A group of us are in town for work, and decided to give this place a try from other Yelp reviews. Parking is interesting but not impossible - mostly on street. The deli is in an older house like building on the corner. There is an excellent and wide selection in addition to the subs. I had to get some red beet eggs and local chips as well. I had the Italian Stromboli - small was 10". It was delicious!!! My other team had the cold Italian and cheesesteak. They said it was amazing as well. Definitely a must try! read more

The Best Buy in town, made fresh, staff is super courteous and friendly. No one east of the Mississippi can make a better hoagie.

Vino's Deli is pretty much perfect. For old school Italian-style subs and sandwiches you are not going to find anything better. Fresh, reasonably priced and light years beyond any chain. You certainly won't find a better place in Wilkes-Barre. The service is friendly and efficient. It's a bit out of the way and parking is kind of a pain but it's worth the effort. There was quite a few people waiting when we ordered but we were out the door in less than ten minutes. Highly recommended. read more

I had the Large #29 Italian Stromboli sandwich. It was great. I went back & had another one while in town.

Since moving out of state, it had been about 10 years since my last Vino's hoagie. Sometimes the memory of how good something is creates too high of expectations that then result in disappointment. Not here. I demolished my 10" turkey hoagie like it was nothing, and my husband (who had never had them before) thought his chicken wing hoagie was the best he has had. The bread is just SO good, and they do not skimp on the meat. The prices are also very reasonable, and they were nice enough to let me pick them up a few minutes after they closed when we got delayed en route there. Definitely give them a try if you are passing through! read more

Driving through the area and found Vino's with a 5 star rating. Got off the highway and stopped in. Great deli with an amazing staff. It was lunchtime and it was busy but they were well staffed and efficient. We got a hot pastrami and chicken salad wrap. Both were excellent. Worth the detour. read more

We were driving thru PA and found this deli on Yelp. Definitely worth the trip. They are located in a neighborhood in a converted house. Small eat in area with a large take out service! My husband ordered two hotdogs and French fries I was worried they would be cold and soggy boy was I wrong! They came hot and fresh so good! I had a fresh turkey sandwich their style which was awesome! If we are ever in the area we will be back! Worth the trip! read more

Does not disappoint! I was lucky to find this place on my travels through Wilkes Barre. Vino's, if you are thinking of opening a shop in Philly, you 100% have my support:) I am crazy about a good sub/hoagie and this little shop is up with my top 10. We had the smoked Turkey and Vino's Italian and they both hit the spot. The large is easily enough for 2 days of lunch or dinner. Smoked Turkey is heavy on the smoked flavor, so if you are not into that, I would recommend getting the regular turkey. read more

Probably one of the best hoagie I've ever had. You can smell the Italian seasoning from the sidewalk. The full aroma smacks you in the face when you open the door. Workers are super nice ven though they are busy and working in tight quarters. The only bummer is there are only about four 2-seat tables if you want to eat in. Hands down one of the best places for a hoagie by local owners. They make everything as if they are going to eat it themselves. Everything is packed and you don't leave hungry. I could eat one of these hoagies every day for the rest of my life, but unfortunately, I no longer live in the area. I make a special trip to Vino's every time I am within a few hundred miles. I will not change, I have been ordering the #2 Ham & Cheese Hoagie ever since I was about 6 years old. There is a ton of finely sliced lettuce, the signature bread divider sopping up the oil & vinegar, and plenty of American cheese. Add a bag of Middleswarth BBQ, and I am in heaven. My friend Father Fine has been talking about these hoagies for over a year. Slowly detailing the astonishing quality of the meats and bread over such a course of time - gave Vino's the air of one of those old nineteen-forty serials (I'm looking at you Buck Rodgers) Wednesday Nights I play darts at The Elk's Lodge in Pringle. It's a dart league comprised of old union workers whose work history I don't actually know and people collecting social security - then of course myself, Father Fine and our kinda friend Piss, who just hugs way to much when he's had one too many. Father Fine finally brought me a Vino's sub during one of these Wednesday Dart Nights. I put it in the refrigerator beside the bar and listened to the elderly men choke on their cigarettes as they talked highly of the wrapped sub that was the biggest mystery of their lives since they wondered if George Washington was going to run again (seriously, these guys are so old) I continued to drink throughout the night, becoming more and more inebriated, eventually leaving the Elk's Lodge and visiting other bars, the hoagie with me the entire time. As I stumbled inside, I sat down on my couch, and listened to my dog moan and bark over the subtle smells escaping the classic parchment paper wrapping. I was drunk shame eating in the dark, the dog had seen this before - and she usually leaves me alone, probably assumes I'm thinking about being in a long distance relationship or how I've never really succeeded at anything. Man we put a lot on our dogs. I finally bit into the hoagie, A Classic, as Father Fine told Piss: "They don't have Italians they have The Classic. That's what you get." spoken as a true champion of the hoagie world. What happened to me in my drunken stupor, moments after the first bites of Vino's was something I can barely remember and will never forget it. I consumed it in a sort of fever dream, it's subtle hoagie majesty pulling me from a walking sleep into a frightening reality - where my dreams could be achieved. I made it upstairs at some point, falling asleep in my bed with my shoes still on, and I dreamed of a world where I would eat Vino's forever, and ever. And I silently thanked him or her or whoever may float above us pulling the strings, for friendship. For without friendship, I would have never had Vino's. read more
