And even this summer in Toronto we came across quite a few. I liked the place itself - you have a choice of high or low tables, the wood warms up the place, and the Asian music adds to the mood. It's a great spot to meet a friend and have a drink. I ordered the milk tea boba and it was spot on - very much like the ones I've had in the past. Kicking it smooth-tea, Kung Fu style! Hands down the best boba spots in Denver. Coming from Spoiled California this place is definitely great competition when it comes to the tea and boba world. From large boba balls or the mini kind and different toppings, they have smooth tasty fresh boba. You can also request how sweet you want your beverage to be. They also offer the yummy Fluffy cheesecakes (caramel, plain or green tea cheese cake) a great snack. I always get the Honey Milk Green tea with mini balls, half sweetened and a cheesecake for later. Depending on the day, I order this either warm or cold. They are consistent and always fulfills my boba cravings. The last two-three hours before closing can get busy with lines outside the entrance. Hallelujah, our boba prayers have been answered! Kung Fu Tea is finally open, and it lives up to the hype! I came here with some friends around 11AM this morning, and it was already pretty crowded. Clearly the rest of Denver has been craving some boba as much as we have! As with any new boba place I try, I ordered the Milk Green Tea with boba, medium-sized and regular ice and regular sugar. For a busy day, it came out in a reasonable amount of time. One sip told me that it was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a good milk green tea. The drink had a good strong green tea flavor and balanced well with the milk (which I heard was non-dairy but can't confirm) and a good level of sweetness. I got regular sweetness because I personally like my milk tea's pretty sweet (in comparison to a lot of people), but if you want it less sweet, they do offer different levels of sweetness (half sweet, 70%, etc). The boba had a good texture--not too hard or too mushy, just a good level of chewiness. My friend got the winter melon tea, and he raved about it, so it's not just the milk tea that's good! Verdict? I don't care that it's 20 minutes away from my apartment!! If I'm craving some boba, I'm going to drive over and grab some boba from Kung Fu Tea. They have your usual favorites, in addition to some interesting flavors. Lactose-intolerant friends, they do have some options made with Lactaid so you can enjoy a milky sweet treat too without worry :) Do note that since everyone wants to check it out, you might have to wait a bit for the next couple days (weeks?), so be prepared! read more

Granted, this might be a result of being spoiled over the years with a great local boba place back home. I love kung fu tea! I've been coming here ever since it opened. My favorite is the kung fu milk tea with boba. On warmer days, I like to go for fruitier teas, such as the mango tea (bonus-- mango already has mango jelly in it!). I've also gotten to try to the hot green tea. It comes lightly sweetened and it actually tastes really good!! There is a lot of parking but sometimes the line can be out the door, so come prepared to wait and there may not be enough seating (especially for big groups). Checked it out on a workday afternoon and luckily got an available parking spot right outside the front door. Nice inner decorations and lots of seating places. I tried the boba milk tea with Oreo, no ice and medium size. Loved their chewy boba, as great as always. I like this place a lot. It's like Starbucks but for people who don't necessarily love/want coffee. Endless non-coffee options either to get your morning going or a little pick-me-up in the afternoon. I definitely frequent this spot more in the summer when I can get a nice iced beverage to help cool down a hot summer afternoon. I also love that I can get a delicious drink that isn't heavy on calories (as long as you get something that isn't sweetened that is!) All of that being said, I wish the menu was a bit streamlined. I normally panic after looking at all of the options and get confused on the ordering process. I've ordered a number of things and have yet to find a "go-to". Supposedly, you order by saying the size, any toppings, sweetness level, and ice level. Any time I've told them a sweetness level, they seem utterly confused. Like some of the drinks seem to just come at a certain level so by me saying "30% sweetness level" (per the instructions to do so) they look at me very strange. Granted, I could be missing something. Regardless, I'll continue coming because the drinks are awesome and it's refreshing to have non-coffee/non-alcohol options to socialize around. Eventually, if I keep coming and ordering, I'll hit the jack pot and find my "go-to". But for now I'll have fun trying the numerous options. (I was there on a Wednesday around 1:30pm) My drink came out quickly, and then I was on my way. I ordered Honey milk tea with boba, 70% sweet. I always pay with the Kung Fu TeaApp, because some Kung Fu Tea locations have credit card limits of at least $5, but if you pay with the app it does not matter. I absolutely love Kung Fu tea, so much so I take a 30 minute detour on my commute home from work to the closest one to my house. Tonight i called 20 minutes before close because my maps said i would arrive right at 9:59, and i wanted to ask if call aheads were something they do, or if I it would be too late and I should save the trip all together. She assured me like it was almost commonplace not to worry, and just order when i arrive at 959. I arrive at 10:01 to an open front door and a glowing open sign, only to walk in and be told immediately "we are closed we dont have anything to serve" and was given some dismay about not respecting their business hours. They looked at me like an entitled selfish customer when I called ahead asking if I should make the trip or