here are reasonable too. When checking out, the cashier gave me a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day. In town visiting Family, of course had to make a stop at Trader Joe's to pick up some groceries for the house. Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store and happy to see one over here, although a little bit and drive vs 5 minutes from my house in California. They have such high quality delicious food and items and their prices are excellent. You can get organic, unique items, prepared foods, fresh produce, artisan cheeses, breads, wine, beer, great plants and flowers, etc. All without breaking the bank. Eat better, spend less. Of course there are some pricey items, but overall very reasonable. The exterior and Interior are both typical for Trader Joe's, they all have their own take and decorate based on the surrounding areas it is in, but the selection and footprint is mostly the same from store to store. The employees here are so friendly and make you feel good when you shop and are very helpful. Service is key these days and Trader Joe's knocks it out of the park. Enjoy! read more

I admit that I have had a very mixed relationship with Trader Joe's historically... I don't really trust their produce and meat that much (I can't talk about why because I have PTSD from it tbh), but I have always loved their freeze dried fruit and many of their frozen foods. Shout out to their freeze dried mangosteen, you will live forever in my heart. Also their premade salads tend to be underseasoned, I'm always adding random stuff to them to zhuzh it up a little bit. But that's ok. This location has restored my faith in TJs. First of all it has the best parking lot of any location I've been to (Castro Valley, Piedmont, East Sacramento have some really nasty ones lol). I always get in and out of here really easily and I so appreciate that! I also haven't been poisoned yet by the produce here so that's a big plus. Lol, give it time I guess. That bag of kale is lurking in my fridge to get me. Another love/hate thing is the seasonality of products. Like I just discovered their strawberry chocolate popcorn which I guess is a seasonal valentine's item (and is the most addictive shit ever), but I got it in April... and today they did not have it! Heartbreak emoji. But it's ok, it's better to have loved than not at all. I mentioned already that their freeze dried fruit is incredible, the strawberries are a long time favorite and are usually cheaper and better here than anywhere else. Another recent discovery is the freeze dried fig slices - I rave about these to anyone who will listen. I always keep their gnocchi, gyoza and soup dumplings in my freezer for a reliable standby too. Today Reagan (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!!) at the checkout let me know about these blood orange mochi that sound incredible. She called another team member to go get them for me and then she didn't ring them up and just put them in my bag...?!?! She said I could try them on Trader Joe's. It was so incredibly kind of her. I haven't tried them yet but like, who does that? In this economy? So freaking nice. I was already finding myself coming here more than I usually do and now it'll be even more frequently. I so want to give Trader Joe's, in Kenwood, a 5 star review because it definitely has one of the best 'gourmet' grocery selections for less. They have a nice fresh produce selection along with frozen foods, and shelved grocery items. Lots of healthy choices. I love finding something new to try and it's usually delish. The help is efficient and friendly. However, the store is always insanely busy. Due to its small size it can be frustrating trying to navigate the aisles- even when visiting mid-morning on a weekday. Then there's the parking, which today resulted in me driving around the lot several times looking for an open space. Hence, the 4 stars vs 5. The Cincinnati metro area (north of the Ohio river) could definitely use another Trader Joe's - and honestly both would be packed! I'm not sure why they don't go for it. read more

Such great customer service here! Employees are always chipper and care about everyone they serve. Not sure how they do it, but they consistently hire well. Sometimes things run out quickly here. I can not express my love enough. Trader Joe's doesn't have to advertise because when you fall in love you want to tell the world. If you are new to the TJs fan club make sure you talk to a crew member and let them know, you'll get a free reusable bag. If you had something major happen in your life, chat up a crew member, they have given me flowers more times than my boyfriend of 7 years. Last time because we just bought a house. Anyways get the onion salt. We keep 5 at all times. All the seasoning are FANTASTIC. The great thing is, you buy it, take it home and don't like by it, bring it back. They won't even question it, they will just refund you A word from a seasoned TJ enthusiast, if you think you'd like to try it, don't wait. Almost 1/3 of the store is V seasonal so you never know when or if you will see that item again. read more

