We came all the way from Camarillo to this dress shop for my daughters prom dress for 2 reasons. The first being that Kira (spelling?) was so sweet and helpful, something I wasn't getting at any other stores I had called. The 2nd reason was because they actually carry dresses in the store that aren't just meant for a size 2. Formal wear and wedding dresses always runs small so it makes me crazy when you can't every try something on that even comes close to fitting. I told Kira the dress my daughter wanted and that it was sold out everywhere. She tried to get it through her sales rep, and even though we couldn't get that dress, my daughter found one there that was very similar and they actually had it in her size. Kuki is talented and is AMAZING!! My daughter has a big wedding and she is the Maid of Honor and had a special dress, which was long, frilly and beautiful. Two weeks before the wedding, she found that it didn't fit due to an exciting pregnancy, so we took it here since this place had done an amazing job on her wedding dress 2 years ago. When we took it to her and explained we were excited when she offered to completely re-make the dress by making it short and extending the sides. We picked it up today and it is absolutely stunning and it fits perfect. It looks like the original with all the details but is shortened and fits perfect, and the finishing touches were all done with extreme care. My fiancee went with a group of people to try on dresses at this shop today and were greeted with the worst customer service I have ever heard of. They were on time for their 1pm appointment, but no one came out to greet them or said anything to them at all. Undeterred they began to look at some of the dresses hung out on display, which brought forth one of the workers (the owner?) who snapped at them, "What are you doing!?" My fiancee explained that she had an appointment and the lady snapped again, "Fine! What's your name!?" then "Go sit over there we'll get to you in a bit!" There were no other customers in this shop, they were not busy, and they should have known my fiancee was coming at that time, yet they were incredibly rude to her and the family and friends that had accompanied her. When they found out the budget for the dress they laughed out loud and said, "We'll never get you into anything for that price!" This despite the fact that my fiancee has found several dresses online that she likes that are within our price range. They kept pulling down dresses that were not in the style that my fiancee was looking for because, "You set the price, this is what you can get for that much!" And when she wanted to look at certain dresses they actually said, "Well there's no use pulling that down, she won't fit into it." This about my beautiful fiancee with the perfect hourglass figure. All through this my sweet fiancee is trying be nice about the dresses they're pulling out calling them 'maybes' when they really aren't what she was looking for at all. She was really nice to them despite the fact that the way they treated her was almost enough to reduce her to tears. I am beyond furious at the way they treated her and I hope this review is enough to steer other people clear of the kind of hurt they caused my fiancee today. I write this review to get the word out about this place, so that other people know to avoid it at all costs (and hopefully at substantial loss of business for the witches that run it). The people are rude in both manner and speech, they treat the bride-to-be in a way that is despicable, and they don't keep their appointments. Don't go here. read more

I wish I could give her 5 stars but unfortunately her service was subpar and I was stressed out the whole time coming up to my wedding date. She was obviously overbooked because of prom season and forgot our appt completely and didn't even have my dress or call to cancel. I gave well over 2 months to finish my wedding dress. I paid 400 for her to hem/cut my dress and for the bussel which was such a pain in the butt to handle... I had a corset sewn in last minute because she completely forgot my appt. I think she didn't even offer other alternative alterations because she was pressed for time. And because of this I had major wardrobe malfunctions. My dress was too big on the top and all she cared about was the bottom length. She paid no attention to detail for the top area making my dress look frumpy on my wedding day. My bridesmaids had to go get fabric tape to try and help and add other things so I'd fit into my dress!! The hem was nice... if the bussel was done easily it would have been nice but not one person had ever seen it done that way so half of my dress dragged on the floor the whole night. Not worth the money I paid, I was so upset with my dress the whole time having to fix myself every few minutes. read more

