Today I'm checking my bank account and see a auto payment withdraw of $410.00. I called this broker facility to see what it for, spoke to rep....rep advised me that this charge was the for the renewal. Hmmmm strange never had to pay renewal before....so rep phones the insurance company and per rep she claims that the insurance advised that they do charge for the full year at once and no month to month anymore and if we would like a refund then we can start looking for another company. She then gave us the phone number of the insurance directly which we phoned and was advised that yes the paying up front for the whole year was a new policy update. However the coverage was just for liability.....when I asked about the uninsured motorist part the representative advised that we no longer had that since October 2013. So all this time we were paying for uninsured motorist and were not covered for it. And when we asked Starmax why our policy was changed they didn't have an answer. And then wanted to charge us $50 just to add that uninsured motorist. When we never requested to take it off in the first place. And in top of that, when we spoke to Call Center, she said that since the day one my license was never on their file only my wife's but we were still paying for 2 drivers 2 cars uninsured motorist, but we never had that coverage.
