Kroger is my jam. I eat organic foods as much as possible and they have a large selection that is easily the best priced around. While the exterior may be a little sad, the inside was recently remodeled and is looking better than before. The inside still pales in comparison to specialty food stores in the area, but I don't mind, especially when saving money. Give Kroger a chance, especially if you like saving money. read more

I used to avoid this Kroger at all costs (Robberies/Outdated/Creepy)! Buttttttt since it's open 24/7 and right around the corner from my bf's house, it's been the ONLY option many nights! And I must say, I find myself going here during "normal" hours now as well - they have an awesomeeeee "health food" section (even better than my favvvvvv grocery store down the road!). Huge variety (frozen, cold, and dry) and reasonable prices. The staff have usually been friendly every time as well! read more

This might be busy , but customer service is lacking!! On hold for 9 minutes now to look and see if a item is in stock. Also the phone rings and rings. Rambo needs to get on the horn and train . Oh wait he hasn't even called me back to let me know if my special order came in . Oh yes she never came back to the phone. Ya know, I love Kroger, but I try to avoid the Forest Drive location because A) their meat selection is weak and way overpriced, even compared to other Krogers, B) they often aren't advertising the sales in their own circulars, which completely disrupts my budget and menu, C) the baggers, in general, seem to have better things to do than their jobs, and when they do bag, it's bad quality, except for a few I've had that were great. The interior pales as apposed to any other Kroger I've patronized. There is a general feeling of uncleanliness. The staff is generally unpleasant, discourteous, and unprofessional, with a very few outstanding exceptions. I've never found fault with the pharmacy. My first introduction to Kroger was in Atlanta, back in 2004. They were, without a doubt, stellar at all the various locations in the area. My local Kroger was the one on Peachtree street in Brookhaven in the Cherokee Shopping Plaza. It became a super Kroger while I resided there. I was a part of the neighborhood feedback group at the request of the management. I'm here in Columbia visiting my daughter. I live in Myrtle Beach and find that the Krogers in the Myrtle Beach live up to what I've come to expect from Kroger. This particular branch has a long way to go to meet the big standards I've come to expect with. read more

In much need of a remodel! Price is high and selection is week compared to other stores nearby.

Sometimes the ppl working here are ok sometimes they're not. The cashiers are mostly rude and always on their cell phones. The managers are rude too and so slow. I'll just stick to publix for my shopping. read more

Started shopping here when we first moved here because it was close. One of our first times shopping there my husband witnessed a guy trying to stuff alcohol in his clothes and had to alert the management. This store is run down and was always out of chicken breasts when I would go. Milk is $1 more at this location than the other Kroger's. I now make the drive to Killian rd to shop at the market place. Much bigger selection and very nice! read more

I went into this store to request a donation for a non-profit organization and couldn't leave without shopping the excellent organic section. Good sales! I had a great conversation with one of the helpful employees of a distributor. I left with two bags of groceries but must return to follow up on the donation...... :-) read more

Against my better judgement, I stopped at Kroger to pick up a few items. I couldn't find what I was looking for and asked an employee named Marvin where to find it since it wasn't where I thought it would be. Without even bothering to look at me, he said that if it wasn't on the shelf, they didn't have it. He didn't offer to walk over to the next aisle in case I missed it; he acted like he was doing me a favor by answering my question. When I went to the check out to ask if I could have a rain check since it wasn't in stock, I was told that they didn't give rainchecks. So, the Kroger employee problem is not limited to their North Myrtle Beach store. Worst service EVER in a grocery store. Do yourself a favor and shop anywhere but here. It must be company policy for employees to be rude and indifferent to customers. Go to The Fresh Market or Harris Teeter where the employees care about your business. read more
