Great market near Ballard District. The market like two street interconnected as one street in angle. The market mostly farmer market has all kind of vegetables and fruit. You can find some cheese and seafood vendors. Most interesting vendors to me are the food and drink vendors. I like the unique food they are serving. Even the drink has special fragrances taste. Many of the vendors are gluten free food. I like the farmer vegetables due to most of them are organic produce.

Love love love this farmers market, such cute vibes and places to browse for produce, food, and trinkets We got breakfast sandwiches at one of the stands with some legit meat. The bread was soooo soft and perfect as was the meat. Just wished there was more spice but amazing either way

It's been a while since we've visited this market and it has gotten so much better! We tried a few stalls: a pizza spot, a kimchi stand, a bake shop, and a Malaysian food stand! Everything we've ordered was delicious! We also got a bouquet from one of the flower vendors towards the front of the market. We saw several vegetable and fruits stands and unique food vendors as well as several bake shops! We'd definitely love to come back and try some of the other bake shops and food stands!

In my opinion, the best and largest neighborhood farmer's market in Seattle! Sadly, I dont live in Ballard so I rarely make it here. In terms of selection of prepared food stalls, produce, meats, baked goods, dairy, eggs, spices and local craft makers, this market has it all! A lot of my go to market vendors are here like Olsen farms, Collins family orchards Some of the stand out stands are Masakan (Malaysian food) stand that has nice chicken satay and Valley Dogs that do a respectable corn dog. They also conveniently have some strategically placed porta-potties which is a nice perk. Parking can be an issue but there are some pay lots close by in case you strike out with street parking depending on how far you are willing to walk. It is also situated on Ballard Ave which is chock full of other tea and coffee shops, restaurants and stores to hit while you are there!

This farmers market is excellent! Was surprised by how large it is, spanning many city blocks. A really great variety of different vendors and lots of options for hot food to order, which not all farmers markets have a big selection of. Definitely loved the focaccia breakfast sandwich, great selection of produce and baked goods, and have a lot more I want to try next time!

Second time here. I totally understand why it's so well known. The market was so full of life but did get overwhelmingly crowded after 11 AM. I loved their fresh flowers and produce. So beautiful.

It's not often that I find myself in Ballard on a Sunday, but when I do the Farmers Market is a must-stop! Held every Sunday year round, the market features all types of vendors lining the historic streets of downtown B-town. From fresh veggies to flowers to crafts to food to all sorts of pickles and jellies, if you can't find something good to eat or fun to buy at this market, well, you're just not looking hard enough. If you get here a bit later in the day, most of the surrounding shops and restaurants are open, too. Which means double the fun (and opportunities to spend your hard-earned cash). Can prices get pretty high at many of the vendors? Um, yeah. This isn't your "discount" market by any stretch of the imagination. And parking isn't always easy to come by (but hey, at least most of it is free if you find street parking on a Sunday). There are also several paid lots within a block or two. And, of course, KC Metro will happily drop you off at the market on one of their luxurious accordion buses.

Smaller market compared to the Fremont one but still a great amount of variety for food & produce! Love to see more organic and grass fed options coming in. I got a raspberry croissant $8 from the French bakery and a strawberry rhubarb jam crepe $9. The vendors are always very nice and helpful.

We had an awesome time trying out all the different vendors this Sunday. There was an amazing pizza by Strega Pizzeria and amazing chicken by a Malaysian stand. Bought some Kim Chi made by a Hawaiian and some other baked goods from other stands. It was a very lively Farmers market and I enjoyed the crowd.

The Ballard Farmers Market is top notch! Open on Sunday mornings, it spans for multiple blocks with endless options to choose from. Despite how popular it is, it didn't feel too crowded because of how wide the streets are- allowing for lots of space for adults, kids and dogs. I had so many stand out bites, but here are the ones that were truly supreme: Valley Dogs- Fresh fried corn dogs made with premium meat dogs. They even have a breakfast corn dog with a sweet breakfast sausage and maple syrup. Ayako & Family- Sweet shokupan. Shokupan is Japanese bread typically cut thick with a light sweetness to it. You can buy the breads and jams to go, but getting a toast is absolutely worth it. They freshly heat up the bread with a crisp layer of butter and added jam. Public Grains- While the pasta was a major miss, the chicken cutlet sandwich was out of this world! I still dream of this sandwich. The chicken was so thick and juicy and paired perfectly with a saucy slaw. I also enjoyed the bagel spot at the front of the market and the champurrado from the taco stand. This Farmers Market is outstanding. Outside of the market, it was great that the area is lined with shops to also go into and explore.

