It was my first time using the pick-up order at Mason Kroger (5100 Terra Firma Dr.). First and last. I ordered 9 items yesterday, and when I parked at the appropriate spot, a person brought me two bags of items and walked away. I checked the bags and found 8 items instead of 9. I went to the pick-up door and knocked. The same person opened the door. I told him I was missing one item, and he got offended immediately, told me that I ordered 8 and paid for 8. I asked for his receipt, but he told me it is on my phone. While I was looking for the receipt, he shut the door and never opened it again. I went inside the store and asked one of the management personnel, who found me another manager. That manager heard my story, and first he said that I am probably paid for 8 but not 9. I showed him the receipt (which stated 9 items). He checked my order and said he would give me a refund. I told him that I need 9 items, because it is the presents and I can't give 8 presents to 9 people. He said that they probably don't have one, but we found it in the store. I realize that all people make mistakes, but a rude and careless attitude is not acceptable. I felt like they didn't care about the customer. When I asked to take action to prevent similar disrespectful behavior for future customers, they just told me to go and place a review. It seems like they don't really care. At least I am making sure everyone around me is aware of this poorly designed business and rude employee. read more

I was never a huge fan of this Kroger the entire 4yrs I lived in Mason. I lived equally between this and another location and tended to prefer the other location. While this is the bigger, more modern choice, to me the flow of the store is odd compared to other Krogers. It also seems to be much busier at all times of day. Recently I was in the area waiting for a take out order to be ready, and needed to grab some groceries. I had heard this location was doing better with precautions in 2020 than most Krogers that seem to be a free for all, so I gave it a try. Not much has changed here. It was nice to see a dedicated cart cleaner at the front of the store, which I sadly haven't ever seen at other locations. Most of the customers were wearing masks, which was nice. The organization and stock of the store wasn't bad. The meat section was actually fairly well stocked and the deli was actually operating. Check out was a little more of a free for all, despite 6ft being clearly marked. I avoided the crazier looking self checkout area for an associate, but had to bag my own groceries and she made me feel rushed. This location does have a Starbucks, a Murrays Cheese, and Kroger gas out front. There was a very nice selection of seasonal plants outside. read more

Rude accusatory person in self check out The checkout person named VISHNU is a joke. He is not at the check out when I scanned the wine and a kroger worker person came and help to check my ID. This VISHNU came back and asked if I scan the beer and I said yes , your co worker checked my ID when I scan the wine first. I showed the beer scanned . But then he is not satisfied he went one by one at the screen checking and claimed I didn't. I said be better go ahead and check it again before accusing me. I pointed the scanned wine at the screen. He even didn't apologize. What a rude person. read more

I was originally standing in a very long line with only 2 (non you scan registers) open. With it being 2 days before Thanksgiving and 5 pm- I expected there to be more registers open. When I am coming for a quick shopping trip I don't mind using the self scan lanes, but with my cart full I preferred to go to a regular checkout lane. Thankfully, a very friendly manager, Bill, came and opened another lane. I also appreciated the reusable bag/ wine carrier that he gave me to carry my two bottles of wine. The store was well stocked and I was able to find everything I needed. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is I had to ask 3 different employees of where to locate Velveeta cheese and was sent to very different areas of the store before the third employee correctly told me where to locate it. read more

This location is on the smaller size. Not as small as the tiny Krogers out there, but nowhere near the size of the newer bigger ones. The ceilings seem to be a bit lower than other locations which makes the space seem smaller than it actually is. Overall just your average Kroger. I was there on a busy Saturday morning and it did feel really congested overall. Hard to get through the aisles if any other customers were in them. I'm sure it's not a big deal when it's slower but it's pretty annoying when it's not. Seemed to have your average selection of items. I did notice a wine bar/tasting set-up in the wine section but it seemed to be an afterthought that was just tacked on at some point. Not a bad place to stop in and grab a couple items, but I don't think I would want this to be my regular neighborhood Kroger. read more

Worst pharmacy service ever! 2 of 3 registers and the drive-up all closed. Tried to call for 4 hours so far but nobody answers. Completely understaffed. Been waiting for one common prescription for over 2 weeks. I asked why they can't get help and they said everyone goes across the street where Walgreen pays more. DUH! I shop here about twice a month. Multiple items each trip scan at the wrong price. They advertise one price and it will ring up sometimes multiple dollars more. I have the app coupons and I'm a Kroger plus member. It's just getting ridiculous that they advertise then change it once you're at the register. I assume they just hope you miss it. I have been to this Kroger on and off for many years. The employees are friendly and the store is very clean. I have been to several Kroger that I won't shop at anymore because the employees haven't learned Customer service. Hello St Route 74 Kroger. You won't take back another store's product because you don't want the return. I won't be back. They have a 5/3 in the store. It is a decent sized Kroger but not the super sized Kroger in Montgomery or Anderson or Oakley. Can usually get a decent parking space. read more