I called Kuki's bridal to make an appointment to try wedding dresses. She had attitude over the phone. A little difficult to uderstand as well. She told me my wedding was very soon already to try dresses even though it's not in seven months. I make the appointments since she told me I needed one. I get there with my friend and it's close with a sign saying "will be back in 5 minutes" We waited there for 15 minutes outside and she never came back so I left. DONT GO TO KUKIS! It all started when I ordered my bridesmaid dress over the phone. I gave her my measurements and she said I was 2 sizes bigger than I actually am. I told her she was incorrect but she told me to trust her because she knew that the sizes run big. I get the dress and it is probably exactly 2 sizes too big and now she has to take it in. It turns out that she did that to all 5 bridesmaids and so now she was able to charge us all an extra $65 for alterations! To top it all off she made horrible alterations on our dresses. I went to pick up a dress my sister had paid for and walking in for the first time i saw a lady on a little couch and she was on the phone. There was nobody else in there so I assumed she was the owner or an employee. She didn't say a word to me. Not evan a simple one minute, I'll Be Right With you. Not one ounce of acknowledgment. I proceeded to stand at her counter for another 2 or 3 minutes, turning and staring right at her about two times after I walked into her back room looking for someone to help me, and finally she goes behind the counter still on her phone, straightens her tape dispenser and a few other objects, still on the phone and still no acknowledgement. She finally goes to the back room grabs what I'm guessing is my sisters dress, hangs it up says this is it rt? then takes the receipt out of my hand says yes this is it...and is still on the phone having a conversation. Kukis Bridal was my first stop for finding my wedding gown. The owner was initially very friendly and I did find a dress that I really loved. However, I felt my search for that perfect dress must continue. After visiting several other bridal boutiques, I had some narrowing down to do. We all know picking that perfect dress for our once in a lifetime day can sometimes be overwhelming. Well, I returned to Kukis a couple of more times to try the dress on again so that I could compare and make a final decision, but the owner was a totally different story. She was very impatient and made me feel very uncomfortable and rushed. Also, the price she initially quoted me changed significantly. When I walked out I thought to myself maybe I'm just being judgmental, but I would return once more with my sisters and they immediate said "that lady is so rude!" And she was. She does have a beautiful selection of dresses, but I would definitely not recommend for the mere fact of her rudeness and changing of prices which are high to begin with. Was very willing to work in my budget. Listened to what I asked for and when she tried to put me in something too sexy, she got it right away and backed off. However- once we bought the dress problems started. She seemed to not remember what we talked about from fitting to fitting so we kept having to go over it. I was losing weight due to health problems and she never wanted to take the dress in, just told me to eat more cheeseburgers. The dress hardly fit on my wedding day and the straps kept falling off my shoulders. and they weren't even the same color as the dress nor were they what we discussed. AND I had to take pins out when I received the dress. It was not pressed and the hem was not correct, only my training in gowns kept me from stumbling all day and that wasn't enough to keep the father daughter dance from ending abruptly because I kept stepping on the hem. When we called to say it wasn't pressed she tried charging us again because "she couldn't be responsible" for what we did once we left. Well, all we did was take it out of the bag. I think we were supposed to go back for a gown cleaning (which we paid for in advance) but I don't think I'll be going back. read more

So I originally purchased my dress from Bella bridal about 6 months before my wedding and the owner told me one month before my wedding to call her( she held my dress for me the entire time) and when I called her to set up a date for a final fitting to get it altered she had told me she was moving and she couldn't alter my dress and if I didn't pick up by the following day she was LEAVING. I recently this past weekend went to Kukis and was excited because it was my first time ever trying on dresses. When I went in she wasnt very friendly she asked first what my budget was and then asked my mom how much she was willing to pay for her daughter (which I thought was classless). Then when I told her what kind of dress I wanted she decided to pick them out for me and wouldnt even let me look for myself or pick out any. She then rushed me into the tiny space for a dressing room and told me to get naked put a net over my head (so I didnt get make up on the dress) and gave me a baby wipe and said wash ur hands off. Then when she was putting the dress on me she left the curtain to ( the tiny space they call their dressing room) WIDE OPEN!!! Everyone could see me naked! She then rushed me to try on the next one and then said my 3 o'clock apt is here and didnt even let me finish trying on the dresses she chose for me! She was rude, rushed, didnt have manors, and didnt even have the courtesy to say why dont we schedule an apt for a dif day and you can come back and we will have more time...........NOTHING!!!!
