Perfect and unique Katy Trail refreshment stop in Dutzow, Missouri. Located in a real trail caboose, this place is sure to delight and rider. By car it's a little harder to locate down a gravel driveway.... but a short distance off the Katy Trail. Internet and cell coverage is spotty at best here, so your phone gps directions may not get you here.

Best food I've had in a while, great service and great food. The burger was amazing and so was the mayor, a friend of mine got the falafel wrap and said it was great too!!!

We were so lucky to have spotted this Little Gem along the Katy Trail. The KT Caboose is in Marthaville, MO. We had been riding the trail for couple of days in sections. We found it difficult to find healthy food choices. The owner handmade our vegan sandwiches and even pulled fresh basil from his own plant. I do not do that many reviews, I save it for the great places. This is a great place, give it a try, a true local person, building his own business.

Belgium Waffle made in a cast iron pan. Yummy.

The cutest little place with such a kind owner! This is a great place to grab a healthy bite to eat if you're biking the Katy trail.

Fresh food and friendly owner makes this a must stop along the Katy Trail! The Caprese Wrap for dinner was exactly what I needed.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming each time I have visited and overall feeling you can spend all day in this place and feel at home. I came today to try their coffee flights. Then theme was St Patrick's. They are small which is perfect because anything bigger would've sent me flying on the sugar! Each drink was different and thoughtful. The flavors blended well with the coffee. I would've liked to have tasted more of the coffee but I have no complaints. This round of flights was tasty with my favorite being the Lucky Charms which tasted like they infused cereal milk into the drink and the Clover with white chocolate, peppermint and vanilla with that striking green hue. They change their flights often, so give them a follow on FB and Instagram to keep up with what they have next.

I had a Dirty Chai, which I really loved: espresso, chai spice and steamed milk. It was just the right sweetness. The building used to house a hat factory and they have examples of them above the doorway to the restrooms, which were clean and bright, like the rest of the place. Just kind of a cool place all around, and like I said, definitely would go back again! Close to the Amtrak station and the riverfront, and in the historic area of downtown Washington.

The place is relaxing, a bit eclectic in the classiest way, and just comfortable. Seats about 24 inside with a patio for... 25? in the back. The brick patio was covered only by a pergola, so not weather proof. Ham, cheese & egg croissant was lovely! I felt like it could have used a tomato jam or something - something to offer some acidity to the mix. The Covered Wagon (a breakfast burrito, smothered in gravy) was very good! We both agreed it needed spice or more seasoning. My husband added lots of pepper and some Tabasco sauce (that's the only sauce they had available, plus salt and pepper). Wonderful way to start your day! (They also serve lunch.) Wed-Sat 7am-3pm Sun 8am-2pm May 2026

The cafe: You can choose to eat in the café or their event space. I ordered the adult grilled cheese with the sausage, potato, and kale soup. The grilled cheese was good but the soup was delicious! It was packed with flavor. I also ordered the Peony to drink- lavender lemonade and strawberry cold foam. Very very good! I liked it so much that I got one to go along with a lavender infused chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was OK, it needed more moisture. Kudos for the lavender not being overpowering to where you're essentially eating a laundry pod. The shop: the shop has many natural made products such as soaps, cuticle oil, sprays and the like. There are many lavender infused items of course. I bought a soap and lavender fudge brownie mix. Can't wait to bake.
