Kroger Pharmacy on 1097 & I-45 System Down Again ‼‼ I'm writing to express my frustration with the continued system outages at the Kroger pharmacy on 1097 & I-45. Today, I was in severe pain due to a herniated disc and a pinched nerve, and my doctor called in a prescription for me. I received a text notification stating it was ready for pickup, but when I arrived, I was told the entire system was down, and they had no estimate for when it would be back up. Because my doctor's office had already closed, I had no way to transfer my prescription elsewhere. This situation was not only inconvenient but completely avoidable. A simple mass text alerting customers about the system failure could have saved me, and many others, a wasted trip and unnecessary stress. I wasn't the only one affected. When I went to CVS to try to get my prescription filled there, the staff mentioned they had already seen at least eight customers in a panic because of the shutdown. I can only imagine how frustrating this was, especially for elderly patients who rely on their medications. This is not the first time this has happened, and I hope Kroger takes immediate steps to address these ongoing issues. At the very least, better communication with customers should be a priority. read more

My wife went shopping at Kroger, being honest, at 69 she moves are her own pace. So, she grabs a bottle of water, FROM HOME, before she leaves and puts it in her purse. (you can probably see what's coming). After getting around $400 worth of groceries, she was ready to check out. The person checking her out ACTUALLY MADE HER scan her almost empty bottle of water SHE BROUGHT IN THE STORE an HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE SHE GOT TO THE STORE. I have to be honest here... the next day, she complained and got her money back. HOWEVER, my Mother taught me a very LONG time ago, you don't get a REWARD for doing the right thing. This person, my wife of 30 YEARS, is LITERALLY the nicest, most honest, God fearing person you could ever want to meet, and she was treated this way. I get it... I have seen all the videos on YouTube of all the "shoplifting" but stopping elderly women, who CLEARLY are not hiding the water, it was almost gone, so she had it awhile, it was CLEAR she didn't get it in the store. Will my wife still go back there? OF COURSE SHE WILL... you know why? Because she is kind, forgiving, and understanding. I, HOWEVER, AM NOT. Very poor customer service. This location uses a system to check you writing a check called certegy. They turn you down for what ever reason but you can't call or get to company to find out why . It is an insult to you . Nothing from manger or anyone from Kroger. If you try to call Certegy you get a computer that wants data from you that No One should give! read more

I enjoy shopping at Kroger but they are tricky when it comes to the ads they advertise. Things you need to be aware of. If you try to clip a coupon while in the store at Willis you can't 99.9 percent of the time no internet connection available. They tell me to clip all coupons before arriving to shop. I think that's crazy but whatever. Also watch the sale labels they place out right before the ad changes. Always check your receipt before you leave the store. If a price is incorrect go to the courtesy booth they will correct it. 99.9% of customers will not do this its very time consuming. And Kroger knows this. So if you go in thinking you'r going to get all these deals they advertise CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. I think the App is very unfriendly. LOTS OF RESTRICTIONS. read more

I had two prescriptions sent in by my doctor and they kept telling me they didn't have them. Which was total bs because the doctor said they should have gotten them the same day as being sent. I'm pregnant and really needed those prescriptions. The service here is always terrible, they need to work on their customer skills. Especially at the self checkout. Everyone who works there always seems in a bad mood. This is why I only go to HEB and Aldi and I will never return to Kroger. They only had me coming back because they had good coupons sometimes and now that doesn't even matter. Doesn't matter if my prescriptions cost a little more somewhere else, I will not be going back. I have usually been pleased with Kroger, but yesterday some people in my family went to buy some things. A lot of coupons were downloaded on the app. Somehow they were overcharged 65 dollars. The manager, cashier, and somehow the BAGGER got in their face and got rude with them over the dispute. I used to love this Kroger, this was my store 3-4 times a week but tonight was one of the worst store experiences of my life. Arthurine at the self checkout has major anger issues and a horrible attitude. I had experienced her rash and bad customer service before but not to the point of bothering to make a review about it. Her attitude rubs off on a newer checkout clerk Mya which at one point both started shouting condescendingly at me because I asked if there was a supervisor or someone higher up that could help with a situation. The "friendly & safe" Kroger went out the door. Arthurine was aggressive, she lost her mind and "shouted she wasn't dealing with me" with rage having a mental breakdown of some sort. It was quite alarming, I thought she was going to attack me at any moment. Connie was kind but it was evident she felt threatened by the two I mentioned. So sad to think of the work environment they must create with Arthurines anger issues, bad attitude and bad example to peers. read more

