We looked at a few of Carpet One's remnants, thanked our salesperson, Tracy Rokosz, and began to walk out. Tracy casually mentioned that she might have something that would fit our needs. She showed us a sample of beautiful large carpet remnant that was being stored downstairs. It was perfect, a great color,and the price was amazing! Now, we're using the remnant for two bedrooms. But the result was much more, the variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, (some bearing berries for birds) is the envy of the entire neighborhood. The plants have matured into a planned "painting" of contrasting foliage. My experience is that money spent outside of the house goes further than remodel money spent inside...maybe it is the "alive" thing that plants have. Most soils im sure are pulverized when damp, leaving clumps and other undesirable contaminants, and offer little nutriant rich material. This stuff is compost black.