Trader Joe's is always a good idea. They have the best snacks - like the Pickle Popcorn - that keep you coming back because you just can't find them anywhere else. They also have great prices and even beat other places on non TJ brand items (like Dr. Bronner's soap). But one thing that is really really great about Trader Joe's are their flowers and houseplants. I recently got the a great collection of potted succulents, an orchid, and a trendy roundleafed plant whose name I've already forgotten. Anyway, the total price for all those was incredibly affordable and much less than what I would pay at a trendy shop or nursery!!!! read more

TJ's is limiting the amount of customers inside at any one time so you have to line up outside until you can go in. My wait was about 10 minutes. They have pop up tents shading you from the sun and also have free water while you wait! Each cart is wiped down with a sanitizing cloth before you enter. I thought masks were required, however I saw two customers inside who didn't have one on. The store itself is very clean. Due to COVID some items are on back order so they did not have several items I was looking for, but that's life! I've never been to a Trader Joe's and have been wanting to check it out. I finally stopped in on Thursday. It's a lot smaller than I anticipated but has a decent variety of items. I picked up some produce, seasonings, frozen items, a plant, dark chocolate, cheese, beer for my husband, and more. Overall, I found the store to be a pleasant experience. Plenty of interesting products but not so big it's intimidating. And the customer service was outstanding! From the person greeting us outside the door and handing us a freshly cleaned cart to the friendly cashier as we were leaving - excellent. I'd definitely stop back in. read more

I went there today to just get a couple of items. When I was waiting in line to check out I waited a little because the customer in front of me ran to get something from their car. I live coming to this place. It's a little small, but it has everything I am looking for and more. I forgot to take pictures of the fresh flowers and plants this store have. I got several succulents that I cannot find in NKY. Prices is very reasonable and it was from a local nursery. The place was well stocked, clean and organized. The people what I encountered during my visit there was very friendly, nice, helpful and very attentive. I will definitely come back to shop here again if and when I'm in the neighborhood. This is the only Trader Joes in the Cincinnati area. The next closest TJ is 50 miles north in Kettering, OH. I come here at least twice a week to get all of my groceries. You really can't beat the price per quality. The produce section is where I spend the most of my time. They have different veggies pre-packaged that you can't find at other supermarkets. The ever changing samples and my regular small dose of TJ coffee are a must to stop by. Unfortunately since this isn't one of their larger stores, they don't have all TJ items but its still good enough. I love their frozen food. You can get such a variety of meals that are quick to prepare and delicious. Also the wine section is not bad if you are looking for reasonably priced bottles. read more

Have I seriously not reviewed Trader Joe's? I guess I assumed you knew how I felt, because it's getting pretty serious between the Trader and I. This particular location takes some work to get into, find parking and not get into a car accident...but don't all wonderful things in life require a certain amount of inconvenience? Once inside, the most amazing thing about Trader Joe's is the ratio between excellent quality food (organic, grass fed, free-range, non-gmo, etc) and super reasonable prices. The wine section alone should entice you to stop in. They have many bottles that are exclusive to Trader Joe's, and very inexpensive...like $6 inexpensive. And really great wine! Between the wine section and crackers I always impulse buy something. The best part is always at the checkout, where my bill is always surprisingly cheap! read more

I love this place and wish they had one near my home in northern Kentucky. The first thing when you walk is so many flowers It's so inviting. With Spring around the corner tulips were everywhere. Some people go to Target to treat themselves, I come to Trader Joe's. There are only 2 locations in Cincinnati, but I will drive long distances for some TJ relaxation. Something about walking in and seeing fresh plants, friendly workers and the hand-made item signs makes my heart happy. If I lived closer, I would exclusively shop here for my groceries. Honestly, they have everything I use on a daily basis. As a college student who doesn't like to cook, I have found that TJs has the best frozen food, hands down. They have so many incredible things, ranging from breakfast foods, to snacks/desserts, to dinners, and add-ons like frozen fruit and veggies. I could go on forever. Besides frozen foods, they have great deals on home goods, plants, and even wine! People are seriously sleeping on TJ wine. My favorite thing to do is come here for charcuterie/appetizer supplies. If you're looking for interesting and delicious cheeses, look no further. TJ has the best cheese selection for a reasonable price. They also have great crackers, fruits and nuts, and meats to add as well. Pair this with a bottle of TJ wine, and you're set to impress. Prices are reasonable, if not less expensive than Kroger for some things. Shelves are always stocked, and if you can't find something, staff will happily help you. Parking is a breeze, check-out is efficient, and the location is great, as it's right by I-71. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and go. My wife came here earlier today. At check out, the cashier first asked my wife where she is from. He then asked her where she is "from" from (we're Asian Americans). When he scanned a bottle of vanilla extract, he further asked my wife for her ID even though it is not required by law. Vanilla extract, though 35% alcohol by volume, is regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration and not considered an alcoholic beverage. He further read out loud my wife's name, including an attempt at reading my wife's middle name, which spells out her non-English name. Our privacy was totally violated by this cashier, not to mention that it was downright creepy that the cashier repeatedly asked my wife personal questions and requested her ID that contains our home address. His announcement of my wife's name further violated our rights to stay anonymous in public. Exercise your judgment when it comes to shopping here. Do not allow their cashiers to violate your right to privacy needlessly. What a creep. read more