Been shopping here for 20 years. I've about had it. Before renovation, they had one 2-stall, nasty, broken down bathroom for women. After Reno, same bathroom but even worse. It is by far, the worst restroom Kroger has of the 6/7 stores I've been in. And way worse than other grocery chains! The room always smells, the tp roller is off the wall in one of the stalls. Other stall is about to fall off the tape holding it together at the bottom. It is the only toilet in the store! And, now after renovation, the aisles are so cut up, it's like a maze that makes no sense. Stock is bad, always out of things. There were several places in the store yesterday where plastic wrap was strewn all across the aisles. There are 3 other Krogers near and a really nice Meijer on Tylersville Rd. Used to go for the employees and great Starbucks, but most of the employees left and Starbucks is further in the store, which makes it not convenient to come in for just that! I don't usually yelp, but this experience has been so awful, I'm done with being loyal to this place. read more

For the 2nd time this week, we have had a horrible experience. 1stt with the Kroger insta cart where I specified a store and Kroger and Insta cart ignored me, then I had an employee harass me to the point of calling the police. Now, I decided to try direct Kroger delivery, appt. to receive delivery was bw 2-3 today..... It is 7:40 and no groceries. No one answer customer service and not 1 text or call about being late. I called at 4:20 this afternoon and rep was rude, supervisor was worse. Kroger is a horrible company and has no care for their customers. It is embarrassing that their headquarters is in Cincinnati. Phew. If you need a pharmacy, either don't use this one, or learn how to make your own medicine because I guarantee you both would be faster. Ignore any confirmations that your RX is ready, also. You'll wait 40 minutes in the line and then be told to come back in another 20 minutes because it's not ACTUALLY ready. I've never encountered this wait at any of the other local Kroger pharmacies, but this one is an absolute mess. read more

I haven't been here since the construction and renovations. It looks really nice now, everything is updated and clean. It was hard to find some of the things I was looking for, and then I found out at the checkout that they have directory maps. Overall its much nicer then it used to be. read more

This Kroger has a good selection of produce and the people are all usually very helpful and friendly. However, it has gotten very crowded with store employees fulfilling pick up orders. Unfortunately, is just not convenient to shop here anymore. I tried their delivery service and they use Instacart. It was a horrible experience. The first Instacart delivery person was nice but was unable to process the order and unable to get any support from Instacart. After 5 hours, I called and emailed Kroger to cancel my grocery delivery order. Five days after, another Instacart delivery person started processing my order and repeatedly disregarded my request to cancel my order. I told him NOT to deliver my order but he persisted to drive to my home! I told him I was not accepting the delivery. I asked him for his supervisor's contact info but he was cagey and would only provide a random gmail email address. I have never had other grocery services deliver at times convenient for them. They come at the time window selected, for good reasons. In addition, Kroger phone and Instacart phone wait times are over 45 mins to resolve any issues. In comparison, Walmart's phone customer service is excellent and quick. There are much better grocery delivery services that are reliable and have great customer support. read more

I used to love this location, and even worked there for a year or so to help pay for my Master's program. Unfortunately, as seems to be the case for the company in general, this store has gone downhill. The selection is nice, but it is beyond frustrating to shop with numerous stock and ClickList carts blocking every aisle. Don't expect to have any opportunity to browse or think about what you are buying- you have to be quick and agile if you want to make it out of here alive. read more

I don't usually shop at this Kroger, but today I ran in just to get some fruit. The store was clean and seemed well organized for the areas I quickly ran through. I grabbed some strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, blueberries, etc....I wanted to look at pineapple...the fresh- as in, in the skin cut your own was $3.99, the fresh already cut up was $7.02...say what? Are you kidding me? That is just insane, I am sorry Kroger, but why in the world would I pay you $3.00 to cut a pineapple and put it in a plastic container, when we both know that the container cost you no more than $.25...what a rip off (insert sad face here). While the strawberries were on sale, some of the packages were bad, so you had to look through them to find a good pack. All in all I think Kroger needs to look at the pricing for their produce section and take a serious look at cutting up fruit and putting it in plastic containers. I understand the convenience piece of it, but again it is no where worth an additional $3.00. Also, I wish the organic selection would have been larger. read more

It's your typical Kroger. Can get crazy sometimes, especially on the weekends. The set up isn't the greatest when it comes to the self-scans being pushed into the pharmacy/alcohol area. That always seems to be backed up and a pain to try to get through. They also have some housewares items and an organic section which just seems thrown in there. Also a tip: the cookies and sweets are located back by the alcohol and chips area. read more

After the recent remodel this Kroger is by far the nicest in the area. They don't have a jeweler in there (yet) but the quality and presentation of everything has improved immensely. They're slowly creeping up to the level of the nearby Whole Foods which is nice to see. I really appreciate the new attention to detail and their sampling of some of the nicer cheeses. They also have wine tastings on Fridays - we've not been to one yet but every time we're in there during one they looked absolutely packed, so I assume they're good. read more