not. Well, this place got ways to go - ordered 3 drinks yesterday .... from time of placing order to time of them calling my number over 25 minutes and they were not that busy. I understand every new business has kinks to work out but to add an insult to injury, the order was wrong. Love everything about this place! I'm here all the time! The wait is a little long but definitely worth it. I noticed the wait is longer on the weekends and at nights around 7 until closing time. But if you go during the day or afternoon on a weekday it's only about 10 min wait. That's not bad at all seeing how popular this place is. The hype here is real. My first visit was on a Wednesday afternoon and luckily for me there was no line (however, shortly after ordering the line was almost out the door). Happy national boba tea day! Ordered the Taro milk tea with wow bubbles in celebration. Did not enjoy the wow bubbles as much as I thought I would. Taro itself has a strong root taste so brace yourself because it's totally delicious but a particular craving. For example, it's not as refreshing for a hot day. I can see me enjoying this often with much less sweetener too. Boba always has a great presentation with the film lids and straws. The atmosphere is nice and there are many options to choose from. Also tried a medium s'mores slush and it had too much Hershey's chocolate syrup. Didn't get to take a pic but the amount of graham crackers were perfect! It seems they added marshmallow around the cup.. could've used even more of that. Yum. Would see this as a meal replacement. Your first impression of this place is the long line because it's popular! We've been here a few times and it's always busy! The menu is extensive and pretty daunting for your first time but once you get the hang of it, you'll be ordering your favourites in no time. The stand out here is the boba (bubbles) with the jelly and the different teas. I thought the coconut milk tea as the best out of the 5 or so that I've tried but that's just me. The desserts look pretty good too if you have a sweet tooth. There is limited seating here so you might not get a seat to chill and drink your tea but that's just how it goes. The Denver metro area has few shops devoted to boba, so this place has seen a warm welcome. This would be my go to place if it were closer to me, it's truly really good. I usually get their Kung Fu Milk Tea with boba and pudding (next time I want to try their bean topping). The staff is really nice too! I knocked down a star because I find it a bit wasteful that they automatically give you a drink holder when you order more than 3 drinks...especially when you're staying there. They should probably change that considering their trash can was filled to the brim with drink holders. I think they could improve their boba/liquid ratio, I always end up with half of my boba left after the liquid is all gone. There are only a few of these establishments in the US AND Denver has one.... yippie! We adventured to Denver to find this place that has the most wonderful refreshment along with boba or bubbles filled with yummy stuff at the bottom of your cup. I ordered the NEW ROSEHIP tea with bobas. Insanely delicious. It considered a Japanese beverage. They serve other drinks as well like smoothies etc and interesting yummy crepes from tea. Not like the French crepe .... a Japanese version looked like cheesecake but not as it will be a slice of the crepe. I hope that make sense. I didn't get a pic of the whole crepe... dern it:( Clean establishment and staff can be helpful. Very busy place so be patient as generally there is a lime out the door. We arrived just after they open at 11am and the place was jumping. It's worth waiting. Menu are easy to read as they give you wall size step by step on how to order your drink. Very helpful. I don't recommend going to Kungfu Tea at a location near Hamden Ave; especially, today. The staff just don't greet customers as nicely as they did before. They kinda rush to take an order then they can chatting with each other. Well, I can understand if you guys busy, but it wasn't busy at the time I came. Of course, they talked about my order such an annoying order. Is it wrong when I ask to have less sugar and ice??? Tell me where is the wrong point??? I just feel regret that I gave tip to them. Not worth the hype honestly. The boba texture is pretty on point but the drinks aren't great and the boba is flavorless. My big issue with the drinks is that they drown out the tea. I ordered honey green milk tea, then another time I ordered just green milk tea and both of them tasted exactly just like milk with honey. So happy they have a KFT in Denver! I go for their Kung fu milk tea and cocoa cream milk tea. I ask for no boba but for the cocoa cream, boba is necessary because of the brown sugar and it is really good!! Their spam masubi is really good too. Boba places are popping up in Denver but I think KFT is the best still! I feel like California has more and better options for boba places. I went to KFT a lot in Fullerton and the staff got to know me! Hasn't been the case here in Denver but I also haven't gone in a while. One compliant I have, and this goes for all the KFTs is I don't like how the rewards app makes you put your credit card in the app. I'm sure it is safe but I just don't feel comfortable putting credit cards on my phone for fear that someone will steal the info. Yes I'm aware that can happen with giving the credit card to the employee. But it would be nice to have the rewards app where putting your credit card in the app is optional like at Caribou. Been here many many time. Never once been disappointed. The boba is amazing and the cakes are great. Staffs are nice. My one and only problem with this place is how loud the machines are. It a really nice place and I wish I could enjoy a drink over conversation with friends but it very noisy. However, I swore to myself I will never buy boba anywhere else anymore.
