Hotel is in a decent area with plenty of restaurants, stores etc on Main St. We needed a Petco and there is one 2 min away. Staff were friendly, lobby/breakfast area is clean. Hotel grounds were also very nice with a few places for dogs to potty. Covered/gated parking was a nice reassurance and parking fee for a night was only $6.23. Bed was very comfortable, shower had strong pressure and a very tall shower head if you are tall. A little bit of peeling wallpaper over shower area but overall decor was satisfactory. Room has a frig, microwave and couch/trundle bed to accommodate additional people.

Not sure if there is an ADA entrance at the back? There were no ramps in the front. Parking is available via a third party and at a parking lot nearby (Colonial Parking on 22nd). Staff instructed us to use Spot Hero and we were able to park/pay without any issues.

We got introduced to Rago months before the wedding date but he was involved and communicative the entire time. Him and his team showed up early, got the best poses and were so helpful and kind. They got a lay of the venue the day before so knew where they wanted to take photos and videos. We got sneak peeks literally the day after (or even the night of) and were over the moon to see the final results. Final pictures and videos were ready 2-3 weeks later and reliving the best day ever over and over is such a joyful experience. We were on our way to a wedding in Potomac, MD on Sunday, and the closest hotels were in Tysons Corner VA or Bethesda MD. We selected this hotel primarily because it's an IHG hotel (where we have platinum membership in its reward program), its location, and very good review profile. This hotel offers apartment-style hotel suites with full kitchens, free wifi, and 42" HDTVs, and includes a free breakfast buffet. The website indicates that the hotel also offers 24/7 laundry, a fitness room, and seasonal pool but, while useful, we didn't use any of these. We were very pleased with our selection. The hotel was beautifully appointed and spotless, and it was clear that thought had gone into providing what travelers were most likely need. Our suite was huge, with two separate areas. One side included the sleeping area and the bathroom, while the other side was the kitchen and sitting area with TV. (Note that there are different room types. Our daughter and SIL said that their room was smaller). Check-in was effortless, with everything already ready upon our arrival. The check-in receptionist was friendly, and offered good recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered many hot and other choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, diced sweet potatoes, hot waffles, oatmeal, breads/bagels/scones, fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), and beverages (coffee, tea, juices). Foods were replenished regularly, except for the orange and pineapple juices (both of which dispensed only water). The neighborhood is urban, but the hotel is quiet and offers parking ($). There are walkable restaurants nearby. Our rating for this hotel would actually be 4.5 but a round-up to 5.0 seemed more appropriate than a downgrade. A few small things, the first two of which are related to communication. (1) we were surprised by our final bill which included a $10 charge for parking. While we were asked at check-in whether we needed a parking pass, it was never mentioned, and should have been, that there was a charge for that parking. (2) we're platinum members of IHG's Rewards Program, which is usually acknowledged at check-in with an offer of 500 loyalty points or a snack or drink. While not mentioned at check-in, I did find later that our account was credited with 500 points. (3) I had been sitting on the chaise lounger in the bedroom area, elevating my feet after a long drive. My husband called from the other side of the suite, and I swung my legs to get up to go there. This caused me to fall with a hard thud. It turns out that what I thought was a one piece chaise lounger (as in the living room area) was actually a chair and ottoman that fit together. When I tried to get up, the ottoman rolled and I fell between the two pieces. Not a major injury, but I do have some black and blue marks. I guess I should've turned on a light!

They do daily events like chocolate apples, drinks, and other interesting snacks in the lobby at certain times. I like those small perks. The service in my room was good too -- daily cleanings and leaving small trinkets like water and chocolates. That was great. The lobby and bar were well done, with good music playing and good bar service. However, my room itself was questionable. The TV couldn't play any audio the first night. I tried several things, nothing would work. Mysteriously it fixed itself by the next day after I came back to my room, maybe the cleaning staff figured it out. My bathroom had a weird drain dripping sound any time I used the sink -- it would drip for 5-10 minutes. It didn't impact me aside from being strange. The in room amenities are way too pricey. I get it's the Ritz, but it's $10 for a water and $12 for a handful of skittles. I just walked to the CVS across the street instead. The building itself is decent, but doesn't feel super premium in my opinion, especially vs other Ritz. I do prefer this property to Crystal Gateway Marriott by a lot, though.

I had to turn the water off just to soap up, then turn it back on to rinse because there simply wasn't enough room to avoid the water. Overall, while the hotel is attractive and clean, the missing amenities and poorly designed bathroom made for a disappointing stay.

As the makeup artist for the secretary of the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, I was made to feel like a guest of honor. I can't thank the staff enough for making everyone feel so special. I was so excited by the experience that I was able to capture a video of the President walking out of the hotel. I highly recommend this location to anyone coming into DC, whether it's for business or just a getaway. The spacious accommodations are more than enough to meet your needs. Trust me, it's worth it.

If I had to nitpick and choose one thing to critique, it would be the size of the bathroom. However, this is not the fault of anyone at this location, my room just happened to be next to the elevator. But it was an excellent stay and I would recommend this to everyone! I know I will be back!
