They did my wedding dress and altered it. I wanted my veil was 22 inches long. They just did a phenomenal job with my wedding dresses. Along with my bridesmaids made of honor dresses. That was a lot of work. I had seven bridesmaids so that was a lot of work and I also came back to get more dresses altered and cater too, so they are wonderful people very nice. My dad got his suit in Taylor as well. My husband and I had quite a few other friends who got their dresses and suits done here too wonderful great people prices can come down but for all the work, I completely understand. read more

The seamstress ruined my daughter's prom dress with 4 days until prom. Please view the photographs of the damage she did to the dress. She was asked to hem the dress, fit the bodice, and add pockets to the dress. She did a terrible job on all three requests and ruined the skirt in the process. I was told I had to pay the bill before I was able to see the dress. When I looked over the skirt, I immediately saw issues. The length of the skirt was correct but she removed ALL the tulle underneath which means the dress lays flat and no longer has volume. The hem was done poorly and shows raw edges on both the lining and the over skirt. The removal of the tulle left the underlayer of the skirt riddled with holes. I pointed this out to the seamstress and she offered to reattach the tulle to the dress but stated it would not be finished until the day before Prom. Thinking it was a fluke, I left the skirt and took the bodice home. At home, I looked over the bodice closely and noticed she didn't finish attaching the straps properly. Instead of inserting the straps into the bodice she tacked them in very loosely with 2 large stitches on the outside of the fabric. A seam was left raw inside the bodice as well. I was upset so I went to pick up the skirt the next day to see what could be salvaged. I walked into the business and the skirt was brought to me. I pointed out the small black scorch iron marks on the sides of the dress (its light peach). The seam stress said she had nothing black at the shop despite the black pens and equipment clearly visible on the counter and in the work area. The hems of the underlayer and overskirt were not repaired. Additionally, the tulle was placed 6 inches away from the hem of the skirt so now it had volume - except for 6inches of the bottom which folded in and hung flat. Ripping away the tulle again will cause further damage to the garment. The tulle also now had 2 large holes in the fabric. The pockets were also supposed to be invisible and are awkwardly visible. They will not lay flat. The seamstress refused even a partial refund on the poor quality job. You are much better off DIYing your tailoring compared to this. My daughter will not have an official Prom dress - we are out time for shopping. I will be pursuing small claims for damages. read more

I've been coming to this shop for more than 10 years. I took in my suit, nobody else near me was willing to alter, to this shop. I'm a skinny girl, that usually fits a 00 to a 0 depending on the manufacturer. The suit I brought in, was a size 4. It fit me quite literally like an oversized piece of clothing. It was a three piece: a blazer, a vest, and pants. I chose to wore it with a shirt and tie which I chose to accompany the suit. I personally think that Raquel did an excellent job! It was like as if the idea of it being an oversized piece of clothing, got replaced with an actual presentable suit for a presentation or an interview. I purchased a dress on line for a wedding and I took my dress to Socorros to take in cause it was a little to big and also too long. They done a wonderful job I am very pleased with the work that was done I will definitely use them again. If I could I would rate this a negative but one it is. DO NOT TRUST THEM!! THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER!!! My family and I have used this shop so many times but since has changed owners. The new owner Raquel is absolutely horrible along with her daughter. My daughter who's wedding is in just days away dropped off her dress in May. My mother went with her and they gave Raquel and her her daughter specification on how she wanted her dress altered. My daughter was told a date to go in for her first fitting. She went in and was devastated. She had chopped the dress which no cutting was supposed to be done until after this fitting. Raquel's daughter Sonia yelled at my daughter and her friend and became very defensive, making my daughters nightmare even worse. My daughter left crying and was told it could be fixed but what she wanted done now had to change. My daughter went to pick up her dress on 9-9-23 and it was worse. It looks like she now as a rabbit tail "cotton tail". The train was literally bunched up and looks horrible. She has literally 11 days before her wedding and now has no dress. I called Raquel after my daughter had called me upset. I explained how the dress was horrible and she wanted to try and fix it. I told her we had lost all trust in her and told her she needed to pay for the dress. She told me to come in on Sunday 9-10-23 after about a 7-8 min conversation. I asked her what time and she said 11am. I drove all the way from Arizona and arrived at 10:48am. I called to let her know I was there since she said the business was closed but she would be there. I left a message. I called again closer to 11am, She answered and said she would NOT be paying for the dress and she would just fix it and would not let me in like she said. She never apologized nor did she have any remorse. So again my daughter is without a dress and no money. As a business owner myself this is absolutely unacceptable!!! read more

