Absolutely the worst customer service. Came in for pricing on rings. Wanted to see different designs. The guy that "helped" me was so rude. I told him what I was looking for and that I was looking for design and price options before deciding on buying. I also made it very clear that I was only looking for ideas and I'd need to bring my engagement ring in to see what would match with it. And if I decided to buy, I would come back at a later time. He was desperate for me to buy any ring, even if I didn't like it. He kept pushing me very aggressively and rudely. His responses to me throughout the visit.... "Who cares [about wanting to bring my engagement ring in], just buy this ring", "you should just get this one right now", "just get this one", "can you go get your other ring right now?", "how far do you live, go get your ring", "when can you come back?", "tomorrow? Monday? Tuesday?".... and more. It was an awful experience. I spent my money elsewhere, where I was treated with respect and not forced to buy something I didn't want. I ordered a white 14k gold chain. I picked up the chain, but I didn't really look at it when I picked it up. I got home and did I not look at it for a few days and when I finally did, I thought that the chain looked dirty and old. I kept thinking this does not look right. I bought some jewelry cleaner and sure enough the cloth ran with dark dirt lines, I couldn't get the chain clean. I then looked at the clasp and it looked like there was a dark spot on it, so I kept wiping it, it wouldn't come off. I took a picture with my phone and blew it up and there was a nick in the medal. Needless to say... the chain definitely isn't new like I ordered. I took the chain back to William Jewelers and I explained to Nick about the chain and he looked at it and agreed that there were defects in the chain and he ordered me a new one! My wife needed her rings resized and I searched for a reputable place to have the work done. I found William Jewelers and they had great reviews. So I decided to give them a try. I call the store and ask for ballpark estimate of how much it would cost to size down my wife's wedding rings. I was told it would be from $50 to $100 but they needed to see the rings. On Saturday 11/27/21 we walked in the store and was greeted by a young man. He asked us if we needed help and I told him I needed my wife's rings resized. He then questioned us if we wanted them soldered together. At first my wife was kinda interested but I was not specially if she ever wants to make changes to her rings. I asked how much it would be to solder them and I was told about $150. I quickly told him no thanks. How much to size down the rings. The worker walked back and forth as if he was trying to figure out how much he was going to attempt to over charge me. He then said "it will be from $250 to $350." I then told him no thanks. I will go elsewhere. He tried to explain that it cost more to go down to sizes. Mind you they cut the rings and keep the gold. I ask for our rings back but the worker instead went to talk with another worker. Then he told us I can do it for $110 plus taxes. I was still hesitant because of the change in cost. Nonetheless I decided to have them do the work. The worker charged me for the rings and I paid for the work up front. The worker told us they would be ready by Friday. That either one of us could pick them up. I asked the worker to show us a few diamonds because I plan to upgrade my wife's ring. I told the worker that after the holidays we would come back to upgrade my wife's ring. On Friday 12/3/21 in the afternoon we walk in the store to pick up the rings. We were both excited to pick them. Specially since my wife has been having a difficult time wearing them because they are too loose. The worker asked us for the receipt and my wife provided the receipt. The worker then said, "oh the rings are not ready." I responded "this is unprofessional and I was told they would be ready by Friday." Mind you it's almost been a week. The worker then said, "Did you get a call from us?" I said, "we were never told that we would get a call." The worker then says "come back by 7:00pm and hopefully they are ready. If not come back tomorrow. If you can't pick them up, we will hold them til Monday." I said, "we are going out of town and need them now." The worker went to the back and spoke with the jeweler. The worker then asked if I could wait 3 mins while he finishes with the rings. I responded of "course we could wait." By this time I was irritated with the unprofessionalism of this store. The worker handed my wife her rings and I walked out. I will never do business with this place again. I do not respect a store that tries to sucker their customer to pay more for a service and also lies about time. It should not take almost a week to resize rings. You guys made my wife's experience bitter sweet. Yes she was excited to finally be able to enjoy wearing her rings. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience and we both agreed to never step foot in your business. read more
