Only posting to prevent my mistake from happening to you. Ordered a specialty cake one week ahead of time. The next day, I realized I made a mistake in the wording on the cake so I called and spoke to a bakery associate. She took down the new information stating she would make the changes and take care of it. At pick up, the cake was already boxed. Being Publix, I didn't feel the need to look at it. I was sure it was perfect. Well, the employee encouraged me to at least open the top to make sure it's the right cake. So glad I did! That's when I realized a key component of the cake was missing. Thankfully, there was someone in the bakery who could fix the issue. However, that evening when I completely unboxed the cake for the party, I realized the other issues. 1. The error I made and called in to correct, wasn't. 2. The bottom part of the cake was not all as it was supposed to be. The cake I ordered was multi colored with different piping and details. Mine was just all the same frosting and color. 3. The cake itself had flaws throughout the 2 tiers and 4. The board the cake was sitting on was smeared with chocolate frosting that looked like someone tried to wipe off but then gave up. The cake I ordered was $89.99. I gladly paid that price because of the cute details which made the cake. All of which were left off or poorly executed. I did return to Publix the next day with pictures. The Bakery Manager quickly acknowledged the poor execution of what I ordered and offered a full refund. I didn't feel right about a full refund because we still ate and enjoyed the cake. We agreed to half. So moral of the story....PLEASE take the cake completely out of the box before leaving the bakery. No matter how big of a pain it seems to be. And, I would probably pick up a day sooner than needed to have time to fix any issues. read more

So on 10/12/25, I went to Costco originally for a cake, but they did not have what I needed, so I then went to Publix in Tyrone. I knew I should have went to the one in Peachtree City, but Tyrone was near my house. I went to the Bakery to look for a cake and found what I needed. There was no one in the department, however, a gentleman was walking by and we locked eyes, hence why he didn't have any other choice to help. I asked if he could write a name on the cake. The gentleman proceed to say the Bakery was closed (this was at 2:30 PM on 10/12/25). He said he would put the name, but he wasn't an artist. I said that was fine, nothing special needed. After I wrote the correct spelling down, he went to the rear of the area, where his manager I. believe was putting away boxes or product. I heard her say something because he must have went over and told her I needed a name on a cake. After he walked back, he proceeded to mop an area. He then came over to me asking something and I IMMEDIATELY told him, I will go to another Publix. I then put back everything in my car and headed out the door. I could not believe he DID NOT wash his hands or change his gloves. Before I left to go OUT OF MY WAY to yet another Publix, I went to customer service and spoke with the assistant store manager. I was visibly upset. I told him what happened using expletives because I could not believe what TF happened. He then asked if the staff was able to resolve it for me. I looked at him with pure disdain. OF COURSE NOT!! Your store is disgusting! To even think I would have you touch my cake with hands that was just mopping the floor, No way!! Supposedly, he went to address the situation and I left the store. I ended up driving to the Publix in Peachtree City to get what I needed. The young woman , who was packing bred, immediately stopped and asked me what I needed. I told her a name on the cake and she went right to work. Stick with your first instinct!! I cannot believe the Publix in Tyrone did that. I go to the Tyrone Publix LITERALLY every other day. I spend too much money for (1) bad customer service (2) people that value basic common sense and hand hygiene. read more

I want to give this place more stars, it's just that the prices are too high. And I know they are high everywhere, but why is it acceptable for grocery stores to keep making great profits at the expense of the little guy. For the most part the selection is good, but for instance, cilantro shouldn't be three dollars haha . That's just nuts! I am looking at other shopping options currently like farmers markets etc. to try and help curb the spending at the store. There's definitely a huge markup in some areas. That being said, Publix has fresher ingredients than some other stores. They also often have items that some other stores don't. The bakery is also really good at Publix and I definitely love their sandwiches in the deli. Those are a really good deal! I think Publix is a good option for many things, but definitely is on the high end of the price scale, and not always at a comparably higher quality. read more

He's rude and every time i come in there he's taking forever.. giving me his opinion on my sandwich telling me I'm Making his job hard like what i just wanted ranch on my sandwich.. he forgets everything. I was in Peachtree City shopping so I stopped here to get the deal on Scott tissue and pick up some Parsley which I couldn't find in other stores. Wound up doing some B1G1 free items. Always a pleasure. Love the circular loading zone off to the side of the store. This is one of the bigger stores so people are never on top of each other. Stress free shopping experience. read more

Pretty well managed with moderate lines even at rush hour. Checkout folks were nice. This store is on the smaller side. Always enjoy a quick PubSub which you can get with Boars Head meat. Biggest issue here is the parking lot which has poor flow and isn't the easiest to manuever. Convenient for getting on/off the highway on the way home though. read more

I always have a very pleasant experience at this location. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. However this last experience I was displeased. I am a first time mom. I ordered my baby a birthday cake for his first birthday. At the party all his family wanted to know where the smash cake was starting Publix and Walmart give them to u free when u order a cake. I didn't know. It's not advertised anywhere not did anyone mention it when I picked up the cake. The gentleman in the bakery told me he could not do anything to help me. When I spoke to the store manager he was very friendly and had the bakery staff fix me a cake. I was supposed to pick the cake Sunday at noon. Unforeseen circumstances came up so I went Monday at 11am. The cake was thrown away since I didn't come Sunday. Not even 24 hours later. She did offer to remake it, but I declined. read more

