I've lived in multiple cities in 3 different states and I've done yoga in all of them. Kula is my favorite studio by far. They offer a wide variety of levels/styles that can accommodate nearly everyone. The class times should be able to fit into nearly any busy schedule. The studio itself is clean and beautiful and gives a feeling of serenity. The instructors are amongst the most friendly I have had. They are knowledgeable and dedicated to the practice (I would like a bit more hands-on posture correction/adjustments). The unexpected bonus is how friendly and open the other students are. I've never been to another studio where the regulars actively engaged with newcomers. They made me feel welcome from the moment I unrolled my mat. I'm sold on Kula. read more

I LOVE them! I first started taking my kids to Storybook Yoga about 2 years ago. I am not sure who loved it more, me or my kids. I was impressed when they remembered all of our names right away and I enjoyed chatting with them personally before and after classes. They offer aerial yoga which I thought was very unique. I gave it a try and loved it! I was a little nervous to take a class without any previous experience but I immediately felt comfortable. My husband and I couldn't be more thrilled that Kula Yoga now has a second location on Monroe Street in Madison. We signed up for the $25 introductory two-week unlimited pass, and just a few days in we were already convinced that we needed to get an annual pass. Kula can be summed up in one word: community. It's an incredibly warm and welcoming family that offers support, guidance, and joy. All of the teachers--Ruthie, Lisa, Jennifer and more--are fantastic listeners and supportive teachers. As a yoga novice, I felt immediately welcomed with open arms, not judged or intimidated like I've felt in other yoga studios. I attended two classes at Kula Yoga recently, as an out-of-town guest of someone who goes regularly. These were my first yoga classes ever, and now I wish I lived in town, because it's such an amazing place! I felt so welcome, and the teachers made the classes a very positive experience for me. Kula Yoga & Wellness is a wonderful yoga studio. They are so friendly, their prices are reasonable, their instructors are top notch & they have a large variety of classes from beginner to advanced.