Thus Kroger is much nicer now that most of the renovations are done. It's clean and has a nicer look to it now, but I have no idea what they were thinking with the layout. Things have been moved around and are in a completely illogical order (but it looks nicer now!) Some improvements are that the Starbucks, pharmacy and self-checkout areas have gotten much better. There are more self-scan areas and they are more compact/efficient. The wine area got moved by the cheese and fresh vegetables, but got smaller and more difficult to navigate. When it gets crowded (they started doing wine tastings on Friday nights to compete with Whole Foods, so every Friday night it is PACKED) it is nearly impossible to get to anything. On the plus side, they now have a water-cooling system to quickly chill wines for customers. I love this so much, especially since I tend to buy wine only when I want it (wine never lasts long in our home.) The nearby Kroger gas station is often reasonably priced compared to other gas stations in the area and has a decent layout. The real benefit is with the Kroger points and getting several cents off per-gallon. I've never liked the fresh food selection here, but for everything else it's just fine. I'd happily give them my business for stuff like paper towels over Wal-Mart. read more

If they run out of something they don't look at the tag they just order more of what was around it, or put a blue inconvenience sticker in it's place. I have been working down the street from this Kroger for six years. I had been going to the salad bar for lunch at least twice a week. However, about a year or so ago the quality started to go down and has steadily been going lower. I am not sure that it can get a lot worse. I have not been going nearly as often lately. Maybe once a month when its the most convenient healthy option. The lettuce is usually brown. The Chicken salad and tuna salads are dry--I assume from keeping it from previous days. The fruit is usually mushy. The overall selection is not as good as it once was but the price has gone up. I just went today and can tell you this was the last time. read more

This is a beautiful Kroger. I loved walking in here and seeing all of the open space. As soon as you enter you are met with the lovely smell of the Starbucks Coffee located right in front of you. Then, to you left you see the well stocked and quite large floral department. Cheery blossoms and shiny balloons great you as you continue to move through the store. Next, you see the large wine and beer section to your left and the enormous meat and bread department on your right. It's the largest meat and cheese area in the Krogers I have frequented. Plus, they have a very large baked goods section with the fancy deserts that rival Whole Foods and Dorothy Lane Market. The produce section is also beautifully stocked and offers much more produce than I am used to seeing. You also have the usual grocery aisles and staples as you continue through the store, but the show stoppers are really as you enter. Plus, with those Kroger plus rewards l usually feel that I am getting a really great deal. read more

The store itself is nice and well laid out but horrifically run by local store management. In trying to resolve a customer service issue the manager was disrespectful, arrogant and dismissive. His explanations were filled with inaccuracies and he became further dismissive when asked to explain his issues. No apologies and no basic level of customer service was offered. read more

I've been going to this Kroger's on a consistent basis for the past two years. Never had any problems up until two times ago and then this last time today. The customer service has been horrible. I stood at the self check out for 10 minutes waiting on somebody to help me. When I went to the customer service desk to ask for somebody, the lady with blond hair about bit my head off. I will not be going to this Kroger's again. Loveland is only a mile further and I'm sure their customer service is better. The lady working at the customer service desk should not even be in a customer service position. Wonder how much business they will lose in the coming months because of her. read more

I agree with Caroline that the layout is somewhat illogical. The store looks a lot nicer since the renovation, and their produce section is pretty amazing. I only wish they would have a larger section of organic produce as I like to use organically grown in my blended smoothies. I like the fact that Kroger has added quick meals for people on the go, and their rotisserie chicken is always a good go to. There is a gas station right across the street, so you can shop and then get your discounted gas. There is also a nice wine section, along with a red box, and lottery section. They also have a lot of 10 for $10 deals as well. I appreciate the fact that the parking lot is actually clean and free from random carts awaiting to don't your ride. The walmart down the street likes to keep one register open and a parking lot full of carts. That's why I'm willing to pay a little more to shop at Kroger and not have to deal with these headaches. Not to mention, they don't sell Tvs, birds, and a bunch of other crap that you don't really need, so in the end you actually spend less by not being tempted by other stuff to buy! read more

Pharmacy staff is terrible!!! Child's doctor sent in a prescription at 9am when I went to pick it up at 6pm they told me that it wouldn't be available until the next day. I have NEVER had a pharmacy tell me I had to wait for my child's prescription and if I did have to wait they would call me to double check it wasn't something that was an emergency. Will NOT be going back to them for meds any longer. read more

This Kroger used to be a fun place with clean, neat, and open spaces to shop. Something is different, new Manager perhaps? The store is dirty and the bathroom is filthy. I definitely think he needs to move on because he is ruining the happy experience that most of us need and crave while grocery shopping after a long week at work, e.g., a wine taste of the latest release and then buying a bottle to take home. I did not care for the set up at all!!! I went in for a few items. I went back to the meat area, stayed to the back of the store. I was scanning as I walked for SODA which I could not find without asking someone for help. It was some how in an area so out of place. The store person I asked for help had to ask another store person for help!?! I then asked the first person to please take my meat products back to the meat area. I decided at that point I wasnt just going to walk in circles because the soda was near the part of the store of which the first person and I just came from. I drove another 10 minutes to another Kroger store where I was pleased with the way I was treated. read more