I took my daughters prom dress to get altered here. The lady was very nice and I let her know that my daughter wanted a section of her dress that was see through to get covered, but in a beige color so it still looked see thru but wasn't. She said she could do that and she brought out colors and fabrics to see what I wanted. She even suggested if I wanted another material I could buy it and bring it to her. I said that wasn't necessary. We chose a color and she said she could have it done 2 days before my daughters prom. A couple days later I took my daughter to the place to have her try it on with shoes so she could fix the length as well. When I went to go pick it up two days before my daughters prom, she had covered the see-through part but unfortunately it was not the beige color I had choose and did it all black instead , which made it look like one solid color, which my daughter did not want. And the dress was still way to long and looked like it was just cut with scissors and left rough cut. My daughter had to wear way taller shoes that she wanted to because it was to long. if they were going to show me colors to choose from, they could've called me if that fabric didn't work for them and ask if they could switch the fabric. Unfortunately it was my fault that my daughter did not come with me to try on the dress when I picked it up because she had school and I should of looked at the dress to see it was not what I wanted. She didn't even let me know when I picked it up that it was a diffrent fabric then what we chose. I paid $150 for dress and $150 for these alterations + a new zipper. Which I think was pretty pricey for mediocre work. In all she looked beautiful... it is what it is. Lesson learned and I will not be coming to this place again. read more

Whether this place has changed owners as mentioned in a previous review, or not, I do not recommend this place. My wife took in a pair of expensive jeans to have the hems shortened. It was stated to hem jeans exactly as shown on jeans with a stitched hem. When she picked them up, the hem now had a straight edge with a blind stitch. This place is pretty bad, they do not follow instructions. I could not find a city or state business license to report them. Do yourselves a favor, go somewhere else. I doubt the owner(s) will read this review, which is why they give bad service. They simply don't care. read more

I took my wedding dress here to be altered. They did a nice job on my dress- but a couple hiccups along the way. Mainly- after I left my dress there for 5 weeks I came. To try it on and they had forgotten about it. Luckily they were able to alter it quickly and I came back a few days later. They are definitely a revolving door here- not the best customer service. However, she is the exact opposite. After ruining my best friends wedding dress, she held back on her word in reimbursing her for her dress she ruined. She did not apologize for her wrong doings & instead blamed myself and my best friend in saying we asked for the destruction of the dress. This is a wedding! The most precious time for a bride & it was quickly ruined. Her daughter, has the worst attitude & terrible customer service. They would answer the phone and hang up, they locked their doors so we would not come in, etc. Please do not trust these people with anything, especially if this is your wedding dress!!!!! For my children she made them clothes also, when my youngest child was 2 she made her a turquoise dress, she was so tiny but since then she's grown, as she's grown she has experienced more beautiful dresses which she donned from place to place. And for my oldest, my son, she has form-fitted his formal clothes for the style he wished for. I am more than happy to say, she's the best dressmaker I've had known for all these years. I went to get my work pants altered, went in on a Wednesday and was told to be back the following Tuesday. I worked on Tuesday and went in on the following Wednesday (1 whole week) they couldn't find my pants at all, I thought they lost them, then they figured out that they never did them. 1 whole day later, and they didn't have my order done. They told me to come back in 1hr, best believe I came back in 1hr, I had to wait still to get them because they weren't done. Then they charged me regular price for them. I've been there before, and got charged less than what I was being charged this time. Needless to say the old women was rude, they didn't not have my order done in 1 whole week, and I was charged full price. I will not be going back there. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone either. read more

I found Rosanna's online & the first week of December I went in and told Carmen and Rosanna how I wanted my wedding dress custom made-simple vintage style and stated my wedding is in March. I called in December, nothing. I called in January & there wasn't any news about my dress still. I called the beginning on February and was told they "were JUST about to call" to schedule my first fitting. When I went in it was nothing like I asked for. It was awful. Now a month away they weren't sure if there would be enough time to redo the dress. They're the ones who drug their feet those two months and I couldn't get my deposit back. I had to scramble to find another place that could make the dress. I ended up going to Socorro's Bridal and the ladies nailed it. They made the beautiful wedding dress on a time crunch. Not only did they make the exact wedding dress I asked for, I threw in a second dress for the reception and they executed it so beautifully. I highly recommend Socorro's Bridal!!! read more

I was assured they would be able to get them done by Friday morning as requested with the desired inseam. I went here to get my wedding dress altered and they did a fantastic job! I payed only 65$ to get the waist taken in and my dress fit perfectly afterward. The seams were very cleanly taken in, no loose threads, no problems. The owner there is very nice and takes great pride in her work!
