This is a great location brunch spot in town. There was a lot of parking. There was no wait and we had immediate seating. I got the rancheros skillet. It was declious and spicy. The rancheros sauce added a great addition to the dish. I wish there was mor seasoning on the chicken. The service was fast and friendly. Overall, it was a good place and curious to try the other dishes

This place has had many names, but it's now breakfast and brunch place. We came here for breakfast after a flight and the menu had a Mexican twist to it. Right after we were seated, we all were given a bread pasta that had cinnamon sugar on top. It was so fluffy and delicious! I ordered huevos divorciados and they were very good. My kiddo ordered that fruity tacos which were just fruity pancakes, but it made her breakfast way more fun. Another cool add to this restaurant was that they added a little kiddie corner. There's a chalk board, crayons and paper for the kiddos to go and play. Great idea for those kiddos that can't sit still W

Sometime you happen upon a great place by mistake! Original plan had a very long wait so we tried this for a Sunday breakfast. Walked right in to this bright and very spotless restaurant and was shown to our table immediately. This is a large venue with many tables and booths. There is also a kid area that I wish I would have looked at (check out the pic). Ordered the usually coffee and a Benedict breakfast. This was served quickly, was hot and had good flavor. The menu included items that I hope to try in the future. This was a very affordable breakfast and also large servings.

The place was pretty busy especially for lunch on a Sunday. The service was okay but it took a little longer since it was packed. Food itself was okay, the home fries weren't cooked that well though. But the portion was pretty big. Maybe I'll try the other food next time.

We visited Sunrise Ranch on a Sunday morning. Upon pulling into the parking lot we were a little nervous that we would have to wait for a table because it looked busy!! Turns out, they were busy but there is ample seating inside. We opted to sit at the bar bc it was just the 2 of us but we wouldn't have had to wait for a table if we wanted to be seated. First, the interior is so gorgeous. Fashioned to look like the inside of a cool western barn. No details were left out. It was beautiful! Second. The Breakfast margaritas were AMAZING! Sitting at the bar we got a firsthand look at how they are made. And I was SHOCKED in the best way to see the bartender using a juice press to fresh press the juices that go into the margarita. Literally amazed. So impressed. The food was also delicious! I love that they have a great menu variety. There's a great option on the menu for anyone. I have already recommended this place to so many friends! I just wish they were open later into the evening so I could enjoy some more margs later in the day - lol.

    Birria tacos

Sunrise Ranch is one of our favorite spots in Wentzville. The birria tacos are to die for, but even their breakfast menu items are both delicious and pretty to look at. I've had the churro pancakes, the fruit pancake tacos, and their fresh squeezed orange juice for a more breakfast like option, but the birria tacos are always my go to because they are juicy, flavorful, and so filling. You have to go! The staff is so nice every time we come in, and that's usually in a bigger group. Despite the party size, they are always fast and efficient. If you have little ones, there's a small area for them to play in!

The food is a pleasant mix of American and Mexican dishes, and is very good, and reasonably priced. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. It's a fairly large place that can easily accommodate large groups. They close at 3 pm, so they serve breakfast and lunch.

We started our breakfast with a fresh cup of coffee and they came around with cinnamon buns. My partner had two! We ordered the ranchero skillet, that was flavorful and definitely spicy. We had the biscuits and gravy and pancakes. Both were good, but nothing special. We enjoyed breakfast very much and definitely recommend any of the southwest inspired items!

    I'm had the street tacos!

An odd sign in the entry notes that are no longer accepting their previously issued gift certificates (wait, so you took money for these and are no longer honoring them?), but it didn't impact me. The food was where things went south. It took 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. I ordered the namesake Tattooed Dog, as I've had it before. It arrived with onion rings... 4 of them, from medium down to small. The dog was mostly warm (not hot), but withered like it had been cooking for a while. The meat was placed atop chili that was cold... cold enough to rob the warmth from some spots of the dog. The bun was a soggy mess, and none of the cheese was melted, so it couldn't have been under the heat lamp. It looked fanciful when served, but it was very underwhelming eating compared to past experiences. My wife had the chicken wrap, served with French fries. In a day and age when competitors give out fries like they need to clear an overstocked situation, it was a small handful that would normally be found in a Happy Meal from the famous clown. The wrap itself was shy on the chicken, and heavy on the dressing inside. What used to be a nice place, appears to be sliding downhill, as if the kitchen has given up. If they've checked out, so have we.

We both tried the old fashioned and instantly regretted it. It was pink and tasted harsh. That being said, their food was good and the place was filled with families and groups of friends enjoying themselves. We tried a couple of burgers, fries and a side salad. The fries were really good - definitely worth ordering! The side salad was fresh and a nice option to have with their sandwiches. Overall, we would return for the food, but avoid the cocktails!

The inside is the same layout from when it was originally grotto grill with booths lining one wall and tables in the other side. I was bummed to find out they were only serving regular margs and only in single plastic cups for the day as I probably would've went elsewhere. The margaritas were not full pours (including with ice) and batch made which was disappointing. I would've rather paid more to have the flavor and size I wanted. For food we ordered the chicken quesadilla, carne asada tacos, and the quesabirria. I think it's weird that the quesabirria doesn't come with a side of rice & beans so you have to order them separately if you want them. Overall the food was good! I highly recommend the quesabirria it's the most flavorful and well proportioned I've had in the area so far! Once we got our food our waitress seemed to disappear. We finished eating and waited an additional almost 10 minutes before being able to stop a random server to ask for boxes and the check. This meant we were unable to order more drinks and if we did have an issue, would not have been able to get it fixed. They also gave out free shirts if you spend so much money on that day so I thought that was a unique and fun parting gift! I'll be back in on a regular day to try their margaritas because you can't truly know if it's your new fav without good drinks to go with the food!

It is a cute shop with friendly staff and they were knowledgeable about what they offered. I got a maple Bacon donut which was amazing! Truly the best Maple Bacon donut I have ever had. Also a raspberry pistachio which was also delicious. The donuts were the same except the toppings but they aren't heavy cake donuts. They were light and airy and broke apart easily kind of like a cinnamon roll. I had the top part with the toppings and dipped the bottom in their maple dip. The dip was delicious but the donuts were coated in a sugar... not a glaze but granulated sugar so if dip is not your thing you would still have a nice sweet donut throughout. I also got the Mango passion refresher which was so good. What amazed me though was my mother who isn't a fan of sweet things even liked the cinnamon donut she got. That says a lot to me because she is picky lol. Also the staff was friendly enough to give a mini donut to sample and that was extremely kind and I Chan say the minis are just as delicious as the full sized donuts.