I love shopping at the farmers market every Sunday! They have a wide array of fresh fruit and produce to choose from. Not to mention there are lots of vendors selling jewelry, home goods, candies, cookies and more! This is a year round market so you can shop in the summer and the winter. You can also try some of the food vendors/trucks here. I especially like the Patty Pan cooperative that sells veggie quesadillas with loads of cheese on their homemade tortillas. Can get very busy during the summer months, but its fun to see all the cute dogs!

The extraordinarily welcoming atmosphere, the relaxed people-watching, and the noteworthy prepared food options make this market a Sunday destination worth any Seattle visitor's time. And you can be sure that you will get loads of local flavor as customers range from all around the extended metro area. Perhaps the extraordinary success of this market is at least partly due to the prepared food stalls. The Bangalore Cafe is extraordinarily successful selling dosas, idlis, khara bhath, and Bangalore regional specialties that are authentic and a hit with the Indian crowd which comes here just to eat fresh tiffin-style meals. A huge draw is also elicited by the stone-oven pizza and the Ethiopian stall. But The Bangalore Cafe sets its own buzz for this market unlike any other across Seattle. The setting of Ballard Farmer's Market amidst quaint, historic streets with brickwork buildings which run parallel to the sea-bound canal and its industrial history, is itself interesting. The market stalls are rich in pickings with eclectic fermenters, mushroom tonic makers, brewers, picklers, pie-makers, bakers, knife-sharpeners, candle-makers, and jam producers. The farm-grown produce offers a terrific variety so you can't miss out on those including seasonal fruit. This market is year round so that's a huge draw.

TLDR: The absolute best place to wander on a sunny summer Sunday in SeattlexD And! Even dreary Nov to July Sundays turn a little brighter when perusing the stalls on Ballard Ave. There are many wonderful Sunday Farmers Markets across Seattle proper (West Seattle, Cap Hill), but as the daughter of a Ballard High grad (circa 1960s)... this one just hits different. Watch out for clueless parents with strollers AND dogs, even though there are multiple signs clearly stating NO DOGS ALLOWED. Otherwise, 5 stars! Longer: Back in my day *grandma emoji*, Ballard Ave had the old tried and trues like Hattie's Hat, Smoke Shop, but not a lot else. When I started playing club volley ball and practicing at Ballard HS on weekends, we'd stop on Ballard Ave for Taco Del Mar. When I moved back to Seattle in 2013, my bestie worked at two of the shiny new restaurants that popped up as the Ballard Ave Resurgence came to be and I worked near Leary/Dead Fred's. I spent A LOTTTTT of time on Ballard Ave. I was visiting Seattle over a gloriously warm week this summer, and found great joy fueled by warm & fuzzy nostalgia showing my boyfriend Ballard. We first putzed around the Market, spoke with a few vendors, exchanged smiles with random passersby, and sampled some tasty treats. One vendor in particular provided excellent customer service, ample samples ;p, and helped us pick out a few chamoy flavors to ensure we had a nice variety to bring home to CA. After checking out all the food options, we landed on the T'juana taco truck, and boy oh boy, was that the right move, or what?! We've been on a quesabirria taco tour lately, and these are now on the top of our list. Again, excellent service with a smile, and not a long wait at all! From the Farmers Market, we walked around "downtown Ballard" a bit, window shopping, explaining "this is where M & I did XYZ!" and "this used to be LMN, RIP!" before moving on to the Locks. While Cap Hill and West Seattle have other activities that can be enjoyed after time at the Market, I would argue Ballard has the best variety, and easy to access if you don't have a car (Cap Hill offers that, as well, but no Locks, no Beach within a 20-30 min walk).

Numerous requests from local residents to turn the music down to a more reasonable level have been ignored.
