This place could be described as "no frills," but you'd be wrong. They put the frills in their prices. If you need some smoke at the best possible prices, Zips is it. All of the major locals are presented, as well as many of the startups and up and comers who offer some of the best value in the area. I know other dispensaries like to take shots at Zips, accusing them of selling under cost to cut other retailers, which seems to be unfounded. The prices on established brands are on par with other area dispensaries, including sales. It's just that Zips will also offer the aforementioned "second tier" and upstarts, at entry level prices, other dispensaries don't even carry. I'm sure the option is there if others want to cater to both upscale and downmarket, but most choose to stay high end. Sodo Location: I really like this place. Good prices . The problem is all the homeless people they let stand right on the side of their door entrance asking for money or weed. This is not cool. This is a cash only place and people loitering 2 feet from the door they know people are coming in and out with cash and the goods. It does not feel safe at all. Was in the area for 420 and arrived around noon and they only had two people working. The lady that rung me up explained that some people had requested the day off and the others had simply called out. So shame on those employees The store was packed and there was a long line so I had a chance to browse and jot down the name of some of the products. The way they assured everyone was helped, was once you got to the register, the person that was going to ring you out, helped you select products or answered any questions you had about the products. Some items were discounted up to 40% off so I ended up spending $52 on $73 worth 3 pre-rolls, some seasoning salt, and four grams Of all the products I purchased, the seasoning salt, rozay preroll and 9lb hammer buds were my top favorite. Snobby dispensary. I was hoping to get an immersive experience after seeing all the articles written about this place. I almost got denied entry for my visit during my trip for my vertical ID, but they decided to let me in eventually after some rapport. The inside is beautiful. Greek columns, high ceilings, lots of lighting, a ton of space. However, that doesn't offset the poor service. We went to the front, got coldly greeted with a "what do you want?". Lol okay, chill. We asked for sativa pre-roll recommendations and she literally just grabbed the first thing she saw, handed it to us, and rung us up. I bought it out of pity. If I could give this place zero stars I would, let me start off by saying that the bud tender who served us was completely rude and her attitude was very distasteful. If you work in a place like that you should be able to hold yourself up to the standards of the store, also she gave the wrong weed to us and didn't even double check with us to see if it was the right one. Beyond irritated and the manager tried to compensate us for the mistake but it's like your bud tenders should not be making those mistakes. They have a large selection of edibles and some cool oral syringes of concentrate. I like that they have security detail inside and outside. That is something that makes me feel better carrying cash into a place. So if that's what you're about - they are good. COOL? Probably. The inside is really fancy, they have beautiful people (sexy sells I guess) working the counters inside and a lot of lights (think casino meets smoke shop). DEFINITELY "cool"- totally would blow my mind if I was a tourist. Especially if I was like a bro at a ballgame doing some mary-J tourism. I wasn't really impressed with the customer service. They got my order right, which is the focus; However, the staff was kinda blah. (My sales associate sized me up and asked me if "Thats it?...That's ALL you're getting?- which was kinda rude. Return policy sucks, came in and they couldn't do anything with a completely unused cartridge that wasn't functional when I opened the package 2 weeks after purchasing.