The staff here are so friendly! I enjoy shopping the store. When I have questions they always help me solve my dilemmas. I go here over Kroger. I also enjoy their sushi selection for quick meals. The produce is fresh and the beer and wine options are great too. The plaza is nice so that helps too! read more

This by far the most well run and friendly Publix I know of. Just as a challenge try to walk through the store with out each and every employee you encounter not giving you a friendly hello and ask if they can help you. The check out lanes are just about never crowded and they will always open more if needed. Mike the manager can always be found on the floor working to keep store in tip top shape. I had the worst experience at this Publix today around 4:15pm.I went in to purchase some Teriyaki sauce and was only able to find the marinade. I proceed to look for some help. I found a young man who was restocking the shelves. I asked the young man to help me find the Teriyaki sauce. He proceed to go help me and he was stopped by another customer who needed help as well. The young man then stopped and turn to me and said I will be right back let me help this customer. Not only was this act unacceptable!!!! I felt disrespected and discriminated against. This is the second act of discrimination at the location. I came back because the manager at that time was very apologetic and gave me and my family our items for free. The manager today wasn't very empathetic at all. It's like he heard me but didn't hear me. To top this off I went to the customer service desk to cash in one of my lottery tickets and the rep put my cash on the counter instead of saying ma'am here you go. This entire experience has put a bad taste in my mouth and I will never shop the Publix again. read more

Could we give them 10 stars? This store is absolutely the sweetest little Publix you will find. The produce section-excellent! Prepared foods -- very tasty and reasonable. Be prepared to wait in line at the deli on Sundays and Mondays for the roasted and fried chickens. It becomes very competitive with customers getting out of Sunday services or getting out of work in the evenings. I've even requested products I couldn't find, and the store makes arrangements to get the product inside the store. They offer great sales, and the employees there are always cheery and friendly. It's obviously a great place to work, which makes it a great place to shop. Also, I love that they leave flexibility to open additional registers if the lines become 3 people deep. This is responsiveness to customers' needs and respect for their time. My college child's only regret when she went to college was that she was leaving the region where Publix stores were located and she misses our neighborhood store greatly. read more

I love my neighborhood Publix! Everyone has been so happy and helpful! I usually find everything I need at Public and I love the DC!!! The BOGO is also a very good reason for me to do a lot of my shopping at Public. Anytime, I have had a issue with a purchase, it's been handled with no questions asked. I love it!!! Pubix is our go to when we are new to an area because it usually pretty consistent. This one is no exception, the deli was a bit busy and there was a line but everyone was so nice. It was obvious no one was slacking it was just a busy time and they were amazing. As always!!! read more

Publix in Tyrone GA, 1512 Highway 74 N Tyrone, GA 3029 near Peachtree city where I just moved... I bought Peruvian Lillies paid $4.95 and the were bent when I took them out of the wrapper. I paid $7 for a egg,bacon, and pea salad and it looked like someone had put it in the freezer and got it back out to sell it. I do not know if I will buy produce or deli items from this store again as I pass it everyday coming from my job. read more

I had the best experience at this publix Sunday . I was walking by the seafood counter when I heard Sean talking to a regular customer about crab legs and how to prepare them . He spoke so delightfully about the crab legs and the lobster tails were on sale . I as only there to pick up broth for a soup I was making. I wanted crab legs and lobster tails after hearing Sean talk so favorably about them. I was a bit intimidated because I had only bought both a few times and wasn't quite sure how to prepare them. He must've noticed my reluctance because he softly guided through my purchase and suggested a few selections and provided me with the knowledge on how to prepare them and he selected a great wine to accompany my selection. There was a beautiful woman who was also ordering crab legs. I was stunned by her beauty. I gave him my card and asked that the next time he saw her to give her my number . He said " you've got 3 minutes to your crab legs are ready . " I walked up front and found her checking out. I told her how beautiful I thought she was and gave her my card. I hope she calls but Sean gave me the best customer service I've experienced in quite some time. I just left, hungry. I really wanted a sub and I selected my pick up time. I get to the store ten minutes past my pick up time and it takes forever just to get someone to acknowledge me. When I finally get her attention. She informed me that they didn't start on my sub yet and they don't have my type of bread. They had my phone number to call me. Very disappointed. read more

Super friendly staff. As I was oogling their produce, their employees across the room asked me how I was doing. Their produce is fantastic. Though many people may not be purchasing habanero peppers or random ethnic vegetables, they still carrying them. Plus, their magazine section is huge. I definitely will miss Publix when I leave the Southeast. read more

I love shopping here! Grocery shopping is my most hated chore but shopping publix makes it much more tolerable. Their prices are a bit higher than krogers and walmart but the experience is worth it. Besides with a little couponing and shopping their weekly sales you won't notice a difference in your food bill! read more
