I love coming here to get my pre-workout beverage. The place doesn't look the fanciest, but the drinks are tasty. I usually do online ordering to get ahead so that I am in and out quickly. The staff here is friendly, and your drinks come out fast. There's a few tables inside for you to enjoy your beverage, and it's pretty spacious inside. 10/10 would come again. Place is in a super small shopping plaza with a liquor and Salvadoran restaurant next door. From the outside the place looks questionable... but inside it's super clean which is what I admire since it's a fruit place. You order on your own on a tablet but the gentleman behind the counter did approach me and let me know he was there if I had any questions which is also a plus for me! Even though he wasn't taking orders, he still approached customer. Overall my order was made pretty quickly. The flavor isn't anything out of ordinary but the fruit did taste fresh! I love that we can add a bunch of superfoods too for crunch, flavor and nutrient boost. This bowl certainly didn't disappoint and I seriously entertained thoughts of ordering another one on the spot, but needed to save room for lunch. Full disclosure: This drink is really not for everyone. I may have gone overboard too by adding chia and flax seeds. I also decided to include collagen protein powder for an additional $1.50, which in hindsight I probably should have left out. This isn't a pet-friendly shop, but the man working the counter that day allowed us to bring in our dog out of the heat which was greatly appreciated. For Acai bowl lovers FYI, this is not the usual sorbet type of Acai but rather a smoothie base that is mixed with acai and other fruits. Honestly, the menu is a little misleading for me. It should be named acai smoothie bowl or something. I noticed that the current menu says "blend" at the end but the previous menus did not have that (based on yelp photos). The menu for the bowls and smoothies seem pretty much the same except the bowl is the biggest option of 24 oz whereas small/medium/large options are in a cup. Because this was a smoothie, the 24 oz got really heavy (possibly from the banana) and I could not finish. Overall, it was just okay for me but based off of other reviews, I'm sure there are people who likes it done this way. read more

I stopped by mid-Sunday morning for a healthy breakfast. For the acai bowl, you pick a base and topping combination. For my bowl, I got a mix of pitaya and acai with the energy toppings. The base was not a premade sorbet- it was more like a thick smoothie consistency. The bowl was very filling at 24 oz, but it wasn't the tastiest I've had. I could have done without some the toppings that came with the bowl. I also ordered a Verde smoothie, which does not contain dairy. The smoothie was essentially a thick green juice with minimum sugar. I would recommend getting this drink if you're in the need for a fiber boost. I was looking for a smoothie/juice bar near my workplace and so I decided to go to Kumix for the first time. It's located in a small plaza next to a smoke shop so I didn't have very high expectations. But I was genuinely impressed for this shop. The interior is large and clean and styled very well. I liked the minimalist design of the tables and chairs. They had art murals on the wall. I got their greenger which was a juice with ginger, spinach, kale, cucumber, parsley, and green apple. It doesn't come with ice but I asked for it in a larger cup with ice. It tasted very similar to most "green juices" that other health cafes offer. I wasn't a fan of the ginger because it made the drink much sharper. But they do let you customize your drink so it's not a problem if I want to get it without ginger next time. I really want to try the acai bowls the next time I visit. It would be nice if they had a stamp card or happy hour so that it would be cheaper for repeat visitors. Its Hidden away and at times requiring a u-turn to reach, but it is well worth another signal light. So the açaí Nutella bowl is probably the main reason why I came back. The way my 1st bowl was prepared: Base: acai blended with Nutella Surface: Nutella, banana, strawberry,blueberry,and green apples I did not get add-ons, but they offer Base Add-ons, which are whey or plant based protein, Spirulina, Nutella, peanut butter, almond butter, oatmeal. For Surface Add-ons you have Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, peanut butter, almond butter, mix seeds. Bowl#2 For my return visit today, I went with acai base, peanut butter surface + chocolate plant based protein. I thought the protein was going to be too rich, but it had a milder chocolate flavor. Coming back to try the vanilla protein. As for drinks, I've tried the Greenger, which is ginger spinach, kale, cucumber, parsley, green apple and the Citrus Kumix, which comes with kale, lime, green apple, pineapple, ginger, cucumber. Definitely needed the detox from Greenger and the Citrus Kumix for a bit of a refresh. Would definitely give this place a try if you're up for a bit of detox, revitalization, or just that mid day pick me up. read more
