First time here last weekend. Was so hungry but those tacos though... simple and yummy... I had two orders. Going back for those for sure!

We ended up at this place because it sounded interesting and one of the few places offering food at a late hour. Make no mistake, this is a bar, a local bar that only serves one kind of taco as a side note, and you probably have to have some of the beverages on tap to appreciate the tacos. The tacos were flavorless and low quality. The ground beef? was dry and tasted like it might have been in the warmer too long. I need these after Nova went off on me last night "when I said I wished you'd get to know my friend I didn't mean get to know her in the biblical sense you asshole" "Am I a mind reader now"? Greasy, heavily seasoned meat smothered in mounds of shredded cheese that only an 80-year-old woman suffering from chronic bowel obstruction could appreciate. These, my friend, are tacos meant to be consumed by men...and broads. Men not afraid to risk it all for the love of the woman he knows rightfully is the missing piece in his life. Men of action. Men of mystery. Drinkers who understand the cultural significance of beers like PBR, Hamms and my beloved Schlitz and the broads who put smiles on their faces and make them better. All this from tacos you may ask. Yes Sir and more. Not that these tacos are anything magical but rather it's their simplicity that makes them, dare I say, mythical. No bullshit tacos with none of the filler shit like lettuce whose only purpose is to fill the shell so you get less meat, less cheese. All meat and cheese is the jam here with no bullshit beer and no bullshit whiskey. I don't go to the FU once the sun sets because it gets as busy as a hooker running $69 dollar blow and go special in the parking lot of a Monster Truck Rally. Good for them. That and I generally despise most people on the planet including the Cliff Claven mother fucker two tree stumps down from me who insists on talking to me about his boring ass life while I can't help but wonder just how long it would take him to bleed out once I shove this plastic fork into his jugular. The bartender seems cool enough. I'm sure she'd give me another fork but lucky for Claven I spent most of my Prairie Meadows winnings already on Jillette (the best a man can get) Jill for short, a traveling hooker who just happened to alert me that she was in town last night so I don't currently have adequate tip money to ask the bartender to not only help me carry the body out to my truck, let alone mop up all the blood, so I'll behave myself. This place is interesting - We walked in and kind of felt out of place but the staff at the bar was so nice and very attentive! The taco are okay - worth the $2 - not a great beer selection but a cheap night out. would go back for sure. read more

Snobby unfriendly, hipster service. We had to ask for each round even though our drinks were obviously empty and sitting there empty for a while. The tacos are ok. It was our first time at Kung Fu so we asked for a menu. The bartender dead panned "we have tacos, ground beef, they're $2." No shit. Maybe if we had someone who actually talked to us and gave some sort of service we'd had known that? The service was uncomfortable and the tacos are meh. Biker bar! Cheap hard shell tacos with no frills other than a few selections of hot sauces. Friendly staff and clearly a local dive place for bikers. Nice on the inside as far as decor. Someone put some work into a lot of the decor. Staff was really friendly and served us quickly. Little patio available. Decent prices. Some of the locals who are more free with their mouths like to F bomb every other word but if you can block that out the experience us perfect. read more

This is a place that was recommended to me by a friend of one of the owner. $2 tacos and $2.50 Hamm's on draft. When I walked in, I felt out of place but was immediately welcomed at the bar. I could sit, drink and eat cheap tacos all night. Can't wait to go back. read more

Pretty rad place to catch some brews with the homies, full bar, friendly staff, pool table, closed in patio for smokers when it gets chilly in the winter. They play an eclectic mix of music which could possibly but rarely include some country.. bar tender's choice... but mostly the music consists of metal and punk rock. While the tap does not have a lot of beer, they make some awesome mixed drinks and have tons of interesting selections in the cooler. The concept for the bar is very West Side Salvage with the bar and table tops made out of refurbished bowling alley materials and "tree stumps" for bar stools are finished with thick glaze, the curtain to the kitchen is made from thick chrome chain. People from literally all walks of life come into Kung Fu and love it - appreciating what it is and what its not. Its actually a pretty cool little joint that if you look closely is kind of a piece of art, posing as a dive bar. But what it is undeniably is just plain chill. The owners of Kung Fu are very smart businessmen who have and do own other long-lasting, successful bars in the area, as well as other businesses. read more
