This place started off great cuz the service was quick & polite. 8 pc sushi dinner with Miso soup & salad. I saw stem coming off the soup & instantly knew this place had a shot at being my new spot. Not only was the fish fresh the rice was close to perfect. I say close cuz i felt the portions were just a bit small, BUT its texture was on point and it did not fall apart once the soy-sauce hit it. The price was fair I had no problem leaving a good tip. This was a first trip & Im sincerely lookin forward to #2. Im damn happy Conyers finally has good sushi. I had to upgrade my previous 4 star review to 5. Reason being I have come to this place probably 8-10 times now and it never fails the soup is always HOT and the rice has been spot on every dang time. The food was OK except for the fact they don't give you enough salad dressing and they give you two little teaspoons of Yum Yum sauce for your whole order. I went back to get more and they charged me $2.12 for three little things of salt they should just provide their customers with the sauce that goes with their food to begin with. read more

Food Poisoning Report - 10/1/2025 On October 1, 2025, we ordered takeout food for two adults and two children (ages 1 and 5). By the next day (October 2, 2025), our entire family was experiencing symptoms of food poisoning. * Children: * My 5-year-old ate egg rolls and shared the shrimp and chicken. He developed severe diarrhea, stomach pain, and a fever. It was so severe we had to take him to the hospital and was given medication and was unable to attend school. * My 1-year-old vomited more than three times, developed a fever, had diarrhea, and could not attend daycare. * Adults (my fiancé and I): * Both of us experienced diarrhea, nausea, headaches, and excessive watery saliva followed by vomiting. This forced us to miss work, which impacts our household finances. When I contacted the restaurant, instead of concern or accountability, I was met with sarcasm and dismissal. To make matters worse, the review I posted online was removed shortly after, which raises concerns about transparency. We have eaten here before and enjoyed the food, but this time it was clear the food was not fresh and was unsafe. Based on these events, I strongly believe the restaurant is serving old food and putting customers' health at risk. I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate health authorities. What really set her off was having their website promise this: "watch the chef create your fresh and succulent dish right before your eyes" BUT ITS COOKED IN THE KITCHEN BEHIND YOUR BACK! Gasp! Wtf?! (1) meat tough & inedible. Our table ordered steak, shrimp and chicken and every single one was so tough. The kids couldn't chew through the steak cubes. It wasn't busy at all, so there is no reason for this food to be over cooked. (2) Sushi is average. If you have to come here, I'd stick with the sushi given the poor quality of the hibachi. The one positive that saves this from being a one star is that they put a fair amount of fish and they don't heavily rice the rolls. My table mates verified what another reviewer notes: the soy sauce IS watered down. I don't particularly care but there you have it. (3) ambiance is very cafeteria-like. Came here a few months back and the food was pretty decent! Not like GREAT but not bad either and definitely worth the price! I ordered several rolls and teriyaki salmon for my mother, sis and I. I personally just ate the OMG roll which was humongous and definitely a shareable roll! I wanted to like this place I have had ZERO luck with finding decent sushi in Conyers where my corporate office is located. We started off with crab salad and tuna. The tuna tasted old. Only had one piece. It just wasn't that good. The crab salad was decent. Actually it was probably the best part of the meal. The avocado was fresh (as it should be) and the crab was well....imitation crab like all other places. We also order a side of vegetable fried rice. There were no veggies in the rice. They literally threw some soy sauce in it and sautéed the rice. It didn't taste badly, but it lacked flavor for sure. We also ordered the Volcano roll and rainbow roll. It just wasn't fresh. I ate a piece from each roll and that was it. I live and breathe for wasabi. I had to add triple what I normally die to lack of freshness All in all I will not be back. So, if you are really craving sushi, and you are stuck in Conyers - this might be an OK place to go. The hibachi is definitely not what you were expecting, as you don't have any cook in front of you. The rice was not very good (like traditional hibachi rice) either. I recommend you just get the meat without the rice. The sushi was pretty good, and the presentation was nice. But, the soy sauce on the table was water down. Yes, I do mean water down - it was not the low-sodium version.
