I have an event planner who I was sending the options to and she was super impressed by the owner's talent for picking out the right hanboks for the vibe. Last minute, we decided to rent hanboks for our entire family, and the owner was more than accommodating the last minute change and short time frame for the potential alterations that needed to be done. The owner hand selected mine, my husband's and our daughter's hanbok to compliment our son's without taking the spotlight from him. Upon discussion, we learned that she designed and made about 80% of her collection! She truly is a talent! The pricing was comparable to other hanbok rentals, which included accessories for the birthday boy, alterations (if needed), and steam/iron the garments. She was able to give us a bundle deal which beat buying hanboks for everyone! I couldn't recommend this place more to anyone wanting to rent hanboks. I called a few places beforehand to search for hanbok rentals for me and my baby girl's dohl. I went with Meehee hanbok in the past, but their prices were astronomical at 2-3x the rate higher than the standard rentals. They became too high end for me. I really wanted to wear a hanbok for my elopement photos to honor my family but didn't know if rentals were really a thing. Found Kuak's hanbok on Yelp and so glad I did! After calling around to various shops I decided to book an appointment to see what my options were. Pricing was just slightly less than the K-Town options but driving to OC is way less stressful for me so off I went. I haven't worn a hanbok since I was a toddler so I was a little nervous going into the appointment. The hanbok I rented was the highest of the price range ($150-$300 rental fee which includes cleaning) she gave over the phone and at the start of the appointment BUT it makes sense since it's a modern style hanbok. The more traditional style/colors are on the lower end of the price range. A deposit of half the rental fee was due to book the rental and the other half due at pickup. My family was shocked to see my elopement photos and that I chose to wear a hanbok for a portion of the photos. I'm so glad I found Kuak's Hanbok. Communication was a little difficult as my Korean is not great and I can't read or write in Korean. Our verbal communication was a lot easier but Google translate really came in handy for our text communication. read more

Rented the hanbok here for myself and my mother in law. Got so many compliments on it at my wedding. I did have to go with my mother in law and fiancée because her English isn't very good. Do make an appointment before coming. She will let you rent for 5 days. I was measured for the sleeves and with my heels to make sure it fit properly. All I can say is wow! We flew down, one day trip from Seattle to Anaheim and back. The first and only time we have ever done so, however with a wedding that was coming up. I desperately wanted to wear a Hanbok for my cake cutting. It's the same picture my mom has at her wedding and I truly wanted that same look. What I got was beyond anything I could have imagined and then some. My mom also ordered one, even though she was not sure if she wanted one or not, but I'm SO GLAD she did! I wanted to wear hanbok for my small wedding celebration lunch with friends and family so I started looking only to find out it costs thousands of dollars to buy beautiful modern hanbok dresses. So I quickly looked to rent on yelp. I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. Since it was so close to my work and every other hanbok stores were far away in LA (which I am NOT down for the drive -__-) I went in not even a week before my celebration lunch but she was so accommodating and got it hemmed to my size and everything just in few days. My price range was around $150-$250 and she was very accommodating to that as well. She suggest handful of hanboks for me to try and asked for theme of my lunch, if I was a guest or the bride, anybody else who might be wearing hanbok to see if color match, etc etc. She is very detailed and accommodating. I told her I wanted pastel toned hanbok and she recommended me the perfect one! She recommended me to try other ones but I fell in love with her first suggestion so I was out of there in less than 30 minutes lol. It is cash only and you need to deposit some money when ordering. She's not too fluent in English so it would be helpful to bring a Korean speaking friend (if needed) She was just really sweet, friendly, accommodating. Beautiful children's hanbok!! I unexpectedly needed a hanbok when I realized my daughter had outgrown hers. We usually buy ours in Korea and I had no idea where to get a child's hanbok at the last minute. I was so lucky to find this shop!
