Normally, I would give this Kroger 3 stars despite being an older store that is long in the tooth. But today (a Saturday) I went to check out with a few items only to be told they were only checking out "carts." So I went to self check and 2 of the 4 stations were not even open. A man with an actual cart of groceries got behind me because they refused to check him out too. Who came up with this idiocy? If I was an executive with Kroger I would fire any manager ordering this nonsense. I have never experienced this at any other Kroger, even here on the south side. read more

I received my delivery order. When ordering online, kroger offers flash deal sale items. I ordered Kroger brand blueberry donut holes. Inside the unopened box was a live crawling roach. Not only that they messed up my order for the second time this weekend. I used to trust kroger more than walmart delivery and products. Not anymore. read more

I was in Kroger's today around 1:30pm to 2:00pm on 10/07/2025. I missed a scan (NOT ON PURPOSE) and a rep by the name of Isha or something like that (Black American Female) approached me and stated " See what we are not going to do is miss scan a product." This is my 3rd disrespectful encounter with Management. I will NO longer be shopping at this location. I will also make sure NONE of my family & friends shop at this location EVER!! Sad that I have to do this, but I've never experienced such a level of disrespect and incompetence. I called this store twice, and got hung up on twice. when I finally get through and ask to talk to the manager, I get the same treatment. She says her name is Britney and refuses to give her last name or offer any further help, and then hangs up. All I needed was to talk to the fraud department about a customer that seems to have gained access to my accounts and is continuously shopping at THIS particular store. The bank is aware and took the necessary measures to cancel the cards, but I was looking for a little help to catch this individual and make sure to prevent them from doing this in the future... But like I said, I got hung up on multiple times, and it's nice to know this is how you conduct business over there. read more

The young lady at the Riverdale /Kroger self check out, this morning was very upbeat and courteous. I was uneasy about using a virtual debit card from my phone with a bar code. She was very reassuring that this would be okay, and thanks to her it was. There were many workers in the store doing inventory and they were all helpful and polite. This Kroger is closer to my house. This location is okay. Some of the cashier could use some extra training in customer service. There is this nice male manager that's always on the floor working making the aisle look more organized. I like Kroger for their weekly sales, The free Friday download,Friday and Saturday 5x,buy any 3,4,5 for discounted price. Kroger's weekly sale starts over on Wednesday. But the disrespect, just because we went to self check out, because it was only 2 person checking out and expect everyone to wait long periods of time with only a few items. To I visited 7125 highway 85, in the frozen vegetable section there is the Kroger brand riced cauliflower it was above the tag that says 10/$10 so I grabbed all of them. Once I reached the cash register they rang up $2.19/each I explained to the cashier the price difference so she sent Barbra to check the price. Barbra came back and said, she didn't see them (I told her I grabbed all of them) she also stated she's not changing the price, and I Can speak to a manager. Stephanie came up and I explained to her the same thing, she went to the back, and couldn't find the tag either, she said she's not changing the price but Can give me 1 for a $1.... but im purchasing 12 that makes no sense. This store doesn't have adequate lighting in the parking lot. And there's trash out. And the selection of fresh produce is scarce. Oh, and the organic isle is tiny. This store needs a makeover and more selections. read more

The Customer service here is EXCELLENT. But the store is always busy and in my opinion not so clean. But by the time you make it in the store after being asked to buy shoes, purses and "A Miss Lady. Step Over to my Trunk and Look at this Movie!". Or "I Got that new Tyler Perry for you!" I am so tired that the stores appearance doesn't really bother me as much. My overall opinion is that if the store is not clean then the food will not be either. So I very rarely stop here when I need perishable items. But if I need canned soup, some wine or chips, then this place does the trick in a pinch. I give them a 3 Star because once you make it inside the staff members here are good at their job and they will help you with whatever you need, Be careful in the parking lot, There's a lot of traffic and it can be dangerous crossing the street due to inconsiderate drivers. I went to the deli at about 10:00 am. The lady behind the counter stated she would be right with me. About 7 minutes later she finally walked over. I asked for a for roast beef sandwich with spicy mustard. She put yellow mustard on the sandwich and then told me not to worry, she will use it for her lunch. I asked to try the pepper jack gourmanaise because it comes with the sandwich and I didn't know what it taste like. She told me we don't have that or half the things on that menu. I asked for oil and vinegar and the sandwich was drenched with oil. Just awful. read more

I wish you allowed a customer to choose all of the above because I sincereley would have chose all of the options. I feel like a victim of bait and switch when I was told by Instacart representtives that: If you order from the Kroger website and bypass the Instacart App, if your delivery is undelivered then Instacart refers you to Kroger and can do absolutely nothing to help you in regards to a re-order, refund or compensation. What Instacart can do is offer you their service to contact the shopper / driver and ask that person to go back to the incorrect location they delivered your groceries to and attempt to retrieve them and hopefully bring the half bitten remnants, opened jar, back washed juices back to you. As a consumer it would make my conscience decision to use Instacart debatable if I knew that an undelivered shopping list is not the responsibility of the delivery company. I feel that Instacart and Kroger should partner to display a visible disclosure statement on both the retail website and the delivery website so that customers may make other arrangements to solve this issue. The Instacart representatives offer no empathy and made no attempt to keep me as a customer when I threatened to "never use their services again." -- Thankfully I too am in the crucial role of customer care and I feel that Instacart can care less about their customers. After escalating to a manager I was told that "nothing can be done" and to just call Kroger and place a new order. After spending a few hours with Kroger customer service I was able to get a credit applied to the new order....HOWEVER Kroger does not apply the credit until after you have again entered your payment details? So I now have yet another $150.00 pending transaction on my bank account and just am hoping somehow it will miraculously be removed and the credit will be applied. I text messaged the newest Instacart shopper only to be rudely told that "they will ask the cashier about the credit but it's all they can do" Well...there goes the crisp $20 I was going to give this unnamed shopper / deliverer just like that. I actually text them back displaying "I'm sorry to bother you" just so I won't worry about them getting further upset for me asking a question. Instacart does not care and neither do their drivers. I will begin my rounds to let everyone else know about my HORRIBLE experience. It's no longer about me and my family. After the experience I had yesterday. I truly want to stop shopping at Kroger any location. I purchased KROGER brand prenatal vitamins at a Kroger about 15 miles away from home along with $160 worth of groceries. It just so happened I purchased my vitamins separately. I did loose my receipt as I shop at Kroger so often that I just through them away, I can't even remember the last time I needed to return anything. My local Kroger less than a mile away (hwy 85 Riverdale GA) manager refused to allow me to exchange because I did not have my receipt. I did not want a refund I simply wanted to exchange for the right Kroger Brand vitamins. Although the purchase was on my Kroger plus card and I tried to show it on my bank statement. An associate attempted to look up my purchase from my Kroger plus # but said she couldn't see the purchase because it was made at a different Kroger location. Literally the only reason I will still shop at any Kroger is for the gas points. As we have a large family and make at least $500 worth of purchases from Kroger each and every month. Which gives us .50 cents off for a fill up. I normally shop at the (hwy 85 Riverdale location so I'm certain the associate could clearly see how much I normally spen over the course of a month). The moment Kroger has a Gas point competitor... I'm out of there. To spend $500 a month anywhere and then refused a $9 exchange is beyond poor customer service. read more
