Unbelievably clean for a truckstop. I love how they painted the store name on the asphalt outside. I ordered a full-size classic Italian hoagie. It came out as an open faced sandwich which is a little disappointing but good nonetheless. Only disappointing because they pack so much meat and cheese that it makes it difficult to eat. Especially without making a huge mess. Still not complaining.. I had to use my knife and cut it into sections and fold it like a typical sub. It was really good. They do have a pretty extensive menu. Lots of items for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I will try a hot sandwich or sub next time. The restroom was neat and tidy and the store itself was not overcrowded with shelves and isles as your normal gas station would be. Very pleasant to shop around. Nice and cool air conditioning for a pleasant respite from the summer heat. In the diner area, along the front wall there is a few gambling kiosks if you're willing to risk your money. (sorry. Hit and miss, just like some guys at the urinals. ;) If we need to pee and grab a beverage or two, this is the spot. Otherwise, the Dorrance rest area is just a little farther north on 81-N.

Typed in what was nearby and the roadside signs confirmed that Sheetz was off this exit. Now, entering and exiting is a bit of a task depending on how you approach. But once in the lot, it is pretty big with ample parking. Got out of the my vehicle and went inside and headed straight towards the facilities. Once finished in there I went to the coolers to pull out a drink. I had to wait here a bit as there were multiple people at the coolers. It was a hot day so I can understand. Found what I wanted and used the self checkouts, making for a quick exit out of the store.

It also gives me a reason to detour from my route to make a stop and fill the time that I have on my hands at the time. I had a ton of time on my hand before where I needed to be, so I took a detour to find this one. This location feels like it is a bit lonely as it sits in a more residential area if you are coming from the one end. The other way there are several other businesses, but nothing that would make this a commercial district in any way. Even though it feel a bit lonely here, they are all the bells and whistles at this location. Outdoor seating, indoor seating, many different fuel types, and of course all the goodies you have come to know of Sheetz. I stopped here to get myself a snack, use the facilities and grab a few things that I really didn't need. It was a fast experience as I was basically in and out. I did stick around a bit to after making my purchase. I sat outside and took in the day before I hopped back into my vehicle and headed to my final destination. Customer service was swift and polite here. They were attentive and made for a swift transaction. I would definitely stop back here on my way through if I'm ever in the area again.
