Rita ( I believe she is the owner ) was nice enough to quickly sit me down and talk over what work needed to be done to my hair. A simple colour correction was talked about. (Highlights and two toners) She raved about how easy it was to correct and to check out her instagram page as she has corrected a ton of girls hair... I was so pleased I found a salon to take me right before NYE as I know it's a busy time of year for hairdressers. I also visited her instagram page and was pleased with her work. TWO days before my scheduled appointment I got a call with Rita cancelling the entire appointment saying she ran into some issues and had to cancel. Not only did she cancel way to last minute for me to find another salon right before NEW YEARS EVE! But she didn't even find another stylist at the salon to complete the job, telling me no other girl wanted to "touch my hair because it was too damaged" .....*NOTE* Nobody else from that salon saw my hair during the consultation BUT Rita. I've never had this happen to me before and this is extremely unprofessional. I would like to say I'll never return here again, but I never even got the chance to become a client. LOL This is completely improper and negligent on a salon owners behalf.

Backstory: I've gone to 2-3 hair salons in the recent couple of months in search of a new go to for managing my thick, wavy, heavy... sometimes curly hair. Each time, I was not happy within a week of walking out of the salon. Within a couple of weeks of the last salon experience, I was searching Yelp for another salon to try when I came across Hair Zzaplon's reviews, website, etc. I was intrigued by Kim's philosophy and I-come-to-you concept. So what they hey, lets try this thing. The Kim experience started a couple of days before our appointment. Via text and email we discussed the various pros and cons of the different hairstyles I was tempted to attempt. In the end, by the time of our appointment - I was 100% sure what I wanted to do. In that time, Kim was a fantastic resource telling me what she recommended based on a photo I sent to her as well as giving me all the options and not being pushy or opinionated when I wavered. She is incredibly knowledgeable on hair color as well and can recommend paths to maintenance! So day of - Kim arrived carrying two massively heavy looking boxes & a vacuum cleaner. She cut my hair in the kitchen and made sure I was happy with the end result. I was happy. I'm still happy. I'll be calling her again when I'm due for my next haircut. Thank you Kim!

My make-up looked beautiful and I had loads of compliments about it all day. Daniela even gave me my own tube of touch-up gloss to go, so that I could keep myself looking fresh all day. She has a great set up with fabulous lighting and she did my make-up in a beautiful, natural look. She's also a very warm person and great conversationalist, even managed to make me forget I was getting married in several hours and I felt quite calm after. Thanks Daniela!!
