I had a little problem on Saturday with my car going onto the track for the car wash. My hubcap came off because it brushed the left side of track. One of the guys got it back on but when I returned home it was no longer on. I talked to the general manager, Greg Avignon later in the day, he checked the video & saw my car going into the wash where the hubcap came off, etc. He gave me the most excellent customer service. He went to Toyota Carlsbad & got a new one, he called me to bring the car over so he could put the new one on, we split the cost of the new one, since it was on when I left, but came off before I got home. I pulled in with my bike my roof rack planning on removing it--the line was empty. I was rudely told that I needed to move my car and then take the bike down. I explained it would only take me 30 seconds to take off, again a disrespectful response. I thought I'd give the guy a second chance so I ask him what his name was to start over on good terms, I was ready to go ahead and offer my business despite his unprofessional behavior (he'd previously told me he was the owner of the place). He responded with, "my name is my name." The level of immaturity is astounding. The way he spoke to his staff, equally disrespectful. You have other options: use them, put unintelligent, small thinkers like this out of business: they don't deserve customers or a business. Furthermore, the vacuums aren't free, they give you a token and then you have to pay after two minutes vacuuming. read more

The wash is what you'd expect. If you don't want scratches, go to a 100% hand wash place. Some of these 1-Star reviews are buyer-beware cases in my opinion. Having tons of free vacuum spots is a big plus too. The main reason they get 5 stars is because I left about $1000 of golf clubs, ice skates, etc that I had taken out of my trunk so I could vacuum it and their landscaper had turned it all in and it was all there for me no problem when I came back to pick it up over an hour later. This is a great touchless car wash. They spray down your car manually and the automated parts are noticeable better than most. Free vacuuming with a wash purchase. Those work well and run awhile, too read more

I make regular use of the car wash at this Shell. My car is black and shows dust. In the spring when pollen is in the air or when the wind picks up the dust, it's convenient and cheap to get a quick basic wash here. At the cost of 5 minutes and about 5 dollars, I can get my car looking respectable again and put off a more serious cleaning. read more

Nice enough staff. They don't use any type of windex so your windows have a white film after each wash. Cheap!

Do not use this car wash! Completely ruined my new Audi. I guess I should have read the reviews first. I went into this car wash with a very mildly dusty brand new Audi and came out of it with scratches all over it the vehicle! Like the other reviewers on here, they gave me the same story they give everyone: "Our car wash wouldn't do that". I asked the guy how I could go into the car wash with a brand new car and come out of it with the paint job ruined by scratches and he didn't have an answer for me. But he did offer to have it buffed out, which was odd to me, since he claimed his car wash didn't cause it. They tried to buff it out and it didn't help. The scratches went right through the paint and I have to get the entire new car repainted. I can't say enough bad things about this place. They run a sleazy operation and they will ruin your car. This car wash is great! Fast and great! Car comes out clean for $6.50 can't beat that value for an express wash! This is NOT a full service wash where they vacuum and do everything for you! There are FREE vacuums on site you may use if you purchase a wash and they are great! Never clogged up hoses or weak suction! The staff are always friendly and helpful! They scrub your windows and bugs and back windshield and presoak your car well so that when you go inside the tunnel everything just wipes away! So give them a try! Some of there one star reviews are unjustified and one seems like the person was commenting on the wrong car wash business since these guys don't vacuum, wipe down your dash, or dry your car for you! This place has really gone down hill. Service sucks. New management? Too much time waiting while no one is finishing your car! I was not the only customer angry about the service. All workers appear to be nice, although most can not speak English and their chatter in Spanish is irritating. read more

They recently increased their prices 70%, which is part of the reason why I am giving 3 stars. The other part is because of they say car washes come with free vacuuming, but you are limited to 6 minutes. They don't tell you that upfront and when I asked them why they don't have signs, they said the owner does not want a "bunch" of signs around. If you purchase a car wash, they should give you unlimited vacuuming or at least 10 mins. read more

Don't go here for a car wash. It used to be great, an automated car wash and free vacuuming. I went there today and discovered that vacuuming is now limited to 8 minutes. I finished half of my car. According to the cashier, there is no way to extend the vacuuming time, it cannot be turned back on without buying another car wash. I will never go to this car wash again. read more

Just SCRATCHES ON MY BRAND NEW PAINT job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......wasn't wanting to run my car thru because of my brand new great paint job, I hand washed it myself just prior to this...but was heading out of town the next day and saw a seagull nailed it bad so I took the chance.....BAD, BAD IDEA...wiping it down after noticed several areas scratched!!!!! When talking to lead that day...and manager a week later...BOTH SAID SORRY BUT OUR WASH DOESN'T OR WOULDN'T DO THAT....! But I explained it was new paint andthe scrathes were not there before....Sorry ....nothing we can do because our wash wouldn't do that! WELL FOLKS YOU DO THE MATH...WOULD YOU USE THEM TO WASH YOUR VALUABLE CAR AND PAINT JOB??? I NEVER, EVER WILL DO THAT AGAIN...OR RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!! WOULD YOU?? By the way, we have used them for years since living here in Encinitas.....but first time after a new expensive paint job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foolishly thinking of a better outcome...not have them re-paint but just pay to buff out at least....NOT!!! I have been going to this car wash for years. One bad experience and I will never go back. It's not rocket science to go through these drive through car washes. Usually you put your money in a machine select the wash you want and drive through yourself. At this location you have someone there assisting, taking payment and instructing you where to align your wheels to go through the wash correctly. I have never in my life been so disrespected. Even if you are having a bad day you should always treat your customers with respect. As I pulled up (remember I have been going here for years) there were two men, one directing me where to align my wheels and was very impatient at the speed I was turning my wheel, apparently not fast enough as he is gesturing with his hands rapidly and an annoyed look on his face. He told me to release my steering wheel, as I did I heard the rubber on my tires screech and my instant reaction was to grab on to the wheel when he flipped out, looked at the other worker and said "WOW, WOW, is she serious". He comes to the window reaches in my car and grabs my steering wheel and says "I told you to release the wheel". Don't ever reach into someones car without their permission. Mind you I am an adult, mother of three kids, not a 16 year old kid (Which either way you should not speak to a customer like this). I started to say "I don't appreciate you disrespecting me" and he interrupted me and asked what? $6, $7 or $8 (the price of the washes). To say the least, I was in complete shock how I was treated. I drove over to the mini mart to ask the girl inside if the manager was available. Long story a little bit shorter, she mentioned that the older man that was rude to me was the manager... UNBELIEVABLE! I asked if I could get a business email of his manager which is the owner and she said that I would have to speak to the manager to get that information. Yeah that's not going to happen, so the only thing in my control is to put this out there so possibly the owner sees what a horrible manager is running his business. I gave it one star because in the past there was a younger woman that was always there and she was always polite. I don't care how great the wash is, if the customer service is negative and disrespectful I will never go there again and I will spread the word as much as I can. read more