Seemed like after HEB opened they got their act together for a moment. Now it's back to business as usual. Employees standing around pitching about their jobs instead of helping the lady at the self check out (because they only have 1 lane open otherwise). No carts when you come in but a parking lot full of them everywhere. Kroger has forgotten that their real customers don't live on Wallstreet, they live in the little communities all over the country. Huge upgrade from the former Kroger and love the gas prices. There are multiple entrances including a semi obscure/secret one by the Starbucks. Super convenient. There are a few items you can't find in their fresh bulk section such as the almonds I get in Houston, but overall happy w food selection. This is also a Mega Kroger so they had furniture at one time. They have changed that section out to clothing- they have a ton! Lived all over USA and where there's Krogers you usually get a consistent level of service. Not this one. Probably spend $10K a year here..., not anymore. About every 3 -4 months you simply get dissed or see employees at the front by their "customer service" area literally facing the corner wall on their phones. Yesterday I saw as their door(s) to the refrigerator sections are constantly open (defective springs). I'm constantly closing. Or the folks in pharmacy tell you they can't return the $92 laxative (unopened in Kroger bag w/ receipt attached - nothing had been touched) it's against the law. BUT then tells you, "well you bought it last month". So is it against the law and you WOULD have returned if it was 3 weeks ago!? The selection here is pretty limited compared to other Kroger stores too. Worst Kroger in USA and they are in one of the fastest growing areas in USA. All I wanted was an American flag to put up for the 4 of July. Asked a worker possibly a manager where to find them. He said that they were seasonal but he hadn't seen any. I asked where they would be if they did have some... he got so irritated that I asked. It was as if he was offended that I wanted to look. He said well if you have to look the seasonal stuff is up front but it's been on sale for a week. I had someone with me who was astonished at how he acted. I will not step foot into this store again. Warning! Unsafe bagger. Personally saw a bagger not properly clean their hands after utilizing the incredibly unclean male restroom. The bare minimum for washing hands is 20 seconds with 105 degree water and using soap for at least 15 seconds lathering your hands with soup. Said named bagger sprinkled his hands for about 3 seconds got some soap and washed it off immediately after. I am not sure if he would have even washed his hands if I wasn't there. He came out and happened to be the bagger for my line, at which time I told him we would bag ourselves. We are food caterers and personal hygiene is absolutely important when handling food even when packaged. Will not return to this location. read more

Love this Kroger! They recently started the scan and go program where you take a scanner and walk the store with it, scan your items, bag them and then automatically pay at the front. Pretty amazing way to shop!! Store is always clean, staff helpful read more

