The biggest thing that they could improve immediately would be the rice. The rice is almost inedible. How is it crunchy and lumpy at the same time? The texture made me gag multiple times. I believe good sushi doesn't need soy sauce. Well this sushi needed Diet Coke with every bite. The service was nice and enthusiastic about the menu. I couldn't tell her the truth about the food so when we got to the last roll and literally couldn't stomach more I said wed eaten too much and I'd just pay the uneaten roll charge. Some introspection in the kitchen could go a long way for this place mostly starting with the rice but literally none of the food was very good and all of it was overcooked. New York Tuna Roll-basic roll with decent fish, but the rice was very dry. Grey Goose Martinis-tasted watered down. Service however was quite good. Would I return? Maybe. It was a decent sushi meal (I have definitely had worse). But I am hoping there is better out there in Playa.
