Not happy at all with my daughter's new teachers. Hardly any updates on the parents apps. My daughter's new sleep matt was ruined by another child. Don't know why some of these teachers are man handling these children's. You are in the wrong profession if you can't handle toddlers not even me will i grab my child the way i see some of these teachers do. My daughter's previous teachers were very sweet. I've bit my tongue for too long with this place.

There is no accountability whatsoever from upper management and no continuity of care with the assistant teachers who rotate around. Terrible body and verbal language from the staff towards children. I have witnessed yelling and rough handling the children from the staff and there were too many incidents that should have been avoided. Which leads to the fact that they do not have functional cameras all around the facility. Even after a terrible incident another child went through, they could not account for it with video footage nor take accountability. I sure hope they installed cameras by now but wouldn't be surprised if they still didn't. It is simply appalling that they are nationally accredited and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. My only regret is not pulling her out sooner and I am leaving this review for the sake of the children who are still in their care. PLEASE IMPROVE FOR THE CHILDREN. If you do not love taking care of them, please do everyone a favor and get another job. I feel COMPELLED to leave this review especially after just a month at her new school, my daughter is completely back to her happy self and thriving. At Kamaaina Kids, she had terrible tantrums as soon as I picked her up from school. She just wasn't herself because she was not being heard and surrounded in that negativity. She always had a runny nose and was constantly sick on and off and had unchanged diapers one too many times when I picked her up. It breaks my heart thinking about it but we are just so grateful to be out of there at a much better place filled with staff who simply care and love children. It feels as if we woke up from a terrible nightmare, except it wasn't a dream. We can't take back these terrible few months here but hope this review can help propel a positive change for the children who are still in their care.

Why do I feel like an infomercial? ) I swear teachers never sleep, cause updates are between 10pm and 5am. Thank a teacher cause they help shape the future better then some parents. After reading this, I should attend the upcoming PTA meeting. Weekly as parents, our son get a homework assignment sheets. For us Navy folk, very similar to the POW for homework. There is also a monthly reminder/upcoming events sheet. I like this idea cause it helps me plan for events I would like to attend, in this case the last Ohana Fair. This event is an annual fair held on school grounds. It's a great time for kids and for parents to socialize with other parents. The teachers are out and about but mostly concentrating on running the booth. You don't come here for the food, you come for the stories and smiles. TIP: If you go to the annual Fair, parking is limited. Walk or ride a bike to the place. And if you drive, slow down for the small keikis because we know they like to run out between parked cars. Although parking lot is one-way, it provides good (and safer) traffic flow and less school congestion. A/C buildings (except cafeteria), ample industrial bike racks in different areas, water fountain with bottle-filling station, all aspects of the school are very clean and well-maintained. I have zero complaints about their education system either. My son hasn't struggled (to the point of exhaustion) and fight me on homework. His teacher is always available to provide extra help should he need it. Lots of field trips allows students to gain knowledge outside of school property and create more fun memories. We love the security of the location - within Iroquois Point neighborhood where you have to go through a security gate to enter. It gave us peace of mind knowing our son was somewhere safe. He attended 2 times a week for 3 hours a day and we just loved the program. There were about 12 students in his class and two teachers, a great student/teacher ratio. His teachers were so sweet, kind, and communicative during the entire year. They use the Brightwheel app to send us pictures of our kids during the school day, send home important reminders, etc. Communication with them was top notch and we never had a problem reaching them with questions we had. They had several field trips including the pumpkin patch, the goat farm, and a fire truck visit. He still talks about all of those experiences! My son learned to recognize the letters in his name, write his name with help, count, say the pledge of allegience, and more. He has grown so much in just a year. At the end of the year, they sent home a beautiful portfolio of all of their work broken down by month or theme. It was so sweet a wonderful parting gift.