I was visiting from Belmont, CA and the store here in Cincinnati, OH, is amazing. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and I didn't know I wasn't at my store here in San Mateo. For folks, in Ohio, I have to clue you in on buying Trader Joe's Coastal Wines...you will not find a better wine at their price anywhere. It's hot there now so the Sauvignon Blanc, was crisp and delightful and very affordable. I pay $35 and more per bottle to get what you get for a fraction of that cost. How could I give TJ's anything BUT a 5-star review? The beauty of this location (and, any TJ's location) is how quickly you can get in and out (especially if you're a regular like me and know exactly what you're looking for!) The cashiers are always extremely friendly. My favorite is when they suggest ways to cook new items in my cart (I now sautée my cauliflower gnocchi exclusicely in roasted garlic & herb butter thanks to one of their recommendations!) The ONLY downside to this location is the amount of parking. The lot is shared with Verizon and David's Bridal, so it can be a struggle to find parking, especially on weekends. read more

I absolutely am in love with this place! 3 words: down-to-earth. Come here if your want to find real food and real people. This is what grocery stores should feel like, local and loving. It's small enough so that you can find what you are looking for without getting your whole days worth of steps in in one visit and if you can't find something, the staff is PLEASED to take you to exactly where the item is and even talk to you about it if you have questions. I mean, come on. How beautiful is that? One time, I was checking out and the cashier noticed ONE of the pears in my bag of pears was brown. This Trader Joe's location gets an A+ for various reasons. We used to shop at the original TJs in Pasadena and have always found this weird quirk that Trader Joe's always seem to have the worst parking. While this lot is sort of nuts at certain times of day, there are lots of spots. The staff are always always always friendly and helpful. I bring my kids often and they are always really warmly received and I've had some awesome interactions with various crew members. Flowers are always pretty and, of course, the rest of the selection is great. I feel so lucky to have TJs, and this one in particular, so close to home. read more

Out of all the grocery stores in Cincinnati, we travel over half an hour to go to this one. Reasons why: The staff- they are kind, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They remember me (let's be honest, they remember my adorable child) and take care of us. The food- they have items I can't find anywhere else. The Trader Joe's brands are all incredible, and a great value. LOTs and LOTS of options to choose from. The price- Everything is very reasonably priced. The value is good, and I never think "I could get that cheaper somewhere else", because I know Trader Joe's has better quality at the best value. The only downside I see is the parking situation- always a nightmare, day or night, but that seems to be a running joke- that Trader Joe's will always have a parking problem because it is so well-loved. read more

My favorite grocery store ever! They keep the best products and constantly rotate seasonal favorites. My favorite time of the year is fall when they break out all the pumpkin and thanksgiving. They have an unbelievable goat cheese roll wrapped in dried cranberries. I start to salivate just thinking about it. The produce and proteins are fresh and of good quality. During the holidays they have great small gifts that are perfect for coworkers or casual friends. If you ever have a question or need a suggestion for a new food to try ask the friendly staff. Being the only Trader Joe's in Cincy...There's really not much to say. I think that grocery stores in Cincy have a lot going for them in general. (Aka they are great. If you live here long term and have lived in other similar sized cities, you may know what I mean) It's clean and the products are equivalent to what you'd find at other Joe's. The only negative is the parking. It's ridiculous on weekends especially and having only one exit that allows you access back to the highway is annoying. It's a bit hidden so it's easy to miss but otherwise, samples are good and bathrooms are clean. read more
