Clean and quiet location. I ordered a coffee smoothie which was tasty but came more as a coffee milk or just ice coffee. There was no slushie consistency at all. Didn't realize until a few sips in. My wife ordered a tea that was label their special. It came extremely hot to where we could drink it without burning herself. She ended up going back inside to get ice added to the tea and drank it cold. We both did enjoy your drinks but will make sure they are exactly as we ordered before leaving the store next time.

Loved the limited edition Princess Peach milk tea! I also tried the regular milk tea and it was delicious! Store service was excellent. Great place to come and study (although it's not that big of a space).

my and my niece got from this place servers were really nice and pretty! but the oreo shake or smt i forgot had a really weird texture? the milk bubble tea with brown sugar was really bad boba was not boba-ing oreo shake was good i got taro it's tasted like moldy popcorn this is NOT bean boozled bud. But place was pretty calm and cool bbl drizzy vibes when he wasn't a pedo.

The decor was whimsical and the overall theme was based off of one of the best animated fantasy film My Neighbor Totoro, hence the name of the cafe. We ordered a White Chocolate Mochi Donut, the chewy and bouncy texture was really fun to eat. Korean Potato Corn Dog was crisped to perfection and the cheese pull did not disappoint. House Milk Tea was made with Assam Tea, the drink was incredibly delicious, the flavor of tea was bold and it complimented the snacks very well. Totoro Mochi Donut is the perfect place for anyone looking to relax and unwind after a long day. The atmosphere is inviting, the snacks are delicious, and the staff will make sure your experience is nothing short of amazing.

Soooo I didn't read the reviews before going, but I definitely experienced the whole "read the…read moresign" treatment. HOWEVER... as someone with severe OCD, I actually prefer this format. I love knowing the items are well attended to and not mushy or days old like the froyo place nearby (super gross!!). The owners and the employee running the shop operate it stricter than the army -- and you know what? I actually kind of love it. Environment looks and feels clean. The employee periodically checked on the machines which is a good sign. My husband's order was brought to us directly despite that there was a line- speaks volume about their "hospitality". I understand if the strict treatment may offend others but people like me respect it and very much prefer this.

But drinks, spring rolls, banh mi, vermicelli/rice plates are also their jam. Definitely on the pricier side for Vietnamese food and not truly authentic (but guess it's pretty far from Alief / Bellaire here), but I enjoyed the flavors anyways! ** 5 spice tofu vermicelli: this beautiful plate came with big fluffy pieces of tofu that were nicely fried, but the tofu itself had only a hint of the 5 spice flavor. It came with a very sweet, light fish sauce (?) that amped up the flavor, and there are sriracha and hoisin sauces on each table if needed. The medley of carrots, cabbage, and cilantro added some crunch and color. It wasn't oily or overly filling, and I'm happy I tried it :) ** BBQ pork banh mi: solid banh mi with some pickled veggies inside. Take out the jalepeno if you don't like spicy! The pork is a little on the fattier side. We added a fried egg as suggested by the staff (man, eggs are expensive right now!), and it was a little overcooked since we usually like the slightly runny yolk for banh mi. The bread wasn't overly crispy that it poked the roof of your mouth. ** Shrimp tempura: more of a fried shrimp than the Japanese tempura style, but still tasty! These came piping hot with pickled carrots too. Doesn't taste very "shrimpy," which may be good depending on who you ask. It's a clean and sort of fun, airy atmosphere. You order at the cashier first and the water, utensils, boxes, etc are self-serve. The staff were friendly. Definitely bring a jacket-- they had fans circulating cold air and it was chilly! Would return for their lunch offerings if in the area and to try the drinks and bubble waffles :D
