As someone who's been visiting Toledo since college, I had no clue this was even here? From what the internet says, they've been open since 2004. They have a variety of nicer stores and restaurants to choose from with ample parking throughout. The place is clean, well maintained and easy to get in and out of regardless of what you're here for. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of experiences you could have here. Toledo is really trying to revamp their image and I'm glad this place is around. No more Franklin Park Mall for me! (unless it's Dillards, but that's rare.) Thank you to whomever put this outdoor mall here, as it's really a nice addition to a duller part of town.

The restaurants offer a wide variety of fare from Biaggis to Starbucks to Asianfusion-to bars. It's a well-kept area along with most stores and restaurants along one wide, divided boulevard main street with a few short side streets. Decorated seasonally. Busy and safe with well-lighted, wide sidewalks. There are outdoor benches and nearby hotels. It is easily accessed, just off the a main Interstate Highway exit (I-75).

Westchester Square Mall is a series of connected shops and includes outdoor paths between them. Included in the mall are places like the Omelette and Waffle Cafe, a stained glass gallery and supply store and many other small independent gift shops. One of the best things about shopping downtown Plymouth is that parking is a breeze. There are a number of large city-owned lots that are completely free, with time limits ranging from two to eight hours.

I wanted to get my daughter some spring clothes and I knew Carter's was still open. It was depressing to see how vacant and run down this place has become. Carter's was very nice and there were other people in there shopping but the rest of the mall was a ghost town. I think there was only one other store open in the strip of stores with Carter's. Across the way was some sort of store that was closed for the day and a Dress Barn. I drove around on the cracked and pot hole road and found a Levi's outlet but that is it. Everything else is boarded up. I'm not sure how much longer the remaining stores will make it.

It has a few stores that I like and it's in between the Flint area and metro Detroit, so it'll do in a pinch if I'm in the Brighton area, which happens now and then. They have a varied selection of stores, ranging from Dick's and Barnes and Noble to J. Jill, Claire's, Pier One and Five Below, plus a whole lot more, in addition to a few decent watering holes and eateries. In truth, they have more restaurant options than I would assume they might at such a small-ish open air/strip mall. It's better than having limited options or eateries with excessive lines or a crappy food court with just fast food garbage. I like the Pier One store, but the Barnes and Noble is not my favorite B & N location, but it's still nice to have a brick and mortar book store in the area. This mall has a few shops that we don't have at home, plus a variety of others that we do. Other than that, the parking is adequate and the location is pretty decent and convenient, just off the expressway. I'd like to see a few more boutiques open up, but for now, the mix of retailers is decent, relatively varied and the options for food & drinks is great for such a small venue.

The food court had 2 people, that hallway and the main hallway had 10 people that I could see. The 2 of us, the 2 in the food court, a mom, Dad and little kid, a janitor and 2 more barely visible. Most stores were closed or empty. Pennys was open but I dont like Pennys. If you have your heart set on a particular store, I would call in advance. We were going to Bath and Body Works. I was worried but it was open. Oh there was a small live band playing their heart out near the food court. They were decent but I felt bad for them. The mall was empty. No one was there to enjoy them. The mall itself was clean. But at 2pm on a Sunday, a prime shopping time, at least 40% of stores were closed for the day. I remember back in the day when Kauffmann's and Macy's were there and still took pride in their store, this mall was bustling. Not anymore. It is sad.

There is only one anchor left of the four it had when it opened. Lazarus has become a hospital. About half of the mall is now hospital. It's an interesting concept. There is a JC Penney open; granted in a reduced footprint. There is less than one corridor of mall left. There are two others that are barren storefronts. As I walked through the Food Court area, I noticed a beautiful fireplace that was blazing on a chilly day in late March... it's Ohio! While I didn't stop at any of the Food Court restaurants, (because I was on a mission and short on time), I wanted to share the ambiance of the casual dining section. For reference, the fast-food restaurant selections included S'Barro Italian, a Chick Fil-A, various burger spots, a Chinese and Thai restaurant- among others. Prices appeared typical. People were standing in line to place their orders (kind of self-serve with assistance) and could then choose to dine in the seating area or take it out of the mall. As I mentioned, I didn't dine there but paused to admire the fireplace.