The first thing I noticed after sauntering through the doors of this Kroger is how big it is. It has clothes, houseware, and groceries. Then, I saw how much the employees care about the customer. I was two hours into my drive from Galveston to Dallas and needed a bathroom break. I asked an employee, "Where is the bathroom?" She stopped what she was doing and walked me through the aisles and the main floor to a place where I could see the sign. I picked up a banana, two apples, and a bottle of water. I walked over to the deli checkout register where Marcos was training employees and helping an older gentleman buy a cooked chicken. Marcos asked the man if he needed plates or silverware. I thought that was considerate. Next, it was my turn. Marcos rung up my transaction. Afterward, I asked if he could wash the apples so I could eat them on the drive home. I know - this is an unusual request! He got gloves and washed the two apples so I could eat them on the road. Wow - you don't get that kind of service at a grocery store. Great location and STARBUCKS!! Good prices. Employees are sometimes hard to find. Check out was as fast as any other store. EXCELLENT selection of foods and non perishable products. I'm not sure what's going on with this store anymore. Their produce has become not so fresh, and they are always out of stock on items. Oh and carts scattered throughout the parking lot and not one inside. They have implemented their online order system, and one my think how convenient. Well let me be the first to say; their order pullers don't know what they are looking for. Either they can't find it or they substitute. I can literally go in the store and put my hands on items they say they couldn't find it out of stock price on. The seafood department prices are higher than HEB and not near as fresh. I used to love this Kroger. I was out of town for awhile and came back to a totally different store! My number one complaint - they took away the organic and natural food isle. This is literally why I chose them over HEB! I hate the organic stuff throughout the store now. And wow - why the huge increase in alcohol? Does Kroger expect the new community being built here to bring a ton of drinkers? Are they trying to compete with the new Specs down the road? The self checkouts have gotten much smaller. I guess I'll be standing in line more often as not many groceries will fit on them now. Last week I was shopping with my two girls two and under, basket full of things. Unloaded my basket and all that. The cashier "Hana" didn't say a word to me the entire time, not a hello or a how are you. The bagger stopped bagging half way through and walked about. What was that about?! Don't worry, I stood there and waited for someone to come bag since they're PAID to do that. Went back to the store yesterday and noticed a line was empty while people were standing in long lines. do not purchase a gift card from kroger. if the card can not be registered as it is stated in the back of the card, kroger will not replace the card. m.card says that the card has been stated as fraud even though i have the card in my hand. kroger will not replace the card and m. card says that it will take approximate 10-14 days to replace the card, or who knows even longer, because of the holidays. i have spent more than 2 hours going back and forth with kroger and m.card and nothing is accomplished. read more

I live in the area and have been very pleased with the people, the service and the product selection since Kroger came to Willis (I have been a loyal Kroger customer for decades). Most of the employees (my favorite meat guy, Marco in the bakery, Ms. Lucy in the deli, the pharmacy and the checkout personnel) are so friendly and provide exceptional customer service. However, since COVID, the Willis location has not lived up to expectations. I understand customers in Texas are not required to wear masks but the Kroger policy DOES require employees (and encourages customers) to wear masks during this time. I shop at this location once a week (for years) and am seriously concerned about the employees not adhering to policy, particularly in food service!!! The personnel at the deli, the bakery, the meat department, the vendors that offer free samplings, all should have masks on! I have asked management twice now to enforce the policy and each week I find the same employees without masks. Please address this or I will take my $200 / week to Costco, Trader Joes, HEB or others. And the HEB competition is coming to Willis soon. read more

Holy smokes, rude staff! Found money, and the attendant ripped it out of my daughter's hand. There are never enough cashiers. They put in the self checkout, raised prices, and now provide less service. I always see a tall girl walking around, perhaps a manager, and she doesn't do a thing! Selection of product has been reduced. The cashiers, as few as there are, typically act like they want to be anywhere other than at the register. The people bagging groceries usually are putting their hands on the face, nose, and/or hair of their person. Gross! Parking lot always full of carts. I find little reason to shop here. read more

Today is Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 9:00AM at the Willis Kroger's. People are very friendly and helpful with guidance in the new floor plan, Thank you. I am writing because the following are recurrent problems affecting customers. A long standing problem with this Kroger's are the carts not being routinely collected from the parking lot. This AM my parking spot was determined by where the carts were not. Next, I had quite a few toiletries to buy but that whole section which included these products and the huge isle to the dairy products was closed off for floor cleaning (9am). So I went to do the rest of my shopping and returned to this area 45 min. later and it was stilled roped off. So my toiletries have to wait for another trip to another store. So, whatever, the managers could suggest to help rectify these issues, I would appreciate read more

I found the customer service here to be 50/50 in terms of helpfulness and availability. It too me 10 minutes to find someone I could ask a question about stock and where I could find something. And, when I finally did; they told me to go to the wrong location. read more

Really good wine prices, and the store-brand Moose Tracks ice cream is CRAAAAAZY delicious. Food prices seem just a little over the area average, so I don't do my grocery shopping here, but I go here when we need, you know, wine and ice cream. read more
